< Acts 15 >

1 Ndambu yi batu baba ku Yuda, balonga bakhomba, bu batuba: —Enati lukadi zengoso nitu yi kibakala banga bu tumina Mina mi Moyize, buna lulendi vuka ko.
Then some men arrived from Judea who started teaching the believers, “Unless you're circumcised according to the rules set down by Moses, you can't be saved.”
2 Polo ayi Balinabasi baba vunisa ayi baba findisa ziphaka. Diawu babakila lukanu ti Polo ayi Balinabasi ayi ndambu yi batu mu bawu bafueti kuenda ku Yelusalemi kuidi bamvuala ayi bakulutu mu diambu di nsamu wowo.
Paul and Barnabas had many arguments and debates with them. So Paul and Barnabas and some others were appointed to go to Jerusalem and talk to the apostles and leaders there about this issue.
3 Dibundu diba sindika mu nzilꞌawu. Baviokila ku Fenisi ayi Samali. Buna basamuna phulusu yi Bapakanu; khini yiwombo bamonisa bakhomba.
The church sent them on their way, and as they traveled through Phoenicia and Samaria, they explained how foreigners were being converted, which made all the believers very happy.
4 Bu batula ku Yelusalemi, bayakulu kuidi dibundu, kuidi bamvuala ayi bakulutu ba dibundu. Bamana samuna mambu moso momo mavanga Nzambi mu nzilꞌawu.
When they arrived in Jerusalem they were welcomed by the church members, the apostles, and the elders. They explained everything God had done through them.
5 Vayi ndambu yi batu, bobo bawilukila, baba mu dikabu di Bafalisi batelama ayi batuba ti: bufueni bazengoso nitu yi kibakala ayi balandakana Mina mi Moyize.
But they were opposed by some of the believers who belonged to the Pharisee faction. They said, “These converts have to be circumcised, and instructed to observe the law of Moses.”
6 Bamvuala ayi bakulutu ba dibundu bakutakana mu diambu di yindula nsamu wowo.
The apostles and elders met together to discuss the issue.
7 Ziphaka zingolo zibua, buna Piela wutelama ayi wuba kamba: —A bakhomba! Luzebi beno veka ti tona thama, Nzambi wutsobula va khatitsikꞌeno mu diambu di longa Nsamu Wumboti kuidi Bapakanu muingi bawu bawilukila.
After much debate, Peter stood up and said to them, “Brothers, you know that some time ago God chose me from among you so that the foreigners could hear the message of good news and trust in Jesus.
8 Nzambi zebi mintima mi batu, wuba telimina kimbangi bu kaba vana Pheve Yinlongo banga bu katuvanina.
God, who knows thewhat we're thinking, has shown that he accepts them, giving them the Holy Spirit just as he did to us.
9 Niandi kasia tula kadi luviakunu ko va khatitsika beto ayi bawu bu kavedisa mintima miawu mu minu.
He doesn't make any distinction between us and them—he cleansed their thoughts as they trusted in him.
10 Vayi buabu bila mbi lueka totila Nzambi mu kuika va tsingu yi minlonguki mfuna wowo bakulu beto ayi beto veka katulendi natikisa ko e?
So why do you want to oppose God and put a burden on the believers that our fathers weren't able to bear, and we can't either?
11 Vayi beto tuwilukidi ti mu nlemvo wu Pfumu eto Yesu tuvukidi. Buawu bobo buididi kuidi bawu mamvawu.
We're convinced that we're saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, in the same way they are.”
12 Nkangu woso wuba dio sui! Bosi batu boso bawa Balinabasi ayi Polo basamuna bikumu ayi mambu manneni momo Nzambi kavanga mu bawu va khatitsika Bapakanu.
Everyone listened attentively to Barnabas and Paul as they explained the miraculous signs that God had performed through them among the foreigners.
13 Buna bamanisa, Yoluka, Zaki wuvutula: —A zinkomba ziama, bika luwa mambu ndieka tuba!
After they had finished speaking, James spoke up, saying, “Brothers, listen to me.
14 Simoni samuni buevi tona vana thonono Nzambi kabuminina Bapakanu mu diambu di sobula va khatitsikꞌawu dikanda di batu difueni muba batu bandi veka.
Simon has described how God first revealed his concern for the foreigners by taking from them a people committed to him.
15 Buawu bobo budedikinini mambu matuba mimbikudi, boso bu sonimina:
This is in accordance with the words of the prophets, as it's written,
16 Mambu momo mawu vioka, ndiela vutuka; ayi ndiela buela tunga nzo yi Davidi, yoyi yibua. Ndiela buela tunga bibuangu bioso bitiolumuka, ndiela buela bifuanisa
‘In the future I will return, and I will rebuild the fallen house of David; I will rebuild its ruins and set it straight.
17 muingi batu bobo basiala batomba Pfumu va kimosi ayi Bapakanu boso bakubuku muba batu bama. Buawu bobo butubidi Pfumu Wuvanga mambu mama
I will do this so that those who are left may come to the Lord, including the foreigners who call on my name.
18 Mazabikini mu zithangu zioso. (aiōn g165)
This is what the Lord says, who revealed these things long ago.’ (aiōn g165)
19 Diawu minu mbueni, tubika yamisa Bapakanu bobo balembo baluka kuidi Nzambi.
So my decision is that we shouldn't make it difficult for foreigners who turn to God.
20 Vayi mboti tuba sonikina, mu kuba kamba ti: babika dianga zimbizi zisumuka, zitambuku makaba kuidi bitumba, babika kitsuza ayi babika dianga bibulu biobi bifuidi mu kambu totuka menga ayi babika dianga menga.
We should write to them and tell them to avoid food sacrificed to idols, sexual immorality, meat of animals that have been strangled, and from consuming blood.
21 Bila mu zitsungi zithama, Moyize beki mu kadika divula minlongi miandi mieti tanga Mina mu bilumbu bioso bi saba mu zinzo zi zikhutukunu.
For the law of Moses has been taught in every town for a long, long time—it's read in the synagogues every Sabbath.”
22 Bosi bamvuala ayi bakulutu ba dibundu ayi badibundu boso bawizana mu sobula batu mu bawu ayi kuba fidisa ku Antioshi va kimosi ayi Polo ayi Balinabasi. Basobula Sila ayi Yuda diodi baba ntedilanga “Balisabasi” baba bakulutu va khatitsika bakhomba.
Then the apostles and elders, together with the whole church, decided it would be good to choose some representatives and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They chose Judas Barsabbas and Silas, leaders among the brothers,
23 Tala busonimina nkanda wowo babavana: —Beto bamvuala, bakulutu ba dibundu ayi bakhomba zieno, tueti vana mboti kuidi bakhomba badi mu makanda ma Bapakanu madi ku Antioshi, ku Sili ayi ku Silisi.
and sent them with this letter: “Greetings from us, the apostles and elders and brothers, to the non-Jewish brothers in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia:

25 Tumueni ti didi diambu dimboti, bu tumeni wizana, mu sobula batu buadi mu beto ayi kulufidisila bawu va kimosi ayi bakhomba zieto zi luzolo Balinabasi ayi Polo;
So we have agreed to choose some representatives and send them to you together with our much-loved brothers Barnabas and Paul,
26 bobo bayekula luzingu luawu mu diambu di dizina di Pfumu eto Yesu Klisto.
who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
27 Tufidisidi Yuda ayi Sila, bawu bela kulukamba mambu tulusonikini.
So we are sending to you Judas and Silas who can verbally confirm what we're saying.
28 Bila dimonikini diambu dimboti kuidi Pheve Yinlongo ayi beto mu kambu kulukuika bizitu binkaka vayi mambu mama kaka ma nfunu:
It seemed best to the Holy Spirit and to us not to place on you any heavier burden than these important requirements.

You should avoid: anything sacrificed to idols; blood; meat from strangled animals; and sexual immorality. You will do well to observe these requirements. God bless you.”
30 Bawu bu basinduku, bayenda ku Antioshi. Bakutikisa nkangu wu batu, babavana nkanda beni.
The men were sent on their way to Antioch. When they arrived they called everybody together and delivered the letter.
31 Batu bamona khini bu bamana tanga nkanda beni bila wuba bomba.
After they had read it, the people were so happy for the encouraging message.
32 Yuda ayi Sila sumbu baba mimbikudi, balonga bakhomba mu mambu mawombo ayi baba kindisa.
Judas and Silas, who were also prophets, encouraged the brothers, explaining many things, and strengthening them.
33 Bu bavuanda kuna ndambu bilumbu; bakhomba baba sindika mu ndembama kuidi bobo baba fidisa. [
After spending some time there they were sent back by the brothers with their blessing to the believers in Jerusalem.
34 Vayi Sila wuzenga mu siala ku Antioshi; Yuda wuvutuka niandi veka ku Yelusalemi.]
35 Polo ayi Balinabasi bavuanda ku Antioshi, va kimosi ayi bankaka, balonga ayi basamuna Mambu ma Pfumu.
But Paul and Barnabas stayed in Antioch, teaching and proclaiming the word of God along with many others.
36 Ndambu bilumbu bu bivioka, Polo wukamba Balinabasi: —Bika tuvutuka bumina bakhomba badi mu mavula moso momo tulonga mambu ma Pfumu muingi tutala buevi badidi.
Some time later Paul said to Barnabas, “Let's go back and visit the believers in every town where we shared the word of the Lord, and see how they're doing.”
37 Balinabasi wuzola nata Yowani, diodi baba ntedilanga Malako.
Barnabas planned to take along John Mark too.
38 Vayi Polo wumona ti buisi fuana ko mu nata mutu wowo wusia kuba tina tona ku Pamfili ayi wukambu sala yawu va kimosi.
But Paul didn't think it was a good idea to take him with them, since he'd left them in Pamphylia and hadn't continued working with them.
39 Polo ayi Balinabasi bazonza ayi bayiza vambana. Balinabasi wunata Malako, wukota mu masuwa ayi wuyenda ku Sipeli.
They had such a strong disagreement that they separated. Barnabas took Mark with him and sailed to Cyprus.
40 Polo wubonga Sila ayi bayenda bakhomba bu zimana kuba yekula mu mioko mi Pfumu.
Paul chose Silas, and as they left, the believers committed them to the grace of the Lord.
41 Wuviokila mu Sili ayi mu Silisi, wukindisa mabundu.
Paul traveled through Syria and Cilicia, encouraging the churches there.
