Amos 4:11
“I have overthrown some of you, as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and you were like a burning stick plucked out of the fire; yet you have not returned to me,” says the LORD.

| دَمَّرْتُ بَعْضَ مُدُنِكُمْ كَمَا دَمَّرَ اللهُ سَدُومَ وَعَمُورَةَ، فَكَانَ مَنْ نَجَا مِنْكُمْ كَشُعْلَةٍ مُنْتَشَلَةٍ مِنَ النَّارِ. وَلَكِنَّكُمْ لَمْ تَرْجِعُوا إِلَيَّ تَائِبِينَ. |
মই, তোমালোকৰ ঈশ্বৰে চদোম আৰু ঘমোৰাক যেনেকৈ ধ্বংস কৰিছিলোঁ, তোমালোককো সেইদৰে ধ্বংস কৰিলোঁ। তোমালোক জুইৰ পৰা উলিয়াই অনা আধা পোৰা কাঠৰ নিচিনা থ’লো, তথাপিও তোমালোকে মোলৈ ঘূৰা নাই।” যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে।

“ઈશ્વરે સદોમ અને ગમોરાની પાયમાલી કરી, તેમ મેં તમારા કેટલાક પર ત્રાસદાયક આફતો મોકલી. તમે બળતામાંથી ખેંચી કાઢેલા ખોયણાના જેવા હતા, તેમ છતાં તમે મારી પાસે પાછા આવ્યા નહિ” એવું યહોવાહ કહે છે.
