For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that in holiness and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we behaved ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you.

فَإِنَّ فَخْرَنَا هُوَ هَذَا: شَهَادَةُ ضَمِيرِنَا بِأَنَّنَا، فِي قَدَاسَةِ اللهِ وَإِخْلاَصِهِ، قَدْ سَلَكْنَا فِي الْعَالَمِ، وَبِخَاصَّةٍ تُجَاهَكُمْ؛ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ ذَلِكَ بِحِكْمَةٍ بَشَرِيَّةٍ بَلْ بِنِعْمَةِ اللهِ.

Արդարեւ սա՛ է մեր պարծանքը՝ մեր խղճմտանքին վկայութիւնը, թէ մենք՝ պարզամտութեամբ եւ Աստուծոյ անկեղծութեամբ, ո՛չ թէ մարմնաւոր իմաստութեամբ՝ հապա Աստուծոյ շնորհքով վարուեցանք աշխարհի մէջ, եւ ա՛լ աւելի ձեզի հանդէպ:

Јер је наша слава ово: сведочанство савести наше да смо у простоти и чистоти Божјој, а не у мудрости телесној него по благодати Божјој живели на свету, а особито међу вама.
