Nehemiah 2:8
and a letter to Asaph the keeper of the king’s forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the citadel by the temple, for the wall of the city, and for the house that I will occupy.” The king granted my requests, because of the good hand of my God on me.

| وَرِسَالَةٌ إِلَى آسَافَ حَارِسِ فِرْدَوْسِ ٱلْمَلِكِ لِكَيْ يُعْطِيَنِي أَخْشَابًا لِسَقْفِ أَبْوَابِ ٱلْقَصْرِ ٱلَّذِي لِلْبَيْتِ، وَلِسُورِ ٱلْمَدِينَةِ، وَلِلْبَيْتِ ٱلَّذِي أَدْخُلُ إِلَيْهِ». فَأَعْطَانِي ٱلْمَلِكُ حَسَبَ يَدِ إِلَهِي ٱلصَّالِحَةِ عَلَيَّ. |
| وَرِسَالَةً إِلَى آسَافَ الْمَسْئُولِ عَنْ غَابَاتِ الْمَلِكِ لِيُعْطِيَنِي أَخْشَاباً أَصْنَعُ مِنْهَا دَعَائِمَ بَوَّابَاتِ الْقَلْعَةِ الْمُجَاوِرَةِ لِلْهَيْكَلِ، وَسُورِ الْمَدِينَةِ، وَالدَّارِ الَّتِي سَأُقِيمُ فِيهَا». فَوَافَقَ الْمَلِكُ عَلَى طَلَبِي بِفَضْلِ رِعَايَةِ إِلَهِي الصَّالِحَةِ لِي. |
ৰজাৰ বনাঞ্চল ৰখীয়া আচফলৈও এখন চিঠি দিব পাৰে, যাতে মন্দিৰৰ কাষত থকা দুৰ্গৰ দুৱাৰৰ চৌকাঠ, নগৰৰ দেৱাল, আৰু যি গৃহত মই থাকিম সেই সকলোৰ বাবে তেওঁ মোক যেন কাঠ দিয়ে।” মোৰ ওপৰত ঈশ্বৰৰ মঙ্গলময় হাত থকাত, ৰজাই মোৰ অনুৰোধবোৰ গ্রহণ কৰিলে।
Həm də padşahın meşə nəzarətçisi Asəfə namə göndərilsin ki, məbədin yanındakı qala darvazalarına, şəhərin divarına və iqamətgahıma tirlər düzəltmək üçün mənə ağac versin». Allahın mərhəmətli əli üzərimdə olduğuna görə padşahdan nə istədimsə, mənə verdi.

আর মন্দিরের পাশে অবস্থিত দুর্গের দরজার ও শহরের দেওয়ালের ও আমার ঘরে ঢোকার দরজার কড়িকাঠের জন্য রাজার বন রক্ষক আসফ যেন আমাকে কাঠ দেন, এই জন্য তাঁর নামেও একটি চিঠি দিতে আদেশ দিক।” তাতে আমার উপরে আমার ঈশ্বরের মঙ্গলময় হাত থাকায় রাজা আমাকে সে সমস্ত দিলেন।
এছাড়া তিনি যেন তাঁর বনরক্ষক আসফের কাছে একটি চিঠি দেন যাতে তিনি মন্দিরের পাশের দুর্গ-দ্বার ও নগরের প্রাচীরের ও আমার থাকবার ঘরের কড়িকাঠের জন্য আমাকে কাঠ দেন।” আমার উপর আমার ঈশ্বরের মঙ্গলময় হাত থাকায় রাজা আমার সব অনুরোধ রক্ষা করলেন।
и писмо до пазителя на царското бранище Асаф, за да ми даде дървета да направя греди за вратите на крепостта при дома, и за градската стена, и за къщата, в която ще се настаня. И царят ми разреши всичко, понеже добрата ръка на моя Бог беше над мене.

Ug usa ka sulat ngadto kang Asaph nga magbalantay sa kalasangan sa hari, aron ako hatagan ug tigkahoy nga buhaton ug mga sagbayan sa mga ganghaan sa castillo nga bahin sa balay, ug alang sa kuta lungsod ug alang sa balay nga akong pagaabutan. Ug ang hari mihatag kanako, sumala sa maayong kamot sa akong Dios sa ibabaw nako.

Ook een brief aan Asaf, den bewaarder van den lusthof, denwelken de koning heeft, dat hij mij hout geve om te zolderen de poorten van het paleis, dat aan het huis is, en tot den stadsmuur, en tot het huis, waar ik intrekken zal. En de koning gaf ze mij, naar de goede hand mijns Gods over mij.
bovendien een brief voor Asaf, den koninklijken houtvester, dat hij mij hout moet leveren, om de poorten van de burcht te overkappen, die tot de tempel behoort, en voor de stadsmuur en de woning, waar ik mijn intrek zal nemen. Also, [please write] a letter to Asaph, the man who takes care of your forest [in that area], telling him to give me timber to make the beams to support the gates of the fortress that is near the temple, and timber for making the walls of the city, and for building the house in which I [will live].” The king did what I requested him to do, because my God was graciously/kindly (helping/acting for) me.
May there also be a letter for Asaph the keeper of the king's forest, so that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the fortress next to the temple, and for the wall of the city, and for the house in which I will live.” So because the good hand of God was on me, the king granted me my requests.

Et une lettre pour Asaph, gardien de la forêt du roi, afin qu’il me donne des bois, et que je puisse couvrir les portes de la tour de la maison, et les murs de la ville, et la maison dans laquelle j’entrerai. Et le roi me les donna, à cause que la main favorable de mon Dieu était avec moi.
et une lettre pour Asaph, garde forestier du roi, afin qu’il me fournisse du bois de charpente pour les portes de la citadelle près de la maison, pour la muraille de la ville, et pour la maison que j’occuperai. Le roi me donna ces lettres, car la bonne main de mon Dieu était sur moi.
