For if a man sees you who have knowledge sitting in an idol’s temple, will not his conscience, if he is weak, be emboldened to eat things sacrificed to idols?

فَيَاصَاحِبَ الْمَعْرِفَةِ، إِنْ رَآكَ أَحَدٌ جَالِساً إِلَى الطَّعَامِ فِي هَيْكَلٍ لِلأَصْنَامِ، أَفَلاَ يَتَقَوَّى ضَمِيرُهُ، هُوَ الضَّعِيفُ، لِيَأْكُلَ مِنْ ذَبَائِحِ الأَصْنَامِ،
ܐܢ ܐܢܫ ܓܝܪ ܢܚܙܝܟ ܠܟ ܕܐܝܬ ܒܟ ܝܕܥܬܐ ܕܤܡܝܟ ܐܢܬ ܒܝܬ ܦܬܟܪܐ ܠܐ ܗܐ ܬܐܪܬܗ ܡܛܠ ܕܟܪܝܗ ܗܘ ܡܫܬܪܪܐ ܠܡܐܟܠ ܕܕܒܝܚܐ
Քանի որ եթէ մէկը տեսնէ քեզ՝ որ գիտութիւն ունիս, սեղան նստած՝՝ կռատունի մէջ, այդ տկար եղողին խղճմտանքը պիտի չխրախուսուի՞ ուտել այն բաները՝ որ կուռքերուն զոհուած են.

কারণ, তোমার তো জ্ঞান আছে, তোমাকে যদি কেউ দেবতার মন্দিরে ভোজনে বসতে দেখে, তবে সে দুর্বল লোক বলে তার বিবেক কি প্রতিমার কাছে উৎসর্গ করা বলি ভোজন করতে সাহস পাবে না?
কারণ দুর্বল বিবেকবিশিষ্ট যদি কেউ তোমাকে, অর্থাৎ তোমার মতো জ্ঞানবিশিষ্ট মানুষকে, প্রতিমার মন্দিরে খাবার গ্রহণ করতে দেখে, তাহলে সে কি প্রতিমাদের কাছে উৎসর্গ করা খাবার গ্রহণ করতে সাহস পাবে না?

若有人见你这有知识的,在偶像的庙里坐席,这人的良心若是软弱,岂不放胆去吃那祭偶像之物吗?

ಯತೋ ಜ್ಞಾನವಿಶಿಷ್ಟಸ್ತ್ವಂ ಯದಿ ದೇವಾಲಯೇ ಉಪವಿಷ್ಟಃ ಕೇನಾಪಿ ದೃಶ್ಯಸೇ ತರ್ಹಿ ತಸ್ಯ ದುರ್ಬ್ಬಲಸ್ಯ ಮನಸಿ ಕಿಂ ಪ್ರಸಾದಭಕ್ಷಣ ಉತ್ಸಾಹೋ ನ ಜನಿಷ್ಯತೇ?
