أَيِ الْعِدَاءَ: إِذْ أَبْطَلَ بِجَسَدِهِ شَرِيعَةَ الْوَصَايَا ذَاتَ الْفَرَائِضِ، لِكَيْ يُكَوِّنَ مِنَ الْفَرِيقَيْنِ إِنْسَاناً وَاحِداً جَدِيداً، إِذْ أَحَلَّ السَّلاَمَ بَيْنَهُمَا،

այսինքն՝ հրամաններով եղած պատուիրաններուն Օրէնքը. որպէսզի իրմով այդ երկուքէն ստեղծէ նոր մարդ մը՝ այսպէս խաղաղութիւն ընելով,

শত্রুতাকে, নিয়মের আদেশ স্বরূপ ব্যবস্থাকে, নিজ দেহে লুপ্ত করেছেন; যেন উভয়কে নিজেতে একই নতুন মানুষরূপে সৃষ্টি করেন, এই ভাবে শান্তি আনেন;
বিধান ও তার নির্দেশমালা, নিয়ন্ত্রণবিধি, সব নিজের শরীরে বিলোপ করেই তা করেছেন। উভয়কে নিয়ে নিজের মধ্যে এক নতুন মানুষ গড়ে তোলা এবং এভাবে শান্তি প্রতিষ্ঠা করাই ছিল তাঁর উদ্দেশ্য।
