< Luke 22 >

1 Àjọ ọdún àìwúkàrà tí à ń pè ní Ìrékọjá sì kù fẹ́ẹ́rẹ́.
Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.
2 Àti àwọn olórí àlùfáà, àti àwọn akọ̀wé ń wá ọ̀nà tí wọn ìbá gbà pa á; nítorí tí wọn ń bẹ̀rù àwọn ènìyàn.
And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him; for they feared the people.
3 Satani sì wọ inú Judasi, tí à ń pè ní Iskariotu, ọ̀kan nínú àwọn méjìlá.
Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.
4 Ó sì mú ọ̀nà rẹ̀ pọ̀n, ó lọ láti bá àwọn olórí àlùfáà àti àwọn olórí ẹ̀ṣọ́ gbèrò pọ̀, bí òun yóò tí fi í lé wọn lọ́wọ́.
And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them.
5 Wọ́n sì yọ̀, wọ́n sì bá a dá májẹ̀mú láti fún un ní owó.
And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money.
6 Ó sì gbà; ó sì ń wá àkókò tí ó wọ̀, láti fi í lé wọn lọ́wọ́ láìsí ariwo.
And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitude.
7 Ọjọ́ àìwúkàrà pé, nígbà tí wọ́n ní láti pa ọ̀dọ́-àgùntàn ìrékọjá fún ìrúbọ.
Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed.
8 Ó sì rán Peteru àti Johanu, wí pé, “Ẹ lọ pèsè ìrékọjá fún wa, kí àwa ó jẹ.”
And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat.
9 Wọ́n sì wí fún un pé, “Níbo ni ìwọ ń fẹ́ kí á pèsè sílẹ̀?”
And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare?
10 Ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Kíyèsi i, nígbà tí ẹ̀yin bá ń wọ ìlú lọ, ọkùnrin kan tí ó ru ìkòkò omi yóò pàdé yín, ẹ bá a lọ sí ilé tí ó bá wọ̀,
And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in.
11 kí ẹ sì wí fún baálé ilé náà pé, ‘Olùkọ́ wí fún ọ pé, níbo ni gbàngàn àpèjẹ náà gbé wà, níbi tí èmi ó gbé jẹ ìrékọjá pẹ̀lú àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn mi?’
And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?
12 Òun ó sì fi gbàngàn ńlá kan lókè ilé hàn yín, tí a ṣe lọ́ṣọ̀ọ́, níbẹ̀ ni kí ẹ̀yin pèsè sílẹ̀.”
And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.
13 Wọ́n sì lọ wọ́n sì bá a gẹ́gẹ́ bí ó tí sọ fún wọn, wọ́n sì pèsè ìrékọjá sílẹ̀.
And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.
14 Nígbà tí àkókò sì tó, ó jókòó àti àwọn aposteli pẹ̀lú rẹ̀.
And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.
15 Ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Tinútinú ni èmi fẹ́ fi bá yín jẹ ìrékọjá yìí, kí èmi tó jìyà.
And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:
16 Nítorí mo wí fún yín, Èmi kì yóò jẹ nínú rẹ̀ mọ́, títí a ó fi mú un ṣẹ ní ìjọba Ọlọ́run.”
For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
17 Ó sì gba ago, nígbà tí ó sì ti dúpẹ́, ó wí pé, “Gba èyí, kí ẹ sì pín in láàrín ara yín.
And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide [it] among yourselves:
18 Nítorí mo wí fún yín, Èmi kì yóò mu nínú èso àjàrà mọ́, títí ìjọba Ọlọ́run yóò fi dé.”
For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.
19 Ó sì mú àkàrà, nígbà tí ó sì ti dúpẹ́ ó bù ú, ó sì fi fún wọn, ó wí pé, “Èyí ni ara mí tí a fi fún yín, ẹ máa ṣe èyí ní ìrántí mi.”
And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake [it], and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
20 Bẹ́ẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ lẹ́yìn oúnjẹ alẹ́, ó sì mú ago wáìnì, ó wí pé, “Ago yìí ni májẹ̀mú tuntun nínú ẹ̀jẹ̀ mi, tí a ta sílẹ̀ fún yín.
Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup [is] the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
21 Ṣùgbọ́n ẹ kíyèsi i, ọwọ́ ẹni tí yóò fi mí hàn wà pẹ̀lú mi lórí tábìlì.
But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me [is] with me on the table.
22 Ọmọ Ènìyàn ń lọ nítòótọ́ bí a tí pinnu rẹ̀, ṣùgbọ́n ègbé ni fún ọkùnrin náà nípasẹ̀ ẹni tí a gbé ti fi í hàn.”
And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed!
23 Wọ́n sì bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí béèrè láàrín ara wọn, ta ni nínú wọn tí yóò ṣe nǹkan yìí.
And they began to enquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.
24 Ìjà kan sì ń bẹ láàrín wọn, ní ti ẹni tí a kà sí olórí nínú wọn.
And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest.
25 Ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Àwọn ọba aláìkọlà a máa fẹlá lórí wọn, a sì máa pe àwọn aláṣẹ wọn ní olóore.
And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.
26 Ṣùgbọ́n ẹ̀yin kì yóò rí bẹ́ẹ̀; ṣùgbọ́n ẹni tí ó ba pọ̀jù nínú yín kí ó jẹ́ bí ẹni tí o kéré ju àbúrò; ẹni tí ó sì ṣe olórí, bí ẹni tí ń ṣe ìránṣẹ́.
But ye [shall] not [be] so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.
27 Nítorí ta ni ó pọ̀jù, ẹni tí ó jókòó tí oúnjẹ, tàbí ẹni tí ó ń ṣe ìránṣẹ́. Ẹni tí ó jókòó ti oúnjẹ kọ́ bí? Ṣùgbọ́n èmi ń bẹ láàrín yín bí ẹni tí ń ṣe ìránṣẹ́.
For whether [is] greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? [is] not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.
28 Ẹ̀yin ni àwọn tí ó ti dúró tì mí nínú ìdánwò mi.
Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations.
29 Mo sì yan ìjọba fún yín, gẹ́gẹ́ bí Baba mi ti yàn fún mi.
And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;
30 Kí ẹ̀yin lè máa jẹ, kí ẹ̀yin sì lè máa mu lórí tábìlì mi ní ìjọba mi, kí ẹ̀yin lè jókòó lórí ìtẹ́, àti kí ẹ̀yin lè máa ṣe ìdájọ́ fún àwọn ẹ̀yà Israẹli méjìlá.”
That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
31 Olúwa sì wí pé, “Simoni, Simoni, wò ó, Satani fẹ́ láti gbà ọ́, kí ó lè kù ọ́ bí alikama.
And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired [to have] you, that he may sift [you] as wheat:
32 Ṣùgbọ́n mo ti gbàdúrà fún ọ, kí ìgbàgbọ́ rẹ má ṣe yẹ̀; àti ìwọ nígbà tí ìwọ bá sì padà bọ̀ sípò, mú àwọn arákùnrin rẹ lọ́kàn le.”
But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
33 Ó sì wí fún un pé, “Olúwa, mo múra tán láti bá ọ lọ sínú túbú, àti sí ikú.”
And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.
34 Ó sì wí pé, “Mo wí fún ọ, Peteru, àkùkọ kì yóò kọ lónìí tí ìwọ ó fi sẹ́ mi lẹ́ẹ̀mẹ́ta pé, ìwọ kò mọ̀ mí.”
And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.
35 Ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Nígbà tí mo rán yín lọ láìní àpò-owó, àti àpò, àti bàtà, ọ̀dá ohun kan dá yín bí?” Wọ́n sì wí pé, “Rárá!”
And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
36 Nígbà náà ni ó wí fún wọn pé, “Ṣùgbọ́n nísinsin yìí, ẹni tí ó bá ní àpò-owó kí ó mú un, àti àpò pẹ̀lú; ẹni tí kò bá sì ní idà, kí ó ta aṣọ rẹ̀, kí ó sì fi ra ọ̀kan.
Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take [it], and likewise [his] scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
37 Nítorí mo wí fún yín pé, ‘Èyí tí a ti kọ̀wé rẹ̀ kò lè ṣe kí ó má ṣẹ lára mi, a sì kà á mọ́ àwọn arúfin.’ Nítorí àwọn ohun wọ̀nyí nípa ti èmi yóò ní ìmúṣẹ.” tí a sì kà á mọ́ àwọn alárékọjá.
For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.
38 Wọ́n sì wí pé, “Olúwa, sá wò ó, idà méjì ń bẹ níhìn-ín yìí!” Ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Ó tó.”
And they said, Lord, behold, here [are] two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.
39 Ó sì jáde, ó sì lọ bí ìṣe rẹ̀ sí òkè olifi, àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ sì tọ̀ ọ́ lẹ́yìn.
And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.
40 Nígbà tí ó wà níbẹ̀, ó wí fún wọn pé, “Ẹ máa gbàdúrà, kí ẹ̀yin má ṣe bọ́ sínú ìdẹwò.”
And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.
41 Ó sì fi wọ́n sílẹ̀ níwọ̀n ìsọ-òkò kan, ó sì kúnlẹ̀ ó sì ń gbàdúrà.
And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,
42 Wí pé, “Baba, bí ìwọ bá fẹ́, mu ago yìí kúrò lọ́dọ́ mi: ṣùgbọ́n ìfẹ́ ti èmi kọ́, bí kò ṣe tìrẹ ni kí à ṣe.”
Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
43 Angẹli kan sì yọ sí i láti ọ̀run wá, ó ń gbà á ní ìyànjú.
And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.
44 Bí ó sì ti wà nínú gbígbóná ara ó ń gbàdúrà sí i kíkankíkan; òógùn rẹ̀ sì dàbí ìró ẹ̀jẹ̀ ńlá, ó ń kán sílẹ̀.
And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
45 Nígbà tí ó sì dìde kúrò ní ibi àdúrà, tí ó sì tọ àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ wá, ó bá wọn, wọ́n ń sùn nítorí ìbànújẹ́ ti mu kí ó rẹ̀ wọ́n.
And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,
46 Ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Kí ni ẹ̀ yin ń sùn sí? Ẹ dìde, ẹ máa gbàdúrà, kí ẹ̀yin má ṣe bọ́ sínú ìdẹwò.”
And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
47 Bí ó sì ti ń sọ lọ́wọ́, kíyèsi i, ọ̀pọ̀ ènìyàn, àti ẹni tí a ń pè ní Judasi, ọ̀kan nínú àwọn méjìlá, ó ṣáájú wọn, ó súnmọ́ Jesu láti fi ẹnu kò ó ní ẹnu.
And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him.
48 Jesu sì wí fún un pé, “Judasi, ìwọ yóò ha fi ìfẹnukonu fi Ọmọ Ènìyàn hàn?”
But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?
49 Nígbà tí àwọn tí ó wà lọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀ ń wo bí nǹkan yóò ti jásí, wọ́n bi í pé, “Olúwa kí àwa fi idà sá wọn?”
When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?
50 Ọ̀kan nínú wọn sì fi idà ṣá ọmọ ọ̀dọ̀ olórí àlùfáà, ó sì gé etí ọ̀tún rẹ̀ sọnù.
And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
51 Ṣùgbọ́n Jesu dáhùn ó wí pé, “Ko gbọdọ̀ ṣe èyí mọ.” Ó sì fi ọwọ́ tọ́ ọ ní etí, ó sì wò ó sàn.
And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.
52 Jesu wí fún àwọn olórí àlùfáà, àti àwọn olórí ẹ̀ṣọ́ tẹmpili, àti àwọn alàgbà, tí wọ́n jáde tọ̀ ọ́ wá pé, “Ẹ̀yin ha jáde wá pẹ̀lú idà àti ọ̀kọ̀ bí ẹni tọ ọlọ́ṣà wá?
Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves?
53 Nígbà tí èmi wà pẹ̀lú yín lójoojúmọ́ ní tẹmpili, ẹ̀yin kò na ọwọ́ mú mi, ṣùgbọ́n àkókò tiyín ni èyí, àti agbára òkùnkùn n jẹ ọba.”
When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
54 Wọ́n sì gbá a mú, wọ́n sì fà á lọ, wọ́n sì mú un wá sí ilé olórí àlùfáà. Ṣùgbọ́n Peteru tọ̀ ọ́ lẹ́yìn ní òkèrè.
Then took they him, and led [him], and brought him into the high priest’s house. And Peter followed afar off.
55 Nígbà tí wọ́n sì ti dáná láàrín àgbàlá, tí wọ́n sì jókòó pọ̀, Peteru jókòó láàrín wọn.
And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them.
56 Ọmọbìnrin kan sì rí i bí ó ti jókòó níbi ìmọ́lẹ̀ iná náà, ó sì tẹjúmọ́ ọn, ó ní, “Eléyìí náà wà pẹ̀lú rẹ̀.”
But a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him.
57 Ṣùgbọ́n, ó wí pé, “Obìnrin yìí, èmi kò mọ̀ ọ́n.”
And he denied him, saying, Woman, I know him not.
58 Kò pẹ́ lẹ́yìn náà ẹlòmíràn sì rí i, ó ní, “Ìwọ pẹ̀lú wà nínú wọn.” Ṣùgbọ́n Peteru wí pé, “Ọkùnrin yìí, èmi kọ́.”
And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou art also of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not.
59 Ó sì tó bí i wákàtí kan síbẹ̀ ẹlòmíràn tẹnumọ́ ọn, wí pé, “Nítòótọ́ eléyìí náà wà pẹ̀lú rẹ̀: nítorí ará Galili ní í ṣe.”
And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this [fellow] also was with him: for he is a Galilæan.
60 Ṣùgbọ́n Peteru wí pé, “Ọkùnrin yìí, èmi kò mọ ohun tí ìwọ ń wí!” Lójúkan náà, bí ó tí ń wí lẹ́nu, àkùkọ kọ!
And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew.
61 Olúwa sì yípadà, ó wo Peteru. Peteru sì rántí ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa, bí ó ti wí fún un pé, “Kí àkùkọ tó kọ, ìwọ ó sẹ́ mi lẹ́ẹ̀mẹ́ta.”
And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
62 Peteru sì bọ́ sí òde, ó sọkún kíkorò.
And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.
63 Ó sì ṣe, àwọn ọkùnrin tí wọ́n mú Jesu, sì fi í ṣe ẹlẹ́yà, wọ́n lù ú.
And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and smote [him].
64 Nígbà tí wọ́n sì dì í ní ojú, wọ́n lù ú níwájú, wọ́n ń bi í pé, “Sọtẹ́lẹ̀! Ta ni ó lù ọ́?”
And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee?
65 Wọ́n sì sọ ọ̀pọ̀ ohun búburú mìíràn sí i, láti fi ṣe ẹlẹ́yà.
And many other things blasphemously spake they against him.
66 Nígbà tí ilẹ̀ sì mọ́, ìjọ àwọn alàgbà àwọn ènìyàn péjọpọ̀, àti àwọn olórí àlùfáà, àti àwọn akọ̀wé, wọ́n sì fà á lọ sí àjọ wọn, wọ́n ń wí pé,
And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led him into their council, saying,
67 “Bí ìwọ bá jẹ́ Kristi náà? Sọ fún wa!” Ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Bí mo bá wí fún yín, ẹ̀yin kì yóò gbàgbọ́,
Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:
68 bí mo bá sì bi yín léèrè pẹ̀lú, ẹ̀yin kì yóò dá mi lóhùn.
And if I also ask [you], ye will not answer me, nor let [me] go.
69 Ṣùgbọ́n láti ìsinsin yìí lọ ni Ọmọ Ènìyàn yóò jókòó lọ́wọ́ ọ̀tún agbára Ọlọ́run.”
Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.
70 Gbogbo wọn sì wí pé, “Ìwọ ha ṣe Ọmọ Ọlọ́run bí?” Ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Ẹ̀yin wí pé, èmi ni.”
Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am.
71 Wọ́n sì wí pé, “Ẹ̀rí wo ni àwa tún ń fẹ́ àwa tìkára wa sá à ti gbọ́ lẹ́nu rẹ̀!”
And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth.
