So Joab came to the king and told him; and when he had called for Absalom, he came to the king and bowed himself on his face to the ground before the king; and the king kissed Absalom.

পরে যোয়াব রাজার কাছে গিয়ে তাঁকে সেই কথা জানালে রাজা অবশালোমকে ডেকে পাঠালেন, তাতে সে রাজার কাছে গিয়ে রাজার সামনে উপুড় হয়ে মাটিতে পড়ে প্রণাম করল, আর রাজা অবশালোমকে চুমু দিলেন৷
তাই যোয়াব রাজার কাছে গিয়ে তাঁকে সেকথা বললেন। তখন রাজামশাই অবশালোমকে ডেকে পাঠালেন, ও সে এসে রাজার সামনে মাটিতে উবুড় হয়ে পড়েছিল। রাজামশাই তাকে চুম্বন করলেন।
