They went after them to the Jordan; and behold, all the path was full of garments and equipment which the Syrians had cast away in their haste. The messengers returned and told the king.

| فَاقْتَفَوْا أَثَرَهُمْ إِلَى نَهْرِ الأُرْدُنِّ، وَإِذَا كُلُّ الطَّرِيقِ مَمْلُوءَةٌ ثِيَاباً وَأَمْتِعَةً مِمَّا طَرَحَهَا الآرَامِيُّونَعِنْدَ فِرَارِهِمِ الْمُفَاجِئِ السَّرِيعِ. فَرَجَعَ الرُّسُلُ وَأَخْبَرُوا الْمَلِكَ. |

તેઓ યર્દન સુધી તેઓની પાછળ ગયા, તો જુઓ આખો માર્ગ અરામીઓએ ઉતાવળમાં ફેંકી દીધેલાં તેઓનાં વસ્ત્રો અને પાત્રોથી ભરાઈ ગયેલો હતો. તેથી સંદેશાવાહકોએ પાછા આવીને રાજાને તે વિષે ખબર આપી.
