< Luke 8 >

1 Ó sì ṣe lẹ́yìn náà, tí ó ń lá gbogbo ìlú àti ìletò kọjá lọ, ó ń wàásù, ó ń ròyìn ayọ̀ ìjọba Ọlọ́run. Àwọn méjìlá sì ń bẹ lọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀,
It happened soon afterwards, that he went about through cities and villages, proclaiming and bringing the good news of the Kingdom of God. With him were the twelve,
2 àti àwọn obìnrin kan, tí a ti mú láradá kúrò lọ́wọ́ àwọn ẹ̀mí búburú àti nínú àìlera wọn, Maria tí a ń pè ní Magdalene, lára ẹni tí ẹ̀mí èṣù méje ti jáde kúrò.
and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Maryam who was called Magdalitha, from whom seven demons had gone out;
3 Àti Joanna aya Kusa tí í ṣe ìríjú Herodu, àti Susana, àti àwọn púpọ̀ mìíràn, tí wọ́n ń ṣe ìránṣẹ́ fún un nínú ohun ìní wọn.
and Yokhan, the wife of Kuza, Herod' steward; Shushan; and many others; who provided for them from their possessions.
4 Nígbà tí ọ̀pọ̀ ìjọ ènìyàn péjọpọ̀, àwọn ènìyàn láti ìlú gbogbo sì tọ̀ ọ́ wá, ó fi òwe bá wọn sọ̀rọ̀ pé,
When a large crowd came together, and people from every city were coming to him, he spoke by a parable.
5 “Afúnrúgbìn kan jáde lọ láti fún irúgbìn rẹ̀: bí ó sì ti ń fúnrúgbìn, díẹ̀ bọ́ sí ẹ̀bá ọ̀nà, a sì tẹ̀ ẹ́ mọ́lẹ̀, àwọn ẹyẹ ojú ọ̀run sì ṣà á jẹ.
"The farmer went out to sow his seed. As he sowed, some fell along the road, and it was trampled under foot, and the birds of the sky devoured it.
6 Òmíràn sì bọ́ sórí àpáta; bí ó sì ti hù jáde, ó gbẹ nítorí tí kò ní omi.
Other seed fell on the rock, and as soon as it grew, it withered away, because it had no moisture.
7 Òmíràn sì bọ́ sínú ẹ̀gún; ẹ̀gún sì dàgbà pẹ̀lú rẹ̀ sókè, ó sì fún un pa.
Other fell amid the thorns, and the thorns grew with it, and choked it.
8 Òmíràn sì bọ́ sí ilẹ̀ rere, ó sì hù sókè, ó sì so èso ọ̀rọ̀ọ̀rún ju èyí ti a gbin lọ.” Nígbà tí ó sì wí nǹkan wọ̀nyí tán, ó pariwo sókè pé, “Ẹni tí ó bá ní etí láti fi gbọ́, kí ó gbọ́!”
Other fell into the good ground, and grew, and brought forth fruit one hundred times." As he said these things, he called out, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."
9 Àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ sì bi í léèrè, pé, “Kí ni a lè mọ òwe yìí sí?”
Then his disciples asked him, "What does this parable mean?"
10 Ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Ẹ̀yin ni a fi fún láti mọ ohun ìjìnlẹ̀ ìjọba Ọlọ́run; ṣùgbọ́n fún àwọn ẹlòmíràn wọn yóò jẹ́ òwe, pé ní rí rí, “‘kí wọn má ba à rí, àti ní gbígbọ́ kí ó má lè yé wọn.’
He said, "To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of God, but to the rest in parables; that 'seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.'
11 “Ǹjẹ́ òwe náà ni èyí: irúgbìn ni ọ̀rọ̀ Ọlọ́run.
Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
12 Àwọn ti ẹ̀bá ọ̀nà ni àwọn tí ó gbọ́ nígbà náà ni èṣù wá ó sì mú ọ̀rọ̀ náà kúrò ní ọkàn wọn, kí wọn má ba à gbàgbọ́, kí a sì gbà wọ́n là.
Those along the road are those who hear, then the devil comes, and takes away the word from their heart, that they may not believe and be saved.
13 Àwọn ti orí àpáta ni àwọn, tí wọ́n gbọ́, wọ́n fi ayọ̀ gba ọ̀rọ̀ náà, àwọn wọ̀nyí kò sì ní gbòǹgbò, wọ́n á gbàgbọ́ fún sá à díẹ̀; nígbà ìdánwò, wọn á padà sẹ́yìn.
Those on the rock are they who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; but these have no root, who believe for a while, then fall away in time of temptation.
14 Àwọn tí ó bọ́ sínú ẹ̀gún ni àwọn, tí wọ́n gbọ́ tán, wọ́n ti n lọ, wọn a sì fi ìtọ́jú àti ọrọ̀ àti ìrora ayé fún un pa, wọn kò sì lè so èso àsogbó.
That which fell among the thorns, these are those who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity.
15 Ṣùgbọ́n ti ilẹ̀ rere ni àwọn tí wọ́n fi ọkàn òtítọ́ àti rere gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ náà, wọ́n dìímú ṣinṣin, wọ́n sì fi sùúrù so èso.
That in the good ground, these are such as in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, hold it tightly, and bring forth fruit with patience.
16 “Kò sí ẹnikẹ́ni, nígbà tí ó bá tán fìtílà tan, tí yóò fi ohun èlò bò ó mọ́lẹ̀, tàbí tí yóò gbé e sábẹ́ àkéte; bí kò ṣe kí ó gbé e ka orí ọ̀pá fìtílà, kí àwọn tí ń wọ ilé lè rí ìmọ́lẹ̀.
"No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a container, or puts it under a bed; but puts it on a stand, that those who enter in may see the light.
17 Nítorí kò sí ohun tí ó fi ara sin, tí a kì yóò fihàn, tàbí ohun tí a fi pamọ́, ti a kì yóò sì mọ̀ kí ó sì yọ sí gbangba.
For nothing is hidden, that will not be revealed; nor anything secret, that will not be known and come to light.
18 Ǹjẹ́ kí ẹ̀yin máa kíyèsára bí ẹ̀yin ti ń gbọ́: nítorí ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá ní, lọ́wọ́ rẹ̀ ni a ó sì gba èyí tí ó ṣe bí òun ní.”
So consider carefully how you listen. For whoever has, to him will be given; and whoever does not have, from him will be taken away even that which he thinks he has."
19 Nígbà náà ní ìyá rẹ̀ àti àwọn arákùnrin rẹ̀ tọ̀ ọ́ wá, wọn kò sì lè súnmọ́ ọn nítorí ọ̀pọ̀ ènìyàn.
His mother and brothers came to him, and they could not come near him for the crowd.
20 Wọ́n sì wí fún un pé, “Ìyá rẹ àti àwọn arákùnrin rẹ dúró lóde, wọn fẹ́ rí ọ.”
It was told him by some saying, "Your mother and your brothers stand outside, desiring to see you."
21 Ó sì dáhùn wí fún wọn pé, “Ìyá mi àti àwọn arákùnrin mi ni àwọn wọ̀nyí tí wọ́n ń gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ Ọlọ́run, tí wọ́n sì ń ṣe é.”
But he answered them, "My mother and my brothers are these who hear the word of God, and do it."
22 Ní ọjọ́ kan, ó sì wọ ọkọ̀ ojú omi kan lọ òun pẹ̀lú àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀. O sì wí fún wọn pé, “Ẹ jẹ́ kí a rékọjá lọ sí ìhà kejì adágún.” Wọ́n sì ṣíkọ̀ láti lọ.
Now it happened on one of those days, that he entered into a boat, himself and his disciples, and he said to them, "Let us go over to the other side of the lake." So they launched out.
23 Bí wọ́n sì ti ń lọ, ó sùn; ìjì ńlá sì dé, ó ń fẹ́ lójú adágún; omi si wọ inú ọkọ, wọ́n sì wà nínú ewu.
But as they sailed, he fell asleep. A wind storm came down on the lake, and they were taking on dangerous amounts of water.
24 Wọ́n sì tọ̀ ọ́ wá wọ́n sì jí i, wí pé, “Olùkọ́, Olùkọ́, àwa yóò ṣègbé!” Nígbà náà ni ó dìde, ó sì bá ìjì líle àti ríru omi wí; wọ́n sì dúró, ìdákẹ́rọ́rọ́ sì dé.
So they came to him, and awoke him, saying, "Master, master, we are dying." And he awoke, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water, and they ceased, and it was calm.
25 Ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Ìgbàgbọ́ yín dà?” Bí ẹ̀rù ti ń ba gbogbo wọn, tí hà sì ń ṣe wọ́n, wọ́n ń bi ara wọn pé, “Irú ọkùnrin wo ni èyí, nítorí ó bá ìjì líle àti ríru omi wí, wọ́n sì gbọ́ tirẹ̀?”
He said to them, "Where is your faith?" But they were terrified and astonished, saying to one another, "Who is this, then, that he commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him?"
26 Wọ́n sì gúnlẹ̀ ní ilẹ̀ àwọn ará Gadara, tí ó kọjú sí Galili.
They arrived at the country of the Gerasenes, which is opposite Galila.
27 Nígbà tí ó sì sọ̀kalẹ̀, ọkùnrin kan pàdé rẹ̀ lẹ́yìn ìlú náà, tí ó ti ní àwọn ẹ̀mí èṣù fún ìgbà pípẹ́, tí kì í wọ aṣọ, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kì í jókòó ní ilé kan, bí kò ṣe ní ibojì.
And when he came out onto the land he was met by a certain man from the town who had demons. For a long time he had worn no clothes, and did not live in a house, but in the tombs.
28 Nígbà tí ó rí Jesu, ó ké, ó wólẹ̀ níwájú rẹ̀, ó wí lóhùn rara, pé, “Kí ni mo ní í ṣe pẹ̀lú rẹ, Jesu, ìwọ Ọmọ Ọlọ́run Ọ̀gá-ògo? Èmi bẹ̀ ọ́ má ṣe dá mi lóró.”
When he saw Yeshua, he shouted, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, "What do I have to do with you, Yeshua, you Son of the Most High God? I beg you, do not torment me."
29 (Nítorí tí ó ti wí fún ẹ̀mí àìmọ́ náà pé, kí ó jáde kúrò lára ọkùnrin náà. Nígbàkígbà ni ó ń mú un: wọn a sì fi ẹ̀wọ̀n àti ṣẹ́kẹ́ṣẹkẹ̀ dè é; a sì ja gbogbo ìdè náà, ẹ̀mí èṣù náà a sì darí rẹ̀ sí ijù).
For Yeshua was commanding the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For the unclean spirit had often seized the man. He was kept under guard, and bound with chains and fetters. Breaking the bands apart, he was driven by the demon into the desert.
30 Jesu sì bi í pé, “Kí ni orúkọ rẹ?” Ó sì dáhùn pé, “Ligioni,” nítorí ẹ̀mí èṣù púpọ̀ ni ó wa nínú rẹ.
Yeshua asked him, "What is your name?" He said, "Legion," for many demons had entered into him.
31 Wọ́n sì bẹ̀ ẹ́ pé, kí ó má ṣe rán wọn lọ sínú ọ̀gbun. (Abyssos g12)
They pleaded with him that he would not command them to go into the abyss. (Abyssos g12)
32 Agbo ẹlẹ́dẹ̀ púpọ̀ sì ń bẹ níbẹ̀ tí ń jẹ lórí òkè: wọ́n sì bẹ̀ ẹ́ kí ó jẹ́ kí àwọn wọ inú wọn lọ. Ó sì gba fún wọn.
Now there was there a herd of many pigs feeding on the mountain, and they begged him that he would allow them to enter into those. He allowed them.
33 Nígbà tí àwọn ẹ̀mí èṣù sì jáde kúrò lára ọkùnrin náà, wọ́n sì wọ inú àwọn ẹlẹ́dẹ̀ lọ. Agbo ẹlẹ́dẹ̀ sì tú ka, wọ́n sí súré rọ́ gììrì sọ̀kalẹ̀ sì bèbè odò bọ́ sínú adágún náà, wọ́n sì rì sínú rẹ̀.
The demons came out from the man, and entered into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake, and were drowned.
34 Nígbà tí àwọn tí n bọ́ wọn rí ohun tí ó ṣẹlẹ̀, wọ́n sá, wọ́n sì lọ, wọ́n sì ròyìn ní ìlú àti ní ilẹ̀ náà.
When those who fed them saw what had happened, they fled, and told it in the city and in the country.
35 Nígbà náà ni wọ́n jáde lọ wo ohun náà tí ó ṣẹlẹ̀, wọ́n sì tọ Jesu wá, wọ́n sì rí ọkùnrin náà, lára ẹni tí àwọn ẹ̀mí èṣù ti jáde lọ, ó jókòó lẹ́bàá ẹsẹ̀ Jesu, ó wọ aṣọ, iyè rẹ̀ sì bọ́ sí ipò: ẹ̀rù sì bà wọ́n.
Then people went out to see what had happened. They came to Yeshua, and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Yeshua's feet, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.
36 Àwọn tí ó rí i ròyìn fún wọn bí ó ti ṣe mú ẹni tí ó ní ẹ̀mí èṣù náà láradá.
Those who saw it told them how he who had been possessed by demons was healed.
37 Nígbà náà ni gbogbo ènìyàn láti ilẹ̀ Gadara yíká bẹ̀ ẹ́ pé, kí ó lọ kúrò lọ́dọ̀ wọn; nítorí ẹ̀rù bà wọ́n gidigidi. Ó sì bọ́ sínú ọkọ̀ ojú omi, ó si kúrò.
All the people of the surrounding region of the Geresenes asked him to leave them, for they were very much afraid; and he entered into the boat and returned.
38 Ǹjẹ́ ọkùnrin náà tí ẹ̀mí èṣù jáde kúrò lára rẹ̀, bẹ̀ ẹ́ kí òun lè máa bá a gbé: ṣùgbọ́n Jesu rán an lọ, wí pé,
But the man from whom the demons had gone out begged him that he might go with him, but Yeshua sent him away, saying,
39 “Padà lọ sí ilé rẹ, kí o sì sọ ohun tí Ọlọ́run ṣe fún ọ bí ó ti pọ̀ tó.” Ó sì lọ, o sì ń ròyìn ka gbogbo ìlú náà bí Jesu ti ṣe ohun ńlá fún òun tó.
"Return to your house, and declare what great things God has done for you." He went his way, proclaiming throughout the whole city what great things Yeshua had done for him.
40 Ó sì ṣe, nígbà tí Jesu padà lọ, àwọn ènìyàn tẹ́wọ́gbà á; nítorí tí gbogbo wọn ti ń retí rẹ̀.
When Yeshua returned, the crowd welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him.
41 Sì kíyèsi i, ọkùnrin kan tí a ń pè ní Jairu, ọ̀kan nínú àwọn olórí Sinagọgu wá; ó sì wólẹ̀ lẹ́bàá ẹsẹ̀ Jesu, ó bẹ̀ ẹ́ pé, kí ó wá sí ilé òun,
And look, there came a man named Yuarash, and he was a ruler of the synagogue. He fell down at Yeshua's feet, and pleaded with him to come into his house,
42 nítorí ó ní ọmọbìnrin kan ṣoṣo, ọmọ ìwọ̀n ọdún méjìlá, ti ó ń kú lọ. Bí ó sì ti ń lọ àwọn ènìyàn ko fun ni ààyè.
for he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as he went, the crowds pressed against him.
43 Obìnrin kan tí ó sì ní ìsun ẹ̀jẹ̀ láti ìgbà ọdún méjìlá, tí ó ná ohun gbogbo tí ó ní fún àwọn oníṣègùn, tí kò sì sí ẹnìkan tí ó lè mú un láradá,
A woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years (who had spent all her living on physicians) and could not be healed by any,
44 Ó wá sí ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀, ó fi ọwọ́ tọ́ ìṣẹ́tí aṣọ rẹ̀; lọ́gán ni ìsun ẹ̀jẹ̀ rẹ̀ sì ti gbẹ.
came behind him, and touched the fringe of his garment, and immediately the flow of her blood stopped.
45 Jesu sì wí pé, “Ta ni ó fi ọwọ́ kàn mí?” Nígbà tí gbogbo wọn sẹ́ Peteru àti àwọn tí ó wà pẹ̀lú rẹ̀ sọ pé, “Olùkọ́, àwọn ènìyàn ko ní ààyè, wọ́n sì ń kọlù ọ́, ìwọ sì wí pé, Ta ni ó fi ọwọ́ kàn mi?”
Yeshua said, "Who touched me?" When all denied it, Kipha and those with him said, "Master, the crowds press and jostle you."
46 Jesu sì wí pé, “Ẹnìkan fi ọwọ́ kàn mí: nítorí tí èmí mọ̀ pé, àṣẹ jáde lára mi.”
But Yeshua said, "Someone did touch me, for I perceived that power has gone out of me."
47 Nígbà tí obìnrin náà sì mọ̀ pé òun kò fi ara sin, ó wárìrì, ó wá, ó sì wólẹ̀ níwájú rẹ̀, ó sì sọ fún un lójú àwọn ènìyàn gbogbo nítorí ohun tí ó ṣe, tí òun fi fi ọwọ́ kàn án, àti bí a ti mú òun láradá lójúkan náà.
When the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling, and falling down before him declared to him in the presence of all the people the reason why she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.
48 Ó sì wí fún un pé, “Ọmọbìnrin, ìgbàgbọ́ rẹ mú ọ láradá, máa lọ ní Àlàáfíà.”
He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace."
49 Bí ó sì ti ń sọ̀rọ̀ lẹ́nu, ẹnìkan ti ilé olórí Sinagọgu wá, ó wí fún un pé, “Ọmọbìnrin rẹ kú; má yọ olùkọ́ni lẹ́nu mọ́.”
While he still spoke, one from the ruler of the synagogue's house came, saying to him, "Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the Teacher."
50 Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí Jesu gbọ́, ó dá a lóhùn, pé, “Má bẹ̀rù: sá gbàgbọ́ nìkan, a ó sì mú un láradá.”
But Yeshua hearing it, answered him, "Do not be afraid. Only believe, and she will be healed."
51 Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí Jesu sì wọ ilé, kò jẹ́ kí ẹnikẹ́ni wọlé, bí kò ṣe Peteru, àti Jakọbu, àti Johanu, àti baba àti ìyá ọmọbìnrin náà.
When he came to the house, he did not allow anyone to enter in with him, except Kipha, Yukhanan, Yaquv, the father of the child, and her mother.
52 Gbogbo wọn sì sọkún, wọ́n pohùnréré ẹkún rẹ̀: ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Ẹ má sọkún mọ́; kò kú, sísùn ni ó sùn.”
All were weeping and mourning her, but he said, "Do not weep. She is not dead, but sleeping."
53 Wọ́n sì fi í ṣẹ̀fẹ̀, wọ́n sá mọ̀ pé ó kú.
They were ridiculing him, knowing that she was dead.
54 Nígbà tí ó sì sé gbogbo wọn mọ́ òde, ó mú un lọ́wọ́, ó sì wí pé, “Ọmọbìnrin, dìde!”
But he, taking her by the hand, called, saying, "Child, arise."
55 Ẹ̀mí rẹ̀ sì padà bọ̀, ó sì dìde lọ́gán: ó ní kí wọn fún un ní oúnjẹ.
Her spirit returned, and she rose up immediately. He commanded that something be given to her to eat.
56 Ẹnu sì ya àwọn òbí rẹ̀: ṣùgbọ́n ó kìlọ̀ fún wọn pé, kí wọn má ṣe wí fún ẹnìkan ohun tí a ṣe.
Her parents were amazed, but he commanded them to tell no one what had been done.
