Psalmet 76

1 Perëndia njihet mirë në Judë, emri i tij është i madh në Izrael.

To the Chief Musician. With Stringed Instruments. A Melody of Asaph, a Song. God is, known in Judah, In Israel, great is his Name;

2 Tabernakulli i tij është në Salem dhe ai banon në Sion.

Now hath come into Salem, his pavilion, And his dwelling-place into Zion.

3 Këtu ai ka copëtuar shigjetat e zjarrta të harkut, mburojën dhe shpatën e luftës. (Sela)

There, hath he broken in pieces the arrows of the bow, shield and sword, and battle. (Selah)

4 Ti dukesh i lavdishëm dhe i fuqishëm mbi malet e presë.

Enveloped in light, thou, art more majestic than the mountains of prey.

5 Trimat i kanë zhveshur, i ka zënë gjumi, dhe asnjë prej atyre trimave nuk ka mundur të përdorë duart e tij.

The valiant of heart have become a spoil, They have slumbered their sleep, And none of the men of might have found their hands.

6 Mbas qortimit tënd, o Perëndia i Jakobit, qerret dhe kuajt mbetën të shushatur.

At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, Stunned are the horsemen.

7 Nga ti, pikërisht nga ti, duhet të kenë frikë; dhe kush mund të rezistojë para teje kur zemërohesh?

As for thee, to be feared thou art! Who then shall stand before thee, because of the power of thine anger?

8 Ti ke bërë që të dëgjohet nga qielli vendimi yt, tokën e zuri frika dhe heshti,

Out of the heavens, didst thou cause judgment to be heard, Earth, feared and was still:

9 kur Perëndia u ngrit për të gjykuar, për të çliruar tërë nevojtarët e tokës. (Sela)

When God rose up to judgment, To save all the oppressed of the earth. (Selah)

10 Edhe zemërimi i njerëzve do të shndrrohet në lavdi për ty, dhe ti do të rrethohesh me vetë mbeturinat e zemërimi të tyre.

For the multitude of mankind shall give thanks unto thee, The remainder of the multitude, shall keep holy festival unto thee.

11 Bëjini zotime Zotit, Perëndisë tuaj, dhe plotësojini; tërë ata që rinë rreth tij t’i çojnë dhurata të Tmerrshmit.

Vow and pay, unto Yahweh your God, —Let, all who are round about him, bear along a gift unto him who is to be revered.

12 Ai u heq frymën qeveritarëve, nga ai druhen mbretërit e tokës.

He cutteth off the spirit of nobles, he is of reverend majesty to the kings of the earth.
