For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—isn’t the Father’s, but is the world’s.

لأَنَّ كُلَّ مَا فِي الْعَالَمِ، مِنْ شَهَوَاتِ الْجَسَدِ وَشَهَوَاتِ الْعَيْنِ وَتَرَفِ الْمَعِيشَةِ، لَيْسَ مِنَ الآبِ، بَلْ مِنَ الْعَالَمِ.

Եթէ մէկը կը սիրէ աշխարհը, Հօրը սէրը չկայ իր մէջ. որովհետեւ ամէն ինչ որ աշխարհի մէջ է՝ մարմինի ցանկութիւնը, աչքերու ցանկութիւնը եւ այս կեանքին ամբարտաւանութիւնը՝ Հօրմէն չէ, հապա այս աշխարհէն է:
কিয়নো জগতত যিবোৰ আছে, অৰ্থাৎ মাংসৰ অভিলাষ, চকুৰ অভিলাষ, আৰু জীৱন কালৰ অহংকাৰ, এইবোৰ পিতৃ ঈশ্বৰৰ পৰা উৎপন্ন নহয়, জগতৰ পৰাহে হয়।

কারণ জগতে যা কিছু আছে তা হলো মাংসিক কামনা বাসনা, চক্ষুর কামনা বাসনা, ও প্রাণের অহঙ্কার আর এ সব পিতার থেকে নয় কিন্তু জগত থেকে হয়েছে।

Jer što je god svjetovno - požuda tijela, i požuda očiju, i oholost života - nije od Oca, nego od svijeta.

Keep in mind that all [the evil human desires] in the world [are actions/things such as these]: [People] desire to do [what] their self-directed nature [strongly desires]. [People] desire [to possess] whatever (appeals to their senses/they see or hear about). [People] boast about the material things that they possess. [Such evil ways of living] do not originate/come from the Father! Instead they originate/come from [the (godless people in] the world/people in the world who conduct their lives in a manner that displeases God) [MTY]!

કેમ કે જગતમાં જે સર્વ છે, એટલે દૈહિક વાસનાઓ, આંખોની લાલસા તથા જીવનનો અહંકાર તે પિતાથી નથી, પણ જગતથી છે.

כי כל אשר בחלד תאות הבשר ותאות העינים וגאות ההון איננו מן אבינו כי אם מן החלד׃
क्योंकि जो कुछ संसार में है, अर्थात् शरीर की अभिलाषा, और आँखों की अभिलाषा और जीविका का घमण्ड, वह पिता की ओर से नहीं, परन्तु संसार ही की ओर से है।

ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಶರೀರದಾಶೆ, ಕಣ್ಣಿನಾಶೆ, ಬದುಕುಬಾಳಿನ ಗರ್ವ, ಇವು ತಂದೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟವುಗಳಲ್ಲ. ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟವುಗಳಾಗಿವೆ.
