যিহূদী তিন চার পৃষ্ঠা পড়ার পর রাজা লেখকের ছুরি দিয়ে তা কেটে নিয়ে আগুনের পাত্রে ছুঁড়ে ফেললেন, যতক্ষণ না সম্পূর্ণ গুটানো কাগজটি ধ্বংস হল।
যিহূদী সেই পুঁথি থেকে তিন-চারটি স্তম্ভ পাঠ করলে, রাজা সচিবের ছুরি দিয়ে তা কেটে চুল্লির আগুনে নিক্ষেপ করলেন। এভাবে সমস্ত পুঁথিটিই আগুনে ভস্মীভূত হল।

જયારે યેહૂદીએ ત્રણચાર પાનાં વાંચ્યાં એટલે રાજાએ છરીથી તેટલો ભાગ કાપી લઈ સગડીમાં નાખ્યો. અને એમ આખું ઓળિયું સગડીમાં નાશ થઈ ગયું.
