Then Ahimaaz the son of Zadok said yet again to Joab, “But come what may, please let me also run after the Cushite.” Joab said, “Why do you want to run, my son, since you will have no reward for the news?”

| وَأَلَحَّ أَخِيمَعَصُ بْنُ صَادُوقَ عَلَى يُوآبَ قَائِلاً: «مَهْمَا حَدَثَ، دَعْنِي أَجْرِي وَرَاءَ الْكُوشِيِّ أَيْضاً». فَقَاَل يُوآبُ: «لِمَاذَا تَجْرِي أَنْتَ يَاابْني، وَلَسْتَ تَحْمِلُ بِشَارَةً تُكَافَأُ عَلَيْهَا؟» |
তেতিয়া চাদোকৰ পুত্ৰ অহীমাচে আকৌ যোৱাবক ক’লে, “যি হওঁক, অনুগ্ৰহ কৰি কুচীয়াৰ পাছত মোকো লৰি যাবলৈ দিয়ক।” তাতে যোৱাবে ক’লে, “বোপা তুমি কিয় লৰি যোৱা? তুমি বাতৰিৰ একো বঁটা নাপাবা।”

Тогава Ахимаас, Садоковият син, рече пак на Иоава: Но каквото и да стане, нека тичам и аз, моля след Хусина. А Иоав му рече: Защо искаш да тичаш, синко, като не ще имаш възнаграждение за известията?

Then Ahimaaz, the son of Zadok, said to Joab again, Whatever may come of it, let me go after the Cushite. And Joab said, Why have you a desire to go, my son, seeing that you will get no reward for your news?

Nang magkagayo'y nagsabi pa uli si Ahimaas na anak ni Sadoc kay Joab, Nguni't sa anomang kahinatnan, isinasamo ko sa iyo, na ako naman ay iyong patakbuhin na kasunod ng Cusita. At sinabi ni Joab, Bakit tatakbo ka, anak ko, dangang wala kang mapapala ng dahil sa balita?
Pagkatapos sinabing muli ni Ahimaaz anak na lalaki ni Zadok kay Joab, “Kahit anuman ang mangyari, pakiusap pahintulutan mo rin akong tumakbo at sundan ang Cusita.” Sumagot si Joab, “Bakit gusto mong tumakbo, anak ko, nakikitang wala kang gantimpala para sa balita?”
