“But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then those you let remain of them will be like pricks in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will harass you in the land in which you dwell.

| وَلَكِنْ إِنْ لَمْ تَطْرُدُوا أَهْلَ الأَرْضِ مِنْ أَمَامِكُمْ، يُصْبِحُ الْبَاقُونَ مِنْهُمْ أَشْوَاكاً فِي عُيُونِكُمْ، وَمَنَاخِسَ فِي جَوَانِبِكُمْ، ويُضَايِقُونَكُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ الَّتِي أَنْتُمْ مُقِيمُونَ فِيهَا، |
কিন্তু তোমালোকে যদি তোমালোকৰ আগৰ পৰা সেই দেশ নিবাসীসকলক দূৰ নকৰা, তেন্তে তোমালোকে যিসকলক অৱশিষ্ট ৰাখিবা, তেওঁলোকেই তোমালোকৰ চকুত কাঁইট আৰু তোমালোকৰ গাৰ কাষত হুলস্বৰূপ হ’ব আৰু তোমালোকে নিবাস কৰা সেই দেশত তেওঁলোকে তোমালোকক ক্লেশ দিব।

倘若你们不赶出那地的居民，所容留的居民就必作你们眼中的刺，肋下的荆棘，也必在你们所住的地上扰害你们。

Mais si vous ne voulez pas tuer les habitants de la terre, ceux qui resteront seront comme des clous dans vos yeux et des lances dans vos côtés, et ils vous seront contraires dans la terre de votre habitation;
Mais si vous ne chassez pas devant vous les habitants du pays, ceux d’entre eux que vous laisserez seront comme des épines dans vos yeux et des aiguillons dans vos côtés, ils seront vos ennemis dans le pays où vous allez vous établir.

Or, si vous ne dépossédez pas à votre profit tous les habitants de ce pays, ceux que vous aurez épargnés seront comme des épines dans vos yeux et comme des aiguillons à vos flancs: ils vous harcèleront sur le territoire que vous occuperez;
Vertreibt ihr aber nicht vor euch des Landes Insassen, dann werde, was ihr davon übriglaßt, euch zu Dornen in den Augen und zu Stacheln in den Seiten! Sie sollen euch bedrängen in eurem Lande, in dem ihr siedelt!

Εάν όμως δεν εκδιώξητε τους κατοίκους της γης απ' έμπροσθέν σας, τότε όσους ηθέλετε αφήσει εξ αυτών να μένωσι, θέλουσιν είσθαι άκανθαι εις τους οφθαλμούς σας και κέντρα εις τας πλευράς σας και θέλουσι σας ενοχλεί εν τω τόπω όπου κατοικείτε·
ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ἀπολέσητε τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἀπὸ προσώπου ὑμῶν καὶ ἔσται οὓς ἐὰν καταλίπητε ἐξ αὐτῶν σκόλοπες ἐν τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς ὑμῶν καὶ βολίδες ἐν ταῖς πλευραῖς ὑμῶν καὶ ἐχθρεύσουσιν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἐφ’ ἣν ὑμεῖς κατοικήσετε
પણ જો તમે તે દેશના રહેવાસીઓને તમારી આગળથી હાંકી નહિ કાઢો, તો તેઓમાંના જેઓને તમે રહેવા દેશો તેઓ તમારી આંખમાં કણીરૂપ અને તમારા પડખામાં કાંટારૂપ થઈ પડશે. જે દેશમાં તમે વસો છો ત્યાં તેઓ તમારા જીવનો પર દુઃખ લાવશે.
