أَمَّا ابْنُ الْجَارِيَةِ، فَقَدْ وُلِدَ حَسَبَ الْجَسَدِ. وَأَمَّا ابْنُ الْحُرَّةِ، فَإِتْمَاماً لِلْوَعْدِ.
ܐܠܐ ܗܘ ܕܡܢ ܐܡܬܐ ܒܒܤܪ ܐܬܝܠܕ ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܕܡܢ ܚܐܪܬܐ ܒܡܘܠܟܢܐ ܗܘܐ
Բայց ա՛ն որ աղախինէն էր՝ մարմինին համեմատ ծնած էր, իսկ ա՛ն որ ազատ կնոջմէն էր՝ խոստումով:

ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲡⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲉⲛ ϩⲛ̅ⲧϩⲙ̅ϩⲁⲗ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲩϫⲡⲟϥ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲥⲁⲣⲝ̅. ⲡⲉϫⲡⲟ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲣⲙ̅ϩⲏ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲣⲏⲧ ⲡⲉ.
ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲠⲒⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲈⲚ ϦⲈⲚϮⲂⲰⲔⲒ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲘⲀⲤϤ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲤⲀⲢⲜ ⲠⲒⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲆⲈ ϦⲈⲚϮⲢⲈⲘϨⲎ ⲞⲨⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲈⲠⲀⲄⲄⲈⲖⲒⲀ ⲠⲈ.
Ali onaj od ropkinje rođen je po tijelu, a onaj od slobodne snagom obećanja.
