Ecclesiastes 8:10
So I saw the wicked buried. Indeed they came also from holiness. They went and were forgotten in the city where they did this. This also is vanity.

তাৰ পাছত মই দেখিলোঁ যে, কেনেকৈ দুষ্ট লোকক সন্মানেৰে মৈদাম দিয়া হৈছিল। এই দুষ্ট লোকসকলে পবিত্ৰ স্থানত অহা-যোৱা কৰিছিল; যি নগৰত তেওঁলোকে দুষ্টতাৰ কার্য কৰিছিল, সেই নগৰৰ লোকসকলে তেওঁলোকক প্রশংসা কৰিলে। ইও অসাৰ।

我见恶人埋葬，归入坟墓；又见行正直事的离开圣地，在城中被人忘记。这也是虚空。

Yes, I have seen wicked people buried with great honor. They used to go to the holy place, and were praised in the very city where they did their evil. This is hard to understand!
And likewise I sawe the wicked buried, and they returned, and they that came from the holy place, were yet forgotten in the citie where they had done right: this also is vanitie.
And so I saw the wicked buried, and they entered into their rest; but they that had done right went away from the holy place, and were forgotten in the city; this also is vanity.

And in such I have seen wicked [people] being buried and they came and from a place of holy they went and they may be forgotten in the city where right they had done also this [is] futility.

I also saw that [sometimes] after evil [people] die, they are highly honored at their funerals by the people in the cities where they had done [evil] deeds. It seemed to be difficult to understand why that happens.
So I saw the wicked buried publicly. They were taken from the holy area and buried and were praised by people in the city where they had done their wicked deeds. This also is uselessness.

Et c’est ainsi que j’ai vu des méchants escortés à leur tombe, tandis que disparaissaient des lieux saints et étaient vite oubliés dans la ville ceux qui avaient bien agi: vanité encore!

Dabei habe ich auch gesehen, daß Gottlose begraben wurden und zur Ruhe eingingen, während Leute, die rechtschaffen gelebt hatten, von der heiligen Stätte wegziehen mußten und in der Stadt in Vergessenheit gerieten; auch das ist nichtig.
Ich sah auch, wie Gottlose begraben wurden und [zur Ruhe] eingingen, während solche, die ordentlich gelebt hatten, den heiligen Ort verlassen mußten und vergessen wurden in der Stadt; auch das ist eitel!

તેથી મેં દુષ્ટોને દફ્નાવેલા જોયા અને ન્યાયીઓને પવિત્રસ્થાનમાંથી લઈ લેવામાં આવ્યા. અને જ્યાં તેમણે દુષ્ટ કામ કર્યા હતાં ત્યાં દફનાવવામાં આવ્યા. લોકોએ નગરમાં તેમને માન આપ્યું. તેનું સ્મરણ નષ્ટ થયું આ પણ વ્યર્થતા છે.

फिर मैंने दुष्टों को गाड़े जाते देखा, जो पवित्रस्थान में आया-जाया करते थे और जिस नगर में वे ऐसा करते थे वहाँ उनका स्मरण भी न रहा; यह भी व्यर्थ ही है।
सो मैंने दुष्टों को गाड़े जाते देखा. वे पवित्र स्थान में आते जाते थे. किंतु जहां वे ऐसा करते थे जल्द ही उस नगर ने उन्हें भुला दिया. यह भी बेकार ही है.
És azután láttam, hogy a gonoszok eltemettettek és nyugalomra mentek; viszont a szent helyről kimentek, és elfelejttettek a városban olyanok, a kik becsületesen cselekedtek. Ez is hiábavalóság!
