وَمَا هَذَا إِلاَّ صُورَةٌ لِلْوَقْتِ الْحَاضِرِ الَّذِي فِيهِ مَازَالَتِ التَّقْدِمَاتُ وَالذَّبَائِحُ تُقَرَّبُ وَفْقاً لِنِظَامِ الْعَهْدِ الْعَتِيقِ. وَلكِنَّهَا لاَ تَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ تُطَهِّرَ ضَمَائِرَ الَّذِينَ يَتَقَرَّبُونَ بِهَا إِلَى اللهِ، وَلاَ أَنْ تُوصِلَهُمْ إِلَى الْكَمَالِ فَتُرِيحَ ضَمَائِرَهُمْ.

বর্তমানকালের জন্য এ এক দৃষ্টান্তস্বরূপ; এর তাৎপর্য হল, উৎসর্গীকৃত বলি-উপহার ও নৈবেদ্য কখনও উপাসনাকারীর বিবেক শুচিশুদ্ধ করতে সমর্থ হয়নি।

ⲐⲎ ⲈⲦⲦⲈⲚⲐⲰⲚⲦ ⲈⲠⲀⲒⲤⲎⲞⲨ ⲈⲦϢⲞⲠ ⲪⲎ ⲈϢⲀⲨⲈⲚ ⲆⲰⲢⲞⲚ ⲚⲈⲘ ϢⲞⲨϢⲰⲞⲨϢⲒ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ϨⲒⲰⲦϤ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ϢϪⲞⲘ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲤⲨⲚⲎⲆⲈⲤⲒⲤ ⲈϪⲈⲔ ⲠⲈⲦϢⲈⲘϢⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ.
