তিনি তাঁদের অনুরোধ করলেন যেন তাঁরা সেই গুপ্ত বিষয় জানার জন্য স্বর্গের ঈশ্বরের কাছে দয়া চান, যেন তিনি ও তাঁর বন্ধুরা সেই সমস্ত লোক যারা তাঁদের জ্ঞানের জন্য পরিচিত ছিল তাদের সঙ্গে মারা না যান।

इस भेद के विषय में स्वर्ग के परमेश्वर की दया के लिये यह कहकर प्रार्थना करो, कि बाबेल के और सब पंडितों के संग दानिय्येल और उसके संगी भी नाश न किए जाएँ।
उसने उनको उत्साहित किया कि वे स्वर्ग के परमेश्वर से इस रहस्य के बारे में कृपा करने की बिनती करें, ताकि वह और उसके मित्र बाबेल के बाकी बुद्धिमान लोगों के साथ न मार डाले जाएं.
