Daniel 5:23
but have lifted up yourself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before you, and you and your lords, your wives, and your concubines, have drunk wine from them. You have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see, or hear, or know; and you have not glorified the God in whose hand your breath is, and whose are all your ways.

| بَلْ تَعَظَّمْتَ عَلَى رَبِّ ٱلسَّمَاءِ، فَأَحْضَرُوا قُدَّامَكَ آنِيَةَ بَيْتِهِ، وَأَنْتَ وَعُظَمَاؤُكَ وَزَوْجَاتُكَ وَسَرَارِيكَ شَرِبْتُمْ بِهَا ٱلْخَمْرَ، وَسَبَّحْتَ آلِهَةَ ٱلْفِضَّةِ وَٱلذَّهَبِ وَٱلنِّحَاسِ وَٱلْحَدِيدِ وَٱلْخَشَبِ وَٱلْحَجَرِ ٱلَّتِي لَا تُبْصِرُ وَلَا تَسْمَعُ وَلَا تَعْرِفُ. أَمَّا ٱللهُ ٱلَّذِي بِيَدِهِ نَسَمَتُكَ، وَلَهُ كُلُّ طُرُقِكَ فَلَمْ تُمَجِّدْهُ. |
| بَلْ تَغَطْرَسْتَ عَلَى رَبِّ السَّمَاءِ، فَأَحْضَرُوا أَمَامَكَ آنِيَةَ هَيْكَلِهِ لِتَشْرَبَ بِهَا الْخَمْرَ، أَنْتَ وَنُبَلاَءُ دَوْلَتِكَ وَزَوْجَاتُكَ وَمَحْظِيَّاتُكَ، وَسَبَّحْتَ آلِهَةَ الْفِضَّةِ وَالذَّهَبِ وَالنُّحَاسِ وَالْحَدِيدِ وَالْخَشَبِ وَالْحَجَرِ الَّتِي لاَ تُبْصِرُ وَلاَ تَسْمَعُ وَلاَ تُدْرِكُ، أَمَّا اللهُ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ رُوحُكَ وَلَهُ كُلُّ طُرُقِكَ، فَلَمْ تُمَجِّدْهُ. |
স্বৰ্গৰ প্ৰভুৰ বিৰুদ্ধে আপুনি নিজকে উচ্চ কৰিলে, আৰু তেওঁৰ গৃহৰ পৰা পাত্রবোৰ তেওঁলোকে আপোনাৰ আগত আনিলে, আৰু আপুনি আৰু আপোনাৰ প্ৰধান লোকসকল, আপোনাৰ পত্নী আৰু উপপত্নীসকলে সেইবোৰত দ্ৰাক্ষাৰস পান কৰিলে। যিবোৰে নেদেখে, নুশুনে, আৰু একোকে নাজানে, তেনে ৰূপ, সোণ, পিতল, লোহা, কাঠ, আৰু শিলৰ দেৱতাবোৰক আপুনি প্ৰশংসা কৰিলে। আপোনাৰ নিশ্বাস যি জনাৰ হাতত আছে, আৰু আপোনাৰ সকলো পথ যি জনে জানে, সেই ঈশ্বৰক আপুনি সমাদৰ নকৰিলে।

কিন্তু আপনি নিজেকে স্বর্গের প্রভুর বিরুদ্ধে উঁচু করেছেন। তাঁর গৃহ থেকে তারা সেই পাত্রগুলো আপনার কাছে নিয়ে এসেছিল এবং আপনি, আপনার মহান লোকেরা, আপনার স্ত্রীরা ও উপপত্নীরা তাতে করে আঙ্গুর রস পান করেছিলেন এবং আপনি রূপা, সোনা, ব্রোঞ্জ, লোহা, কাঠ ও পাথরের তৈরী যে দেবতারা দেখতে, শুনতে ও বুঝতে পারে না তাদের প্রশংসা করেছেন। কিন্তু আপনি সেই ঈশ্বরের সম্মান করেন নি, যিনি তাঁর হাতের মধ্যে আপনার শ্বাসবায়ু ধরে রেখেছেন এবং যিনি আপনার সমস্ত পথ জানেন।
বরং আপনি স্বর্গের ঈশ্বরের বিরুদ্ধে নিজেকে তুলে ধরেছেন। ঈশ্বরের মন্দির থেকে আনা পবিত্র পাত্রগুলিতে আপনি, আপনার বিশিষ্ট ব্যক্তিগণ, আপনার পত্নীগণ ও উপপত্নীগণ দ্রাক্ষারস পান করেছেন। রুপো, সোনা, পিতল, লোহা, কাঠ ও পাথরের দেবতাদের, যারা দেখতে, শুনতে বা বুঝতে পারে না, আপনি তাদের আরাধনা করছেন। কিন্তু আপনি সেই ঈশ্বরের আরাধনা করেননি যিনি আপনাকে জীবন দেন এবং আপনার নিয়তি নিয়ন্ত্রণ করেন!

竟向天上的主自高，使人将他殿中的器皿拿到你面前，你和大臣、皇后、妃嫔用这器皿饮酒。你又赞美那不能看、不能听、无知无识、金、银、铜、铁、木、石所造的神，却没有将荣耀归与那手中有你气息，管理你一切行动的 神。
竟向天上的主自高，使人將他殿中的器皿拿到你面前，你和大臣、皇后、妃嬪用這器皿飲酒。你又讚美那不能看、不能聽、無知無識、金、銀、銅、鐵、木、石所造的神，卻沒有將榮耀歸與那手中有你氣息，管理你一切行動的上帝。
反而自高自大，抵抗上天的大主，命人將他殿宇的器皿給你拿來，供你和你的大臣並你的妻妾用來飲酒，並且你讚美那些不能看，不能聽，不能知的金、銀、銅、鐵、木、石製的神像，卻不知尊崇那掌握你的氣息，註定你一切命途的天主。

Nadto bohy stříbrné a zlaté, měděné, železné, dřevěné a kamenné, kteříž nevidí, ani slyší, aniž co vědí, chválil jsi, Boha pak, v jehož ruce jest dýchání tvé i všecky cesty tvé, neoslavoval jsi.

The vessels from His house were brought to you, and as you drank wine from them with your nobles, wives, and concubines, you praised your gods of silver and gold, bronze and iron, wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or understand. But you have failed to glorify the God who holds in His hand your very breath and all your ways.
But you have been lifting yourself up against the Lord of heaven, and they have put the vessels of his house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your women, have taken wine in them; and you have given praise to gods of silver and gold, of brass and iron and wood and stone, who are without the power of seeing or hearing, and without knowledge: and to the God in whose hand your breath is, and whose are all your ways, you have not given glory;
And thou hast been exalted against the Lord God of heaven; and they have brought before thee the vessels of his house, and thou, and thy nobles, and thy mistresses, and thy concubines, have drunk wine out of them; and thou hast praised the gods of gold, and silver, and brass, and iron, and wood, and stone, which see not, and which hear not, and know not: and the God in whose hand are thy breath and all thy ways hast thou not glorified.
And you has been exalted against the Lord God of heaven; and they have brought before you the vessels of his house, and you, and your nobles, and your mistresses, and your concubines, have drunk wine out of them; and you has praised the gods of gold, and silver, and brass, and iron, and wood, and stone, which see not, and which hear not, and know not: and the God in whose hand are your breath, and all your ways has you not glorified.

But hast lifted thyself up against the Lord of heaven: and the vessels of his house have been brought before thee: and thou, and thy nobles, and thy wives, and thy concubines have drunk wine in them: and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and of gold, and of brass, of iron, and of wood, and of stone, that neither see, nor hear, nor feel: but the God who hath thy breath in his hand, and all thy ways, thou hast not glorified.
You have arrogantly defied the Lord of heaven and you had the cups and bowls of his Temple brought to you. You and your nobles, your wives and concubines, drank wine from them as you praised gods made of silver, gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone that can't see or hear or know anything. But you have not honored God who holds in his hand your very breath and everything you do.
But hast lift thy selfe vp against the Lord of heauen, and they haue brought the vessels of his House before thee, and thou and thy princes, thy wiues and thy concubines haue drunke wine in them, and thou hast praysed the gods of siluer and golde, of brasse, yron, wood and stone, which neither see, neither heare, nor vnderstand: and the God in whose hand thy breath is and all thy wayes, him hast thou not glorified.
but hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of His house before thee, and thou and thy lords, thy consorts and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know; and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified;

But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:

But against the Lord of heaven hast thou lifted thyself up; and the vessels of his house have they brought before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine from them; and the gods of silver, and gold, of copper, iron, wood, and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor know, hast thou praised; and the God in whose hand thy soul is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:
and against the Lord of the heavens you have lifted up yourself; and the vessels of His house they have brought in before you, and you, and your great men, your wives, and your concubines, are drinking wine with them, and gods of silver, and of gold, of bronze, of iron, of wood, and of stone, that are not seeing, nor hearing, nor knowing, you have praised: and the God in whose hand [is] your breath, and all your ways, Him you have not honored.
but have lifted up yourself against the Lord of heaven. Vua không chịu tôn vinh Đức Chúa Trời là Đấng cầm trong tay Ngài hơi thở và các đường lối vua!
