जहाज किनारले लावानं म्हणीन त्यासनी जहाजले किनारावर लई जावाना प्रयत्न करा. पण त्यासनाघाई ते व्हई नही राहींत. समुद्र बी त्यासनावर जास्तच खवळी राहिंता.

| وَلَكِنَّ الْبَحَّارَةَ شَرَعُوا يُجَذِّفُونَ لِيَرْجِعُوا إِلَى الشَّاطِئِ، فَأَخْفَقُوا لِتَفَاقُمِ هِيَاجِ الْبَحْرِ. |

তথাপিও নাবিকসকলে সমুদ্রৰ তীৰ পাবৰ বাবে পুণৰায় বৰকৈ বাই যাবলৈ ধৰিলে, কিন্তু তেওঁলোক সফল নহ’ল। প্রচণ্ড ধুমুহা আৰু উত্তাল সমুদ্রৰ ঢৌ অধিক শক্তিশালী হৈ উঠিব ধৰিলে।

তবুও সেই লোকেরা জাহাজ ফিরিয়ে ডাঙায় নিয়ে যাবার জন্য ঢেউ কাটতে চেষ্টা করল; কিন্তু পারল না, কারণ সমুদ্র তাদের বিপরীতে আরো ভয়াবহ হয়ে উঠছিল।
তা না করে সেই লোকেরা প্রাণপণ চেষ্টা করল, যেন তারা জাহাজটিকে ডাঙায় নিয়ে যেতে পারে। কিন্তু তারা পেরে উঠল না, বরং সমুদ্র আগের থেকেও বেশি বিক্ষুব্ধ হয়ে উঠল।

Und die Männer ruderten, daß sie wieder zum trockenen Land zurückkämen und vermochten es nicht; denn das Meer ward immer stürmischer über ihnen.

तो भी वे बड़े यत्न से खेते रहे कि उसको किनारे पर लगाएँ, परन्तु पहुँच न सके, क्योंकि समुद्र की लहरें उनके विरुद्ध बढ़ती ही जाती थीं।
फिर भी, नाविकों ने जहाज़ को तट तक ले जाने की बहुत कोशिश की. पर वे सफल न हुए, क्योंकि समुद्र पहले से और उग्र होता जा रहा था.

Tetapi para awak kapal masih berusaha sekuat tenaga untuk mendayung kapal itu ke daratan. Namun badai makin mengamuk juga, sehingga usaha mereka sia-sia belaka.
Lalu berdayunglah orang-orang itu dengan sekuat tenaga untuk membawa kapal itu kembali ke darat, tetapi mereka tidak sanggup, sebab laut semakin bergelora menyerang mereka.
