< Luke 15 >

1 Gbogbo àwọn agbowó òde àti àwọn ẹlẹ́ṣẹ̀ sì súnmọ́ ọn láti gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ̀.
Now all the publicans and sinners were drawing near unto him for to hear him.
2 Àti àwọn Farisi àti àwọn akọ̀wé ń kùn pé, “Ọkùnrin yìí ń gba ẹlẹ́ṣẹ̀, ó sì ń bá wọn jẹun.”
And both the Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.
3 Ó sì pa òwe yìí fún wọn, pé,
And he spake unto them this parable, saying,
4 “Ọkùnrin wo ni nínú yín, tí ó ní ọgọ́rùn-ún àgùntàn, bí ó bá sọ ọ̀kan nù nínú wọn, tí kì yóò fi mọ́kàndínlọ́gọ́rùn-ún yokù sílẹ̀ ni ijù tí kì yóò sì tọ ipasẹ̀ èyí tí ó nù lọ, títí yóò fi rí i?
What man of you, having a hundred sheep, and having lost one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
5 Nígbà tí ó bá sì rí i tán, yóò gbé e lé èjìká rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ayọ̀.
And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
6 Nígbà tí ó bá sì dé ilé yóò pe àwọn ọ̀rẹ́ àti aládùúgbò rẹ̀ jọ, yóò sì wí fún wọn pé, ‘Ẹ bá mí yọ̀; nítorí tí mo ti rí àgùntàn mi tí ó nù.’
And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and his neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost.
7 Mo wí fún yín, gẹ́gẹ́ bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ayọ̀ yóò wà ní ọ̀run lórí ẹlẹ́ṣẹ̀ kan tí ó ronúpìwàdà, ju lórí olóòtítọ́ mọ́kàndínlọ́gọ́rùn-ún lọ, tí kò nílò ìrònúpìwàdà.
I say unto you, that even so there shall be joy in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, [more] than over ninety and nine righteous persons, which need no repentance.
8 “Tàbí obìnrin wo ni ó ní owó fàdákà mẹ́wàá bí ó bá sọ ọ̀kan nù, tí kì yóò tan fìtílà, kí ó fi gbá ilé, kí ó sì wá a gidigidi títí yóò fi rí i?
Or what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a lamp, and sweep the house, and seek diligently until she find it?
9 Nígbà tí ó sì rí i, ó pe àwọn ọ̀rẹ́ àti àwọn aládùúgbò rẹ̀ jọ, ó wí pé, ‘Ẹ bá mi yọ̀; nítorí mo rí owó fàdákà tí mo ti sọnù.’
And when she hath found it, she calleth together her friends and neighbours, saying, Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece which I had lost.
10 Mo wí fún yín, gẹ́gẹ́ bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ayọ̀ ń bẹ níwájú àwọn angẹli Ọlọ́run lórí ẹlẹ́ṣẹ̀ kan tí ó ronúpìwàdà.”
Even so, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
11 Ó sì wí pé ọkùnrin kan ní ọmọ méjì:
And he said, A certain man had two sons:
12 “Èyí àbúrò nínú wọn wí fún baba rẹ̀ pé, ‘Baba, fún mi ní ìní tí ó kàn mí.’ Ó sì pín ohun ìní rẹ̀ fún wọn.
and the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of [thy] substance that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.
13 “Kò sì tó ọjọ́ mélòó kan lẹ́yìn náà, èyí àbúrò kó ohun gbogbo tí ó ní jọ, ó sì mú ọ̀nà àjò rẹ̀ pọ̀n lọ sí ilẹ̀ òkèrè, níbẹ̀ ni ó sì gbé fi ìwà wọ̀bìà ná ohun ìní rẹ̀ ní ìnákúnàá.
And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country; and there he wasted his substance with riotous living.
14 Nígbà tí ó sì ba gbogbo rẹ̀ jẹ́ tan, ìyàn ńlá wá mú ní ilẹ̀ náà; ó sì bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí di aláìní.
And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that country; and he began to be in want.
15 Ó sì fi ara rẹ sọfà fun ọ̀kan lára àwọn ọmọ ìlú náà; òun sì rán an lọ sí oko rẹ̀ láti tọ́jú ẹlẹ́dẹ̀.
And he went and joined himself to one of the citizens of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
16 Ayọ̀ ni ìbá fi jẹ oúnjẹ tí àwọn ẹlẹ́dẹ̀ ń jẹ ní àjẹyó, ṣùgbọ́n ẹnikẹ́ni kò sì fi fún un.
And he would fain have been filled with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.
17 “Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí ojú rẹ̀ wálẹ̀, ó ní ‘Mélòó mélòó àwọn alágbàṣe baba mí ni ó ní oúnjẹ àjẹyó, àti àjẹtì, èmi sì ń kú fún ebi níhìn-ín.
But when he came to himself he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish here with hunger!
18 Èmi ó dìde, èmi ó sì tọ baba mi lọ, èmi ó sì wí fún un pé, Baba, èmí ti dẹ́ṣẹ̀ sí ọ̀run, àti níwájú rẹ,
I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight:
19 èmi kò sì yẹ, ní ẹni tí à bá pè ní ọmọ rẹ mọ́; fi mí ṣe ọ̀kan nínú àwọn alágbàṣe rẹ.’
I am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.
20 Ó sì dìde, ó sì tọ baba rẹ̀ lọ. “Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí ó sì wà ní òkèrè, baba rẹ̀ rí i, àánú ṣe é, ó sì súré, ó rọ̀ mọ́ ọn ní ọrùn, ó sì fi ẹnu kò ó ní ẹnu.
And he arose, and came to his father. But while he was yet afar off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
21 “Ọmọ náà sì wí fún un pé, Baba, èmi ti dẹ́ṣẹ̀ sí ọ̀run, àti níwájú rẹ, èmi kò yẹ ní ẹni tí à bá pè ní ọmọ rẹ mọ́!
And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight: I am no more worthy to be called thy son.
22 “Ṣùgbọ́n baba náà wí fún àwọn ọmọ ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ̀ pé, Ẹ mú ààyò aṣọ wá kánkán, kí ẹ sì fi wọ̀ ọ́; ẹ sì fi òrùka bọ̀ ọ́ lọ́wọ́, àti bàtà sí ẹsẹ̀ rẹ̀:
But the father said to his servants, Bring forth quickly the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
23 Ẹ sì mú ẹgbọrọ màlúù àbọ́pa wá, kí ẹ sì pa á, kí a máa ṣe àríyá.
and bring the fatted calf, [and] kill it, and let us eat, and make merry:
24 Nítorí ọmọ mi yìí ti kú, ó sì tún yè, ó ti nù, a sì rí i. Wọ́n sì bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí í ṣe àríyá.
for this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
25 “Ṣùgbọ́n ọmọ rẹ̀ èyí ẹ̀gbọ́n ti wà ní oko: bí ó sì ti ń bọ̀, tí ó súnmọ́ etí ilé, ó gbọ́ orin àti ijó.
Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard music and dancing.
26 Ó sì pe ọ̀kan nínú àwọn ọmọ ọ̀dọ̀ wọn, ó béèrè, kín ni a mọ nǹkan wọ̀nyí sí?
And he called to him one of the servants, and inquired what these things might be.
27 Ó sì wí fún un pé, ‘Arákùnrin rẹ dé, baba rẹ sì pa ẹgbọrọ màlúù àbọ́pa, nítorí tí ó rí i padà ní àlàáfíà àti ní ìlera.’
And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.
28 “Ó sì bínú, ó sì kọ̀ láti wọlé; baba rẹ̀ sì jáde, ó sì wá í ṣìpẹ̀ fún un.
But he was angry, and would not go in: and his father came out, and entreated him.
29 Ó sì dáhùn ó wí fún baba rẹ̀ pé, ‘Wò ó, láti ọdún mélòó wọ̀nyí ni èmi ti ń sìn ọ́, èmi kò sì rú òfin rẹ rí, ìwọ kò sì tí ì fi ọmọ ewúrẹ́ kan fún mi, láti fi bá àwọn ọ̀rẹ́ mi ṣe àríyá.
But he answered and said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, and I never transgressed a commandment of thine: and [yet] thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
30 Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí ọmọ rẹ yìí dé, ẹni tí ó fi panṣágà fi ọrọ̀ rẹ̀ ṣòfò, ìwọ sì ti pa ẹgbọrọ màlúù àbọ́pa fún un.’
but when this thy son came, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou killedst for him the fatted calf.
31 “Ó sì wí fún un pé, ‘Ọmọ, nígbà gbogbo ni ìwọ ń bẹ lọ́dọ̀ mi, ohun gbogbo tí mo sì ní, tìrẹ ni.
And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that is mine is thine.
32 Ó yẹ kí a ṣe àríyá kí a sì yọ̀: nítorí arákùnrin rẹ yìí ti kú, ó sì tún yè; ó ti nù, a sì rí i.’”
But it was meet to make merry and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive [again]; and [was] lost, and is found.
