For the LORD of Armies said, “Cut down trees, and cast up a mound against Jerusalem. This is the city to be visited. She is filled with oppression within herself.

सेनाओं का यहोवा तुम से कहता है, “वृक्ष काट-काटकर यरूशलेम के विरुद्ध मोर्चा बाँधो! यह वही नगर है जो दण्ड के योग्य है; इसमें अंधेर ही अंधेर भरा हुआ है।
क्योंकि सेनाओं के याहवेह का यह आदेश है: “काट डालो उसके वृक्ष और येरूशलेम की घेराबंदी करो. आवश्यक है कि इस नगर को दंड दिया जाए; जिसके मध्य अत्याचार ही अत्याचार भरा है.

TUHAN Yang Mahakuasa telah memerintahkan penguasa-penguasa itu supaya menebang pohon-pohon dan mendirikan bukit-bukit pertahanan untuk mengepung Yerusalem. TUHAN berkata, "Kota ini akan Kuhukum karena di dalamnya telah dilakukan banyak sekali penindasan.
Sebab beginilah firman TUHAN semesta alam: "Tebanglah pohon-pohonnya dan timbunlah tanah menjadi tembok terhadap Yerusalem! Itulah kota yang harus dihukum! Hanya penindasan saja di dalamnya!
Perciocchè, così ha detto il Signor degli eserciti: Tagliate degli alberi, e fate degli argini contro a Gerusalemme; questa [è] la città, [che] ha da essere visitata; ella non [è] altro che oppressione dentro di sè.
