The people of Nineveh believed God; and they proclaimed a fast and put on sackcloth, from their greatest even to their least.

তেতিয়া নীনবিৰ লোকসকলে ঈশ্বৰক বিশ্বাস কৰিলে আৰু তাৰ কাৰণে উপবাস ঘোষণা কৰিলে; ডাঙৰৰ পৰা সৰুলৈকে সকলোৱে চট্ কাপোৰ পিন্ধিলে।

तब नीनवे के मनुष्यों ने परमेश्वर के वचन पर विश्वास किया; और उपवास का प्रचार किया गया और बड़े से लेकर छोटे तक सभी ने टाट ओढ़ा।
नीनवेह के लोगों ने परमेश्वर में विश्वास किया. उपवास रखने की घोषणा की गई और साधारण से लेकर बड़े, सब लोगों ने टाट (शोक-वस्त्र) पहना.
