< John 12 >

1 Bilumbu bisambanu bisiala muingi nyengo Pasika wuba, Yesu wuyenda ku Betani kuba Lazale mutu wowo kafulukisa.
Then, six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had made to come back from the dead.
2 Banlambila ndikulu yinneni. Malata wuba tudila bidia va meza; Lazale mamvandi wuba wumosi mu bawu bavuanda yandi va meza.
So they made him a meal there, and he was waited on by Martha, and Lazarus was among those who were seated with him at table.
3 Maliya wubonga ndambu yi lita yi malasi, makambu sobukusu, mathalumavangulu mu nale wudukula mawu mu malu ma Yesu, wufiona malu mandi muzitsuki ziandi. Nzo yoso yimana wala tsudi malasi.
Then Mary, taking a pound of perfumed oil of great value, put it on the feet of Jesus and made them dry with her hair: and the house became full of the smell of the perfume.
4 Wumosi mu minlonguki miandi, Yuda Isikalioti wukana kumvakula, wutuba:
But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot (who was to give him up), said,
5 —Bila mbi kadi kuandi sumbisa malasi beni mu zikhama zitatu zi denali, bosi yeka vana zimbongo beni kuidi minsukami e?
Why was not this perfume traded for three hundred pence, and the money given to the poor?
6 Wutubila bobo bika sia mu diambu di kabela minsukami mayinduvayi wutubila bobo bila wuba muivi, niandi wuba lundanga kesi ya zimbongo ayi wuba yibanga zimbongo ziozi ziba tulungu muna.
(He said this, not because he had any love for the poor; but because he was a thief, and, having the money-bag, took for himself what was put into it.)
7 Yesu wutuba: —Lumbika, bila lundidi mawu mu diambu di lumbu ki nzikuluꞌama.
Then Jesus said, Let her be. Let her keep what she has for the day of my death.
8 Bila minsukami midi yeno mu zithangu zioso va kimosi vayi beno lulendi kalanga yama mu zithangu zioso ko!
The poor you have ever with you, but me you have not for ever.
9 Nkangu wunneni mu bayuda bazaba ti Yesu widi kuna, buna bayiza kuna, bika sia ti mudiambu di tala Yesu kaka vayi muingi bamona Lazale mutu wowo Yesu kafulukisa.
Then a great number of the Jews had news that he was there: and they came, not only because of Jesus, but so that they might see Lazarus who had been dead and to whom he had given life.
10 Buna bapfumu zi zinganga Nzambi zikutakana mu diambu di vondisa Lazale.
Now there was talk among the chief priests of putting Lazarus to death;
11 Bila mu diambu diandi Bayuda bawombo batina ayi bawilukila Yesu.
For because of him a great number of the Jews went away and had belief in Jesus.
12 Lumbu kilanda, nkangu wu batu wuyiza ku nyengo bu wuwa ti Yesuwulembo yizi ku Yelusalemi;
The day after, a great number of people who were there for the feast, when they had the news that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
13 buna babonga mandalala ayi bayenda ku ntualꞌandi bayamikina mu mbembo yingolo: —Ozana! Bika kasakumuna mutu wowo wunkuizila mu dizina di Pfumu, Ntinu wu Iseli.
Took branches of palm-trees and went out to him, crying, A blessing on him who comes in the name of the Lord, the King of Israel!
14 Yesu bu kamona muana phunda wuvuanda va mbata phunda beni banga busonimina:
And Jesus saw a young ass and took his seat on it; as the Writings say,
15 Bika kuaku mona boma ngeyo muana ndumba wu Sioni Tala ntinuꞌaku wizidi, buna kavuendi va mbata muana phunda.
Have no fear, daughter of Zion: see your King is coming, seated on a young ass.
16 Minlonguki miandi misia tuama zaba ko tsundu mambu momo. Vayi Yesu bu kamana kemboso, bosi mitebuka moyo ti mambu beni momo masonama mu diambu diandi ayi bavanga mambu momo mu diambu diadi.
(These things were not clear to his disciples at first: but when Jesus had been lifted up into his glory, then it came to their minds that these things in the Writings were about him and that they had been done to him.)
17 Nkangu wowo wuba yandi wuntelimina kimbangi mu diambu katotula Lazale mu ziami ayi mu diambu kamfulukisa mu bafua.
Now the people who were with him when his voice came to Lazarus in the place of the dead, and gave him life again, had been talking about it.
18 Diawu diodi bawombo bayiza ku ntualꞌandi mu kundengana bu bawa ti niandi wuvanga kumu kioki.
And that was the reason the people went out to him, because it had come to their ears that he had done this sign.
19 Bafalisi bakambasana bawu na bawu: —Lulembo moni ti lulendi nunga ko! Bila tala batu boso balembo nlandakana.
Then the Pharisees said one to another, You see, you are unable to do anything: the world has gone after him.
20 Basi Ngelesi bankaka bayiza mu sambila ku Yelusalemi mu lumbu ki nyengo,
Now there were some Greeks among the people who had come up to give worship at the feast:
21 bayenda bata Filipi muisi Betesayida; divula didi mu tsi Ngalili, banleba ayi bankamba: —Tata, tutidi mona Yesu!
They came to Philip, who was of Beth-saida in Galilee, and made a request, saying, Sir, we have a desire to see Jesus.
22 Filipi wuyenda ayi wukamba buawu Andele. Andele va kimosi ayi Filipi bayiza kamba buawu yesu.
Philip went and gave word of it to Andrew; and Andrew went with Philip to Jesus.
23 Yesu wuba vutudila: —Thangu yifueni yoyi Muana Mutu yikafueti kembosolo.
And Jesus said to them in answer, The hour of the glory of the Son of man has come.
24 Bukiedika, bukiedika ndikulukamba enati luteti lu ble lolo lubuidi va ntoto lukadi bola, buna luidi kaka luawu veka. Vayi enati lubodidi buna lumbutanga zitheti ziwombo.
Truly I say to you, If a seed of grain does not go into the earth and come to an end, it is still a seed and no more; but through its death it gives much fruit.
25 Woso mutu wunzola luzingu luandi, wela luzimbisa vayi woso wunlenda luzingu luandi va ntoto wawu wela lulunda mu diambu di luzingu lukalumani. (aiōnios g166)
He who is in love with life will have it taken from him; and he who has no care for his life in this world will keep it for ever and ever. (aiōnios g166)
26 Woso wukutsadila, bika kandandakana. Ayi koso ku ndidi kuna kuela ba kisadi kiama. Tata wela kinzika woso wu kutsadila.
If any man is my servant, let him come after me; and where I am, there will my servant be. If any man becomes my servant, my Father will give him honour.
27 Buabu muelꞌamam weka kiadi kiwombo. Mbi mfueti tuba e? Tata, wukhula mu thangu yayi. Vayi ndiyizila mu diambu di thangu yayi.
Now is my soul troubled; and what am I to say? Father, keep me from this hour. No: for this purpose have I come to this hour.
28 Tata, kembisa dizina diaku! Muna thangu beni, mbembo yiba ku Diyilu yiwakana: —Minu ndikembisa diawu ayi ndiela buela kudikembisa diaka.
Father, give glory to your name. Then there came a voice out of heaven, saying, I have given it glory, and I will give it glory again.
29 Nkangu wu batu baba vana bawa mbembo beni, batuba ti: —Yibedi nzazi. Vayi bankaka batuba ti: —Mbasi yiza kunyolukila.
Hearing the sound, a number of people who were there said that it was thunder: others said, An angel was talking to him.
30 Yesu wuba kamba: —Mbembo yisi wakakana mu diambu diama ko vayi yiwakikini mu diambu dieno.
Jesus said in answer, This voice came not for me but for you.
31 Buabu tsambusulu yi nza yayi yifueni; buabu pfumu yi nza yayi lozolo ku nganda.
Now is this world to be judged: now will the ruler of this world be sent out.
32 Minu bu ndiela tombolo ku diyilu, buna ndiela tuta batu boso kuidi minu.
And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will make all men come to me.
33 Yesu wutuba mambu momo mu diambu di monisa phila lufua kela fuila.
(This he said, pointing to the sort of death he would have.)
34 Nkangu wumvutudila: —Beto tuzebi mu Mina ti Klisto kafueti zinga mu zithangu zioso. Vayi buna buevi ngeyo wuntubila ti Muana Mutu kafueti tombulu ku Diyilu e? Buna nani Muana mutu beni e? (aiōn g165)
Then the people in answer said to him, The law says that the Christ will have life without end: how say you then that it is necessary for the Son of man to be lifted up? Who is this Son of man? (aiōn g165)
35 Yesu wuba kamba: —Mu thangu yifioti kaka, kiezila kididi va khatitsikꞌeno buna bika ludiata bu luki ayi kiezila muingi tombi kibika kulubuila. Bila woso wundiatila mu tombi kakadi zaba kuevi keti kuenda.
Jesus said to them, For a little time longer the light will be among you; while you have the light go on walking in it, so that the dark may not overtake you: one walking in the dark has no knowledge of where he is going.
36 Sumbu lukidi ayi kiezila buna luwilukila mu kiezila muingi beno luba bana ba kiezila. Yesu wutuba mambu momo, wuyenda, wusuama va meso mawu.
In so far as you have the light, put your faith in the light so that you may become sons of light. With these words Jesus went away and for a time was not seen again by them.
37 Ka diambu ko Yesu wuvanga bikumu biwombo va meso mawu vayi bamanga ku nwilukila.
But though he had done such a number of signs before them, they still had no belief in him:
38 Buawu bobo budedikinina mambu mabikula mbikudi Ezayi: Pfumu, nani wuwilukila mambu momo kawa kuidi beto e? Ayi kuidi nani kumonikinina lulendo lu Pfumu e?
So that the words of the prophet Isaiah might come true, when he said, Lord, who has any belief in our preaching? and the arm of the Lord, to whom has it been unveiled?
39 Diawu balendi wilukila ko bila Ezayi wubuela bikula:
For this reason they were unable to have belief, because Isaiah said again,
40 Niandi wuvonda meso mawu Ayi wukitula mintima miawu matadi muingi babika mona ayi babika sudika mu mintima miawu mu diambu babika balula mavanga; muingi ndiedi kuba belusa.
He has made their eyes blind, and their hearts hard; for fear that they might see with their eyes and get knowledge with their hearts, and be changed, and I might make them well.
41 Ezayi wutubila bobo mu diambu kamona nkemo wu Yesu ayi wuyolukila mu diambu diandi.
(Isaiah said these words because he saw his glory. His words were about him.)
42 Muaki bawombo mu bapfumu zi Bayuda bawilukila Yesu vayi bamanga kuditelimina kimbangi mu diambu di Bafalisi bedi ku batotula mu nzo yi lukutukunu.
However, a number even of the rulers had belief in him, but because of the Pharisees they did not say so openly for fear that they might be shut out from the Synagogue:
43 Bila baluta zola nkembo wu batu bika nkembo wu Nzambi.
For the praise of men was dearer to them than the approval of God.
44 Yesu wutuba mu ndinga yingolo: —Woso wunguilukidi buna bika sia ti minu veka kawilukidi vayi wilukidi diaka mutu wowo wuthuma.
Then Jesus said with a loud voice, He who has faith in me, has faith not in me, but in him who sent me.
45 Woso mutu wumbueni, mueni mutu wuthuma.
And he who sees me, sees him who sent me.
46 Minu ndiyiza va nza banga kiezila mu diambu di woso mutuwukunguilukila kabika ba mu tombi.
I have come as a light into the world, so that no one who has faith in me will go on living in the dark.
47 Woso mutu wulembo wi mambu mama vayi kakadi kumasadila, ndilendi kunsambisa ko bila ndisia kuiza mu diambu di sambisa nza ko vayi ndiyiza mu diambu di vukisa nza.
And if any man gives ear to my words and does not keep them, I am not his judge: I did not come to be judge of the world but to give salvation to the world.
48 Woso wu kundoza ayi wunkamba tambula mambu mama beki zuzi diandi. Mambu momo ndituba mawu mela kunsambisa mu lumbu kitsuka.
He who puts me on one side and does not take my words to heart, is not without a judge: the word which I have said will be his judge on the last day.
49 Bila ndisia tubila mu luzolo luama veka ko vayi mu luzolo lu Dise diodi dithuma. Niandi veka wuthumina mambu momo mfueti tuba ayi buevi mfueti tubila.
For I have not said it on my authority, but the Father who sent me gave me orders what to say and how to say it.
50 Nzebi ti thumunu andi yidi luzingu lukalumani. Diawu mambu momo ndilembo tubi, ndilembo tubila mawu boso bukhambila Tata. (aiōnios g166)
And I have knowledge that his order is eternal life: so that the things which I say, I say them even as the Father says them to me. (aiōnios g166)
