Joshua 7:2
Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is beside Beth Aven, on the east side of Bethel, and spoke to them, saying, “Go up and spy out the land.” The men went up and spied out Ai.

যিহোচূৱাই যিৰীহোৰ পৰা বৈৎএলৰ পূবফালে থকা, বৈৎ-আবনৰ ওচৰৰ অয়লৈ মানুহ পঠাই ক’লে, “তোমালোকে উঠি গৈ, গুপুতে এই দেশৰ বুজ-বিচাৰ লৈ আঁহাগৈ।” তেতিয়া উঠি গৈ তেওঁলোকে অয়ৰ বুজ-বিচাৰ ল’লে।

এদিকে যিহোশূয় যিরীহো থেকে সেই অয় নগরে লোক পাঠালেন, যেটি বেথেলের পূর্বদিকে বেথ-আবনের কাছে অবস্থিত ছিল, এবং তাদের বললেন, “তোমরা উঠে যাও ও ওই অঞ্চলটি গোপনে পর্যবেক্ষণ করো।” তাই সেই লোকেরা উঠে গেল ও গোপনে অয় নগরটি পর্যবেক্ষণ করল।
