Get up! Sanctify the people, and say, ‘Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, for the LORD, the God of Israel, says, “There is a devoted thing among you, Israel. You cannot stand before your enemies until you take away the devoted thing from among you.”

| قُمْ قَدِّسِ ٱلشَّعْبَ وَقُلْ: تَقَدَّسُوا لِلْغَدِ. لِأَنَّهُ هَكَذَا قَالَ ٱلرَّبُّ إِلَهُ إِسْرَائِيلَ: فِي وَسَطِكَ حَرَامٌ يَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، فَلَا تَتَمَكَّنُ لِلثُّبُوتِ أَمَامَ أَعْدَائِكَ حَتَّى تَنْزِعُوا ٱلْحَرَامَ مِنْ وَسَطِكُمْ. |
| قُمْ، وَاطْلُبْ مِنَ الشَّعْبِ أَنْ يَتَقَدَّسُوا لِيَوْمِ غَدٍ، لأَنَّهُ هَكَذَا قَالَ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُ إِسْرَائِيلَ: فِي وَسَطِكَ حَرَامٌ يَاإِسْرَائِيلُ، وَلَنْ تَتَمَكَّنُوا مِنْ هَزِيمَةِ أَعْدَائِكُمْ حَتَّى تَسْتَأْصِلُوا الْحَرَامَ مِنْ بَيْنِكُمْ. |
উঠা! লোকসকলক পবিত্ৰ কৰা আৰু তুমি তেওঁলোকক কোৱা, তোমালোকে কালিৰ কাৰণে নিজকে পবিত্ৰ কৰা। কিয়নো ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে, ‘হে ইস্ৰায়েল, তোমাৰ মাজত বৰ্জিত বস্তু আছে। তোমালোকৰ মাজৰ পৰা সেই বৰ্জিত বস্তু দূৰ নকৰালৈকে তুমি তোমাৰ শত্ৰুবোৰৰ আগত থিয় হ’ব নোৱাৰিবা’।

“Now go and tell this to the people: ‘Tomorrow you must [perform the rituals that will] cause yourselves to become acceptable to Yahweh again.
