1 ᎾᏍᎩᏃ ᏄᎵᏍᏔᏂᏙᎸ ᏥᏌ ᎨᎵᎵ ᎤᏪᏙᎸᎩ; ᎥᏝᏰᏃ ᏳᏚᎵᏍᎨ ᏧᏗᏱ ᎤᏪᏓᏍᏗᏱ, ᏅᏓᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᏍᎬᎩ ᎠᏂᏧᏏ ᎠᎾᏁᎶᏗᏍᎬ ᎬᏩᎯᏍᏗᏱ.
AND Jesus after these things travelled about in Galilee: for he would not go about in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill him.
2 ᎠᏂᏧᏏ ᏕᎦᎵᏦᏛᎢ-ᏧᎾᎵᏍᏓᏴᏗᏱ ᎤᏍᏆᎸᎯᏗᏒᎩ.
And a feast of the Jews was nigh, the feast of tabernacles.
3 ᎠᎾᎵᏅᏟᏃ ᎯᎠ ᏂᎬᏩᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎭᏓᏅᎾ, ᎠᎴ ᏧᏗᏱ ᏫᎶᎯ, ᎾᏍᎩᏃ ᎨᏣᏍᏓᏩᏗᏙᎯ ᎾᏍᏉ ᎠᏂᎪᎲᎭ ᏄᏍᏛ ᏕᏣᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎲᎢ.
Then said his disciples to him, Depart hence, and go into Judea, that thy disciples also may see thy works which thou doest.
4 ᎥᏝᏰᏃ ᎩᎶ ᎠᏥᎦᏔᎯ ᎢᏳᎵᏍᏙᏗᏱ ᏧᏚᎵᏍᎪᎢ ᎤᏕᎵᏛ ᏱᏚᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎰᎢ. ᎢᏳᏃ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎯᎠ ᎿᎭᏛᏁᎮᏍᏗ, ᎡᎶᎯ ᎬᏂᎨᏒ ᏂᏯᏛᏂᏏ.
For no man doeth any thing in secret, yet seeketh himself to appear publicly: if thou doest these things, exhibit thyself to the world.
5 ᎠᎾᎵᏅᏟᏰᏃ ᎾᏍᏉ ᎥᏝ ᏱᎬᏬᎯᏳᎲᏍᎨᎢ.
For even his own brethren did not believe on him.
6 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᏥᏌ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎥᏝ ᎠᏏ ᏯᎩᏍᏆᎸᎡᎭ; ᏂᎯᏍᎩᏂ ᏂᎪᎯᎸᏉ ᎢᏥᏍᏆᎸᎡᎰᎢ.
Jesus therefore saith to them, My proper time is not yet come: but your time is always ready.
7 ᎡᎶᎯ ᎥᏝ ᎢᏥᏍᎦᎩ ᏱᏅᎦᎵᏍᏓ; ᎠᏴᏍᎩᏂ ᎠᎩᏍᎦᎦ, ᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᎭ ᏥᏥᏃᎮᎭ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏚᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎲ ᎤᏲᎢᏳ ᎨᏒᎢ.
The world cannot hate you, but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that its deeds are evil.
8 ᏂᎯ ᏙᏗᎾᎵᏍᏓᏴᎲᏍᎬ ᎢᏤᎾ; ᎥᏝ ᎠᏏ ᎠᏴ ᏙᏗᎾᎵᏍᏓᏴᎲᏍᎬ ᏴᏓᎨᏏ; ᎥᏝᏰᏃ ᎠᏏ ᏯᎩᏍᏆᎸᎡᎸ.
Go ye up to this feast: for I am not yet going up to this feast, because my fixed time is not yet arrived.
9 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸ, ᎠᏏᏉ ᎤᏪᏙᎸᎩ ᎨᎵᎵ.
Thus speaking to them then, he continued in Galilee.
10 ᎠᏎᏃ ᎠᎾᎵᏅᏟ ᎤᏁᏅᏛ ᏂᎨᏐᎢ, ᎿᎭᏉ ᎾᏍᏉ ᏙᏗᎾᎵᏍᏓᏴᎲᏍᎬ ᎤᏪᏅᏒᎩ, ᎥᏝ ᎬᏂᎨᏒᎢ, ᎤᏕᎵᏛᏉᏍᎩᏂ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ.
But as soon as his disciples were gone up, then went he also himself up to the feast: not in public, but as in concealment.
11 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎠᏂᏧᏏ ᎬᏩᏲᎸᎩ ᏓᎾᎵᏍᏓᏴᎲᏍᎬᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏂᏪᏒᎩ; ᎭᏢ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎡᏙᎭ?
The Jews then sought for him at the feast, and said, Where is he?
12 ᎤᏣᏛᏃ ᎤᏕᎵᏛ ᏓᎾᎵᏃᎮᎵᏙᎲᎩ ᏴᏫ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎬᏩᏃᎮᏍᎬᎢ; ᎢᎦᏛᏰᏃ ᎯᎠ ᎾᏂᏪᏍᎬᎩ; ᎣᏏᏳ ᎠᏍᎦᏯ; ᎢᎦᏛᏃ, ᎥᏝ, ᏕᎦᎶᏄᎮᏉ ᏴᏫ, ᎠᎾᏗᏍᎬᎩ.
And there was a great murmur concerning him among the multitude: some said, Surely he is a good man: others said, No; he only deceiveth the people.
13 ᎠᏎᏃ ᎥᏝ ᎩᎶ ᎬᏂᎨᏒ ᏳᏃᎮᏍᎨᎢ, ᎤᏓᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᏍᎬᎩ ᏓᏂᎾᏰᏍᎬ ᎠᏂᏧᏏ.
Yet no person spake openly of him for fear of the Jews.
14 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎠᏰᎵ ᎢᏴᏛ ᎠᎵᏰᎢᎵᏒ ᏓᎾᎵᏍᏓᏴᎲᏍᎬᎢ ᏥᏌ ᎤᏛᏅ-ᏗᎦᎳᏫᎢᏍᏗᏱ ᎤᏴᎸᎩ, ᎠᎴ ᏚᏕᏲᏅᎩ.
But now at the middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.
15 ᎠᏂᏧᏏᏃ ᎤᏂᏍᏆᏂᎪᏒᎩ, ᎠᎴ ᏄᏂᏪᏒᎩ; ᎦᏙ ᎤᎵᏍᏙᏔᏅ ᎯᎠ ᎠᏍᎦᏯ ᎪᏪᎵ ᏗᏏᎾᏏᏳ ᏥᎩ, ᏧᏕᎶᏆᎥᎯᏃ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ?
And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man the scriptures, not being a scholar?
16 ᏥᏌ ᏚᏁᏤᎸᎩ, ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏒᎩ; ᏥᏕᎦᏕᏲᎲᏍᎦ, ᎥᏝ ᎠᏆᏤᎵᎦ ᏱᎩ, ᎤᏤᎵᎦᏍᎩᏂ ᏅᏛᎩᏅᏏᏛ.
Jesus answered them and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
17 ᎢᏳᏃ ᎩᎶ ᎤᏚᎵᏍᎨᏍᏗ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏄᏍᏛ ᎤᏚᎵᏍᎬ ᏧᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᏗᏱ, ᎠᏎ ᎤᏙᎴᎰᎯᏍᏗ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎯᎠ ᏥᏕᎦᏕᏲᎲᏍᎦ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᏅᏓᏳᏓᎴᏅᎯ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ, ᎠᎴ ᏥᏬᏂᏍᎬ ᎠᏋᏒᏉ ᎠᏆᏓᏅᏖᎸᎯ ᎢᎨᏎᏍᏗ.
If any man will do his will, he shall know respecting the doctrine, whether it is of God, or whether I speak from myself.
18 ᎩᎶ ᎤᏩᏒ ᎤᏓᏅᏖᏛ ᏥᎦᏬᏂᏍᎪᎢ, ᎤᏩᏒᏉ ᎠᏥᎸᏉᏗᏳ ᎢᏳᎵᏍᏙᏗᏱ ᎤᏲᎰᎢ; ᎩᎶᏍᎩᏂ ᏅᏓᏳᏅᏏᏛ ᎠᏥᎸᏉᏗᏳ ᎢᏳᎵᏍᏙᏗᏱ ᏧᏲᎰᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᏚᏳᎪᏛ ᎨᏐᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎥᏝ ᎠᏠᎾᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᏳᏓᏑᏲᎢ.
He that speaketh from himself, seeks his own individual honour: but he that seeketh the glory of him that sent him, he is true, and iniquity in him there is none.
19 ᏝᏍᎪ ᎼᏏ ᏱᏥᏁᎴ ᏗᎧᎿᎭᏩᏛᏍᏗ? ᎠᏎᏃ ᎥᏝ ᎩᎶ ᏳᏓᏑᏯ ᏗᎧᎿᎭᏩᏛᏍᏗ ᏂᎦᏪᏍᎬ ᏱᎾᏛᏁᎭ. ᎦᏙᏃ ᎢᏣᏚᎵ ᏍᎩᎢᏍᏗᏱ?
Hath not Moses given you the law, yet none of you practises the law? Why do ye seek to kill me?
20 ᎤᏂᏣᏘ ᎤᏂᏁᏨᎩ, ᎯᎠ ᏄᏂᏪᏒᎩ; ᎠᏍᎩᎾ ᏣᏯᎠ; ᎦᎪ ᎤᏚᎵ ᏣᎯᏍᏗᏱ?
The multitude answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who is seeking to kill thee?
21 ᏥᏌ ᎤᏁᏨᎩ, ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᏑᏓᎴᎩ ᏓᎩᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎸ, ᏂᏥᎥᏃ ᎢᏥᏍᏆᏂᎪᏍᎦ.
Jesus answered and said unto them, I have performed one work, and ye all marvel.
22 ᎼᏏ ᎠᎱᏍᏕᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎢᏥᏁᎸᎩ; ᎥᏝᏍᎩᏂᏃᏅ ᎼᏏ ᎤᎾᏄᎪᏫᏒᎯ ᏱᎩ, ᎠᏂᎦᏴᎵᎨᏍᎩᏂ ᎤᏂᎾᏄᎪᏫᏒᎯ; ᏂᎯᏃ ᎤᎾᏙᏓᏆᏍᎬᏃ ᎢᎡᏥᎤᏍᏕᏎᎰ ᎠᏍᎦᏯ.
Because Moses ordered you circumcision; (not that it comes from Moses, but from our ancestors; ) so ye circumcise a man on the sabbath-day.
23 ᎢᏳᏃ ᎠᏍᎦᏯ ᎤᎾᏙᏓᏆᏍᎬ ᎢᎦ ᏯᏥᎤᏍᏕᏎᎭ, ᏱᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᎭ ᏗᎧᎿᎭᏩᏛᏍᏗ ᎼᏏ ᎤᏤᎵ ᎤᏲᎢᏍᏗ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᏥᎪ ᎢᏍᎩᏍᎦᎦ ᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᎭ ᎠᏍᎦᏯ ᏂᎬ ᎠᏰᎸ ᏥᏥᏅᏩᏅ ᎤᎾᏙᏓᏆᏍᎬ ᎢᎦ?
If a man receive circumcision on the sabbath-day, that the law of Moses should not be violated; are ye incensed against me, because I have made a man whole on the sabbath-day?
24 ᏞᏍᏗ ᏕᏣᎧᏂᏍᎬᏉ ᏱᏗᏧᎪᏗᏍᎨᏍᏗ, ᏚᏳᎪᏛᏍᎩᏂ ᏕᏧᎪᏗᏍᎨᏍᏗ.
Judge not by appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
25 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎢᎦᏛ ᏥᎷᏏᎵᎻ ᎠᏁᎯ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏂᏪᏒᎩ, ᏝᏍᎪ ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᎯᎠ ᏱᎩ ᏧᎾᏚᎵ ᎤᏂᎯᏍᏗᏱ?
Then said some of the people of Jerusalem, is not this the man whom they are seeking to kill?
26 ᎬᏂᏳᏉᏃ ᎾᏍᎦᎢᎲᎾ ᎦᏬᏂᎭ, ᎠᎴ ᎥᏝ ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ᏯᏃᏎᎭ. ᏥᏌ ᎤᏂᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯ ᎠᏂᎦᏔᎭ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯᏯ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᎨᏒᎢ?
And, lo! he speaketh openly, and they say not a word to him. Do the rulers certainly know that this man is really the Messiah?
27 ᎠᏎᏃ ᎢᏗᎦᏔᎭ ᎯᎠ ᎠᏍᎦᏯ ᏧᏓᎴᏅᎢ, ᎦᎶᏁᏛᏍᎩᏂ ᎦᎷᏨᎭ ᎥᏝ ᎩᎶ ᏱᎬᎦᏔᎮᏍᏗ ᏧᏓᎴᏅᎢ.
But we know this man whence he is: but when the Messiah cometh, no man knoweth whence he is.
28 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᏥᏌ ᎤᏪᎷᏅᎩ ᎤᏛᏅᏗᎦᎳᏫᎢᏍᏗᏱ ᏓᏕᏲᎲᏍᎬᎢ, ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏒᎩ; ᏍᎩᎦᏔᎭ, ᎠᎴ ᎾᏍᏉ ᎢᏥᎦᏔᎭ ᏗᏆᏓᎴᏅᎢ; ᎠᎴ ᎥᏝ ᎠᏋᏒᏉ ᎠᏆᏓᏅᏖᏛ ᏯᎩᎷᏨ, ᏅᏛᎩᏅᏏᏛᏍᎩᏂ ᏚᏳᎪᏛᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᏁᏥᎦᏔᎲᎾ ᏥᎩ.
Then spake Jesus aloud as he was teaching in the temple, and said, Ye both know me, and ye know from whence I am: and I came not of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.
29 ᎠᏴᏍᎩᏂ ᏥᎦᏔᎭ, ᎾᎿᎭᏰᏃ ᏅᏛᏆᏓᎴᏅᎯ, ᎠᎴ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏗᎩᏅᏒ.
But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me.
30 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎤᎾᏓᏅᏖᎸᎩ ᎬᏩᏂᏴᏗᏱ: ᎠᏎᏃ ᎥᏝ ᎩᎶ ᏳᏏᏔᏕᎢ, ᏅᏓᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᏍᎬᎩ ᎠᏏ ᏄᏍᏆᎸᎡᎸᎾ ᎨᏒᎢ.
Then they sought to apprehend him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.
31 ᎠᎴ ᎤᏂᏣᏛᎩ ᎬᏬᎯᏳᏅᎩ, ᎠᎴ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏂᏪᏒᎩ; ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᎦᎷᏨᎭ, ᏥᎪ ᎤᏟ ᎢᎦᎢ ᎤᏍᏆᏂᎪᏗ ᏙᏓᏳᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎵ, ᎡᏍᎦᏉ ᎯᎠ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏥᏚᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎸ?
But many of the multitude believed on him, and said, When the Messiah cometh, will he do greater miracles than those which this man doth?
32 ᎠᏂᏆᎵᏏ ᎤᎾᏛᎦᏅᎩ ᎤᏂᏣᏘ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎬᏩᏃᎮᏍᎬ ᎤᏕᎵᏛ ᏓᎾᎵᏃᎮᎵᏙᎲᎢ. ᎠᎴ ᎠᏂᏆᎵᏏ ᏄᏂᎬᏫᏳᏒᏃ ᎠᏥᎸ-ᎠᏁᎶᎯ ᏚᏂᏅᏒᎩ ᏗᎾᏓᏂᏱᏍᎩ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏭᏂᏂᏴᏗᏱ.
The Pharisees heard the people muttering these things respecting him; and the Pharisees and chief priests sent officers to apprehend him.
33 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᏥᏌ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎠᏏ ᏞᎦ ᎢᏨᏰᎳᏗᏙᎭ, ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᏅᏛᎩᏅᏏᏛ ᏧᏬᎸ ᏮᏛᏥᎶᏏ.
Then said Jesus unto them, A little while longer I am with you, and I am going to him that sent me.
34 ᏍᎩᏲᎮᏍᏗ, ᎠᏎᏃ ᏓᏍᎩᏯᏠᏥ; ᎠᎴ ᏫᎨᎥ ᎥᏝ ᏰᎵ ᏫᏴᎨᏥᎷᎩ.
Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, ye cannot come.
35 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎠᏂᏧᏏ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᎾᏓᏪᏎᎸᎩ, ᎭᏢ ᏮᏓᎦᎶᏏ, ᎦᏰᏗᏩᏛᏗ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᎢᎨᏎᏍᏗ? ᏧᎾᏓᎴᏅᏛᏍᎪ ᏴᏫ ᏓᏁᏩᏗᏒ ᎤᎾᏗᎦᎴᏲᏨᎯ ᏙᏛᏩᏛᎮᏏ, ᎠᎴ ᏫᏙᏓᎨᏲᏂ ᏧᎾᏓᎴᏅᏛ ᏴᏫ?
Then said the Jews among themselves, Whither will this man go, that we shall not find him? will he go to the dispersed among the Grecians, and teach the Greeks?
36 ᎦᏙ ᎦᏛᎦ ᎯᎠ ᏥᏄᏪᏒ; ᏍᎩᏲᎮᏍᏗ ᎠᏎᏃ ᏓᏍᎩᏯᏠᏥ, ᎠᎴ ᏫᎨᎥᎢ ᎥᏝ ᏫᏴᎨᏥᎷᎩ?
What is this saying which he hath spoken, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, ye cannot come?
37 ᎤᎵᏍᏆᎸᏗᏃ ᎢᎦ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎦᎸᏉᏗ ᎢᎦ ᎨᏒ ᏓᎾᎵᏍᏓᏴᎲᏍᎬᎢ, ᏥᏌ ᏚᎴᏅᎩ ᎠᎴ ᎤᏪᎷᏅᎩ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏒᎩ; ᎢᏳᏃ ᎩᎶ ᎤᏔᏕᎩᏍᎨᏍᏗ, ᎠᏴ ᏩᎩᎷᏥ, ᎠᎴ ᏩᏗᏔ.
Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood up and spake aloud, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink.
38 ᎩᎶ ᎠᏉᎯᏳᎲᏍᎨᏍᏗ, ᎤᏍᏉᎵᏱ ᏕᎦᎾᏄᎪᎨᏍᏗ ᎡᏉᏂ ᎬᏂᏛ ᎠᎹ ᏕᎨᏰᏍᏗ; ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᏥᏂᎦᏪ ᎪᏪᎵ.
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, from his belly shall rivers flow of living water.
39 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏒ, ᎤᏪᏛᏨᎩ ᎠᏓᏅᏙ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎬᏬᎯᏳᎲᏍᎩ ᎨᏥᏁᏗ ᎨᏒᎢ; ᏝᏰᏃ ᎠᏏ ᎦᎸᏉᏗᏳ ᎠᏓᏅᏙ ᏱᎦᎾᏄᎪᎨᎢ, ᏅᏓᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᏍᎬᎩ ᏥᏌ ᎠᏏ ᎾᏥᎸᏉᏗᏍᎬᎾ ᎨᏒᎢ.
(Now he spake this in reference to the Spirit, which they who believe on him should afterwards receive: for as yet the Holy Ghost was not given; because Jesus was not yet glorified.)
40 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᎤᏂᏣᏛ ᏴᏫ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎯᎠ ᎤᎾᏛᎦᏅ, ᎯᎠ ᏄᏂᏪᏒᎩ; ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯᏯ ᎯᎠ ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᎠᏙᎴᎰᏍᎩ.
Many then of the multitude, when they heard this declaration, said, This man is certainly a prophet.
41 ᎢᎦᏛᏃ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏂᏪᏒᎩ; ᎯᎠ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ. ᎠᏎᏃ ᎢᎦᏛ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏂᏪᏒᎩ; ᏥᎪ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᎨᎵᎵ ᏅᏓᏳᎾᏄᎪᎢᏍᏗ?
Others said, He is the Messiah. But others said, No: for cometh the Messiah out of Galilee?
42 ᏝᏍᎪ ᎪᏪᎵ ᎯᎠ ᏱᏂᎦᏪᎭ? ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᏕᏫ ᎤᏁᏢᏔᏅᏛ ᎨᏒ ᎤᎾᏄᎪᎢᏍᏗ, ᎠᎴ ᎦᏚᏱ ᎦᏚᎲᎢ ᏕᏫ ᎤᏕᏅᎢ?
Doth not the scripture say, That the Messiah cometh of the seed of David, and from the town of Bethlehem, whence David originally was?
43 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᏔᎵ ᏄᎾᏓᏛᎩ ᏴᏫ, ᏅᏓᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᏍᎬᎩ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎬᏩᏍᏛᏗᏍᎬᎢ.
There was a division therefore among the multitude on account of him.
44 ᎠᎴ ᎢᎦᏛ ᎤᎾᏓᏑᏴᎩ ᎤᎾᏚᎵᏍᎬᎩ ᎬᏩᏂᏴᏗᏱ; ᎠᏎᏃ ᎥᏝ ᎩᎶ ᏳᏏᏔᏕᎢ.
Now some of them were desirous to apprehend him; but no one laid hands upon him.
45 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᏗᎾᏓᏂᏱᏍᎩ ᎬᏩᏂᎷᏤᎸᎩ ᏄᏂᎬᏫᏳᏒ ᎠᏥᎸ-ᎠᏁᎶᎯ ᎠᎴ ᎠᏂᏆᎵᏏ. ᎯᎠᏃ ᏂᏚᏂᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎦᏙᏃ Ꮭ ᏴᎡᏣᏘᏃᎦ?
Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisee; and they said to them, Why have ye not brought him?
46 ᏗᎾᏓᏂᏱᏍᎩ ᎤᏂᏁᏨ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏂᏪᏒᎩ; ᎥᏝ ᎢᎸᎯᏳ ᎩᎶ ᏱᎬᏩᏬᏂᏐ ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᎯᎠ ᏂᎦᏪᏍᎬ ᎦᏬᏂᏍᎬᎢ.
The officers answered, Never did man before speak in such a manner as this man.
47 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎠᏂᏆᎵᏏ ᎤᏂᏁᏨ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏂᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᏥᎪ ᏂᎯ ᎾᏍᏉ ᎡᏥᎶᏄᎡᎸ?
The Pharisees then replied to them, Are ye also deluded?
48 ᏥᎪ ᎩᎶ ᏄᏂᎬᏫᏳᏒ ᎠᎴ ᎠᏂᏆᎵᏏ ᎬᏬᎯᏳᏅ?
Hath any one of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him?
49 ᎯᎠᏍᎩᏂ ᏴᏫ ᏗᎧᎿᎭᏩᏛᏍᏗ ᎾᏂᎦᏔᎲᎾ ᏥᎩ ᎨᏥᏍᎩᏅᏛᎯ.
But this rabble, which knoweth not the law, is accursed.
50 ᏂᎦᏗᎹᏏ, — ᏥᏌ ᏒᏃᏱ ᎤᎷᏤᎸᎯ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎨᎸᎩ, — ᎾᏍᎩ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ;
Nicodemus saith unto them, (the same person who came to him by night, being one of their body, )
51 ᏥᎪ ᏗᎩᎧᎿᎭᏩᏛᏍᏗ ᏚᏭᎪᏓᏁᎰ ᎩᎶ ᎠᏏ ᎾᎦᏛᎦᏁᎸᎾ ᏥᎨᏐᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏚᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎲ ᎠᏙᎴᎰᏒᎯ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᏥᎨᏐᎢ?
Doth our law condemn a man, without first hearing his defence, and knowing what he hath done?
52 ᎤᏂᏁᏨ ᎯᎠ ᏅᎬᏩᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᏥᎪ ᎾᏍᏉ ᏂᎯ ᎨᎵᎵ ᎮᎯ? ᏣᏲᎦ ᎠᎴ ᎭᎦᏌᏯᏍᏓ, ᏝᏰᏃ ᎨᎵᎵ ᎤᎾᏄᎪᎢᏍᏗ ᏱᎩ ᎠᏙᎴᎰᏍᎩ.
They answered and said to him, Art thou not from Galilee too? Search and see: for a prophet, out of Galilee, never was raised up.
53 ᏂᎦᏛᏃ ᏙᏧᏁᏅᏒ ᏫᏙᎤᏂᎶᏒᎩ.
So each went to his own home.
