Deuteronomy 17:20
that his heart not be lifted up above his brothers, and that he not turn away from the commandment to the right hand, or to the left, to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he and his children, in the middle of Israel.

| لِئَلاَّ يَتَكَبَّرَ عَلَى إِخْوَتِهِ وَيَحِيدَ عَنِ الْوَصِيَّةِ يَمِيناً أَوْ شِمَالاً. فَإِنْ فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ فَإِنَّهُ وَذُرِّيَّتَهُ يَمْلِكُونَ طَوِيلاً فِي وَسَطِ إِسْرَائِيلَ. |
এই কাৰণে নিজ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাক ভয় কৰিবলৈ শিকি, এই ব্যৱস্থাৰ সকলো বাক্য, আৰু বিধিবোৰ পালন কৰি সেই মতে কাৰ্য কৰিবৰ অৰ্থে, সেই পুস্তকখনি তেওঁৰ ওচৰত থাকিব, আৰু তেওঁ জীৱনৰ সকলো সময়ত তাক পাঠ কৰিব।

তিনি এইগুলি করবেন যেন নিজের ভাইদের ওপরে তার হৃদয় উদ্ধত না হয় এবং সে আদেশের ডান দিকে কি বাম দিকে না ফেরে; এই ভাবে যেন ইস্রায়েলের মধ্যে তার ও তার সন্তানদের রাজত্ব দীর্ঘ দিন থাকে।
এবং নিজেকে অন্যান্য ইস্রায়েলী ভাইদের থেকে ভালো মনে না করে আর সেই বিধানের ডানদিকে বা বাঁদিকে সরে না যায়। তাহলে সে এবং তার বংশধরেরা ইস্রায়েলের উপরে বহুদিন রাজত্ব করতে পারবে।

免得他向弟兄心高气傲，偏左偏右，离了这诫命。这样，他和他的子孙便可在以色列中，在国位上年长日久。”

Dat zijn hart zich niet verheffe boven zijn broederen, en dat hij niet afwijke van het gebod, ter rechter- of ter linkerhand; opdat hij de dagen verlenge in zijn koninkrijk, hij en zijn zonen, in het midden van Israel.

Niin ettei hän korottaisi sydäntänsä veljeinsä ylitse, eikä myös käskyistä vilpistelisi, oikialle eikä vasemmalle puolelle, että hän päivänsä pitentäisi valtakunnassansa, hän ja hänen poikansa Israelissa.

ἵνα μὴ ὑψωθῇ ἡ καρδία αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτοῦ ἵνα μὴ παραβῇ ἀπὸ τῶν ἐντολῶν δεξιὰ ἢ ἀριστερά ὅπως ἂν μακροχρονίσῃ ἐπὶ τῆς ἀρχῆς αὐτοῦ αὐτὸς καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ
એ માટે કે તેનું હૃદય તેના ભાઈઓ પ્રત્યે ગર્વિષ્ઠ ન થઈ જાય. તથા આ આજ્ઞાઓથી તે વિમુખ થઈ ન જાય. એ સારુ કે ઇઝરાયલ મધ્યે તેના રાજ્યમાં તેનું તથા તેના સંતાનોનું આયુષ્ય વધે.
