Luke 5:33
They said to him, “Why do John’s disciples often fast and pray, likewise also the disciples of the Pharisees, but yours eat and drink?”

| وَقَالُوا لَهُ: «إِنَّ تَلاَمِيذَ يُوحَنَّا يَصُومُونَ كَثِيراً وَيَرْفَعُونَ الطِّلْبَاتِ، وَكَذلِكَ يَفْعَلُ أَيْضاً تَلاَمِيذُ الْفَرِّيسِيِّينَ؛ وَأَمَّا تَلاَمِيذُكَ فَيَأْكُلُونَ وَيَشْرَبُونَ!» |

Եւ նրանցից ոմանք ասացին նրան. «Ինչո՞ւ Յովհաննէսի, ինչպէս եւ փարիսեցիների աշակերտները ծոմ են պահում յաճախ եւ աղօթք անում, իսկ քո աշակերտները ուտում են ու խմում»:
Անոնք ալ ըսին. «Ինչո՞ւ Յովհաննէսի աշակերտները յաճախ ծոմ կը պահեն եւ աղերսանք կը մատուցանեն, նմանապէս Փարիսեցիներուն աշակերտները, բայց քուկիններդ կ՚ուտեն ու կը խմեն»:
তেওঁলোকে যীচুক ক’লে, “যোহনৰ শিষ্য সকলে প্রায়ে প্রার্থনা কৰে আৰু লঘোন দিয়ে, ফৰীচী সকলৰ অনুগামী সকলেও সেইদৰে কৰে; কিন্তু আপোনাৰ শিষ্য সকলে সকলো সময়তে ভোজন-পান কৰে।”

И те Му рекоха: Иоановите ученици често постят и правят молитви, така и фарисейските, а Твоите ядат и пият.

Then they said to Him, “Why do the disciples of John fast often and make prayers, and likewise those of the Pharisees, but yours keep eating and drinking?”
“Well, John's disciples often fast and pray, and the Pharisees' disciples do so as well. But your disciples don't—they go on eating and drinking,” they told him.
Then they said vnto him, Why do the disciples of Iohn fast often, and pray, and the disciples of the Pharises also, but thine eate and drinke?
And they said to Him, Wherefore do the disciples of John fast, and make supplications; likewise also those of the Pharisees; but thy disciples eat and drink?

[Those Jewish leaders] said to Jesus, “The disciples of John [the Baptizer] often abstain from food [to show that they want to please God], and the disciples of the Pharisees do that, too. But your disciples keep on eating and drinking! [Why do not they fast like the others]?”
“John’s disciples,” they said to Jesus, “Often fast and say prayers, and so do the disciples of the Pharisees, while yours are eating and drinking!”
Then they sayde vnto him: Why do the disciples of Iohn fast often and praye and the disciples of ye Pharises also: and thine eate and drinke?
