Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his offspring. He does not say, “To descendants”, as of many, but as of one, “To your offspring”, which is Christ.

وَقَدْ وُجِّهَتِ الْوُعُودُ لإِبْرَاهِيمَ وَنَسْلِهِ، وَلا يَقُولُ «وَلِلأَنْسَالِ» كَأَنَّهُ يُشِيرُ إِلَى كَثِيرِينَ، بَلْ يُشِيرُ إِلَى وَاحِدٍ، إِذْ يَقُولُ «وَلِنَسْلِكَ»، يَعْنِي الْمَسِيحَ.

ভাল, অব্রাহামের প্রতি ও তাঁর বংশের প্রতি প্রতিজ্ঞা সকল বলা হয়েছিল। তিনি বহুবচনে আর বংশ সবের প্রতি না বলে, একবচনে বলেন, “আর তোমার বংশের প্রতি,” সেই বংশ খ্রীষ্ট।

Artinya, dengan memberikan hukum Taurat, Allah tidak membatalkan atau mengubah janji yang sudah Dia sahkan dengan Abraham.
