Giê-rê-mi-a 33

1 Trong khi Giê-rê-mi còn bị giam trong hành lang lính canh, thì có lời của Đức Giê-hô-va phán cùng người lần thứ hai rằng:

Moreover, the worde of the Lord came vnto Ieremiah the second time (while he was yet shut vp in the court of prison) saying,

2 Đức Giê-hô-va là Đấng làm nên sự nầy, Đức Giê-hô-va là Đấng tạo và lập sự nầy, danh Ngài là Giê-hô-va, phán như vầy:

Thus sayth the Lord, the maker thereof, the Lord that formed it, and established it, the Lord is his Name.

3 Hãy kêu cầu ta, ta sẽ trả lời cho; ta sẽ tỏ cho ngươi những việc lớn và khó, là những việc ngươi chưa từng biết.

Call vnto me, and I will answere thee, and shewe thee great and mightie things, which thou knowest not.

4 Về nhà cửa của thành nầy và cung điện của vua Giu-đa, mà người ta đã phá đi để ngự lại đồn lũy và gươm dao của giặc, thì Giê-hô-va, Đức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên, phán như vầy:

For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, concerning the houses of this citie, and concerning the houses of the Kings of Iudah, which are destroyed by the mounts, and by the sword,

5 Khi đi đánh cùng người Canh-đê, nhà cửa nầy sẽ đầy dẫy xác chết của những người mà ta đã giết trong cơn giận và thạnh nộ của ta; ấy là vì cớ dân nầy hung ác mà ta đã lánh mặt khỏi thành đó.

They come to fight with the Caldeans, but it is to fill themselues with the dead bodies of men, whome I haue slaine in mine anger and in my wrath: for I haue hid my face from this citie, because of all their wickednes.

6 Nầy, ta sẽ ban sức mạnh cho nó, và chữa lành; ta sẽ chữa lành chúng nó, sẽ tỏ cho chúng nó thấy dư dật sự bình an và lẽ thật.

Behold, I will giue it health and amendment: for I wil cure them, and will reueile vnto them the abundance of peace, and trueth.

7 Ta sẽ khiến những phu tù Giu-đa và phu tù Y-sơ-ra-ên trở về; gây dựng lại chúng nó như hồi trước.

And I wil cause the captiuitie of Iudah and the captiuitie of Israel to returne, and will build them as at the first.

8 Ta sẽ làm cho sạch mọi sự gian ác chúng nó đã phạm nghịch cùng ta; ta sẽ tha mọi sự gian ác chúng nó đã phạm nghịch cùng ta, và đã phạm pháp nghịch cùng ta.

And I wil clense them from all their iniquitie, whereby they haue sinned against me: yea, I wil pardon all their iniquities, whereby they haue sinned against me, and whereby they haue rebelled against me.

9 Thành nầy sẽ có danh vui vẻ, ngợi khen, vinh hiển cho ta ở trước mặt mọi dân thiên hạ; họ sẽ nghe mọi sự lành ta làm cho chúng nó, thì đều sợ hãi và run rẩy về mọi phước lành cùng mọi sự bình an mà ta sẽ ban cho chúng nó.

And it shalbe to me a name, a ioy, a praise, and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall heare all ye good that I doe vnto them: and they shall feare and tremble for all the goodnes, and for all the wealth, that I shew vnto this citie.

10 Đức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Trong chốn nầy là nơi các ngươi nói: Aáy là một nơi hoang vu; không còn có loài người, cũng không có loài thú; trong các thành của Giu-đa và các đường phố Giê-ru-sa-lem, tức những nơi đã bị hoang vu, không người, không dân ở, cũng không loài thú,

Thus sayth the Lord, Againe there shalbe heard in this place (which ye say shalbe desolate, without man, and without beast, euen in the cities of Iudah, and in the streetes of Ierusalem, that are desolate without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast)

11 thì người ta sẽ còn nghe tiếng kêu vui và reo mừng, tiếng của rể mới và dâu mới, tiếng của những kẻ nói rằng: Hãy cảm tạ Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân, vì Đức Giê-hô-va là nhân lành, sự nhân từ của Ngài còn đời đời! và của những kẻ đến dân của lễ tạ ơn trong nhà Đức Giê-hô-va. Vì ta sẽ khiến những phu tù của đất nầy trở về, làm cho như trước, Đức Giê-hô-va đã phán.

The voyce of ioy and the voyce of gladnes, the voyce of the bridegrome, and the voyce of the bride, the voyce of them that shall say, Prayse the Lord of hostes, because the Lord is good: for his mercy endureth for euer, and of them that offer the sacrifice of prayse in the House of the Lord, for I will cause to returne the captiuitie of the land, as at the first, sayth the Lord.

12 Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân phán như vầy: Trong chỗ nầy là chỗ bị hoang vu, không có loài người nữa, cũng không có loài thú, và trong mọi thành nó, lại sẽ có những gia cư của kẻ chăn chiên khiến bầy mình nằm nghỉ.

Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Againe in this place, which is desolate, without man, and without beast, and in all the cities thereof there shall be dwelling for shepheards to rest their flockes.

13 Trong những thành miền núi và những thành đồng bằng, trong những thành phương nam, trong đất Bên-gia-min, trong các nơi chung quanh Giê-ru-sa-lem và trong các thành Giu-đa, những bầy sẽ lại qua dưới tay kẻ đếm, Đức Giê-hô-va phán vậy.

In the cities of the mountaines, in the cities in the plaine, and in the cities of the South, and in the land of Beniamin, and about Ierusalem, and in the cities of Iudah shall the sheepe passe againe, vnder the hand of him that telleth them, sayth the Lord.

14 Đức Giê-hô-va lại phán: Nầy, những ngày đến, bấy giờ ta sẽ làm ứng nghiệm lời tốt lành mà ta đã phán về nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên và nhà Giu-đa.

Beholde, the dayes come, sayth the Lord, that I wil performe that good thing, which I haue promised vnto the house of Israel, and to the house of Iudah.

15 Trong những ngày ấy và kỳ đó ta sẽ khiến nẩy lên một Nhánh của sự công bình cho Đa-vít; Đấng ấy sẽ làm ra sự công bình chánh trực trong đất nầy.

In those dayes and at that time, wil I cause the branch of righteousnesse to growe vp vnto Dauid, and he shall execute iudgement, and righteousnes in the land.

16 Trong những ngày đó, Giu-đa sẽ được cứu; Giê-ru-sa-lem sẽ ở an ổn; danh nó sẽ được xưng rằng: Đức Giê-hô-va, sự công bình chúng ta.

In those dayes shall Iudah be saued, and Ierusalem shall dwell safely, and hee that shall call her, is the Lord our righteousnesse.

17 Vả, Đức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Đa-vít sẽ chẳng thiếu một người nam để ngồi trên ngai nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên;

For thus sayth the Lord, Dauid shall neuer want a man to sit vpon the throne of the house of Israel.

18 các thầy tế lễ, tức là người Lê-vi, sẽ cũng không thiếu một người trước mặt ta để dâng của lễ thiêu, đốt của lễ chay, và dâng của lễ hằng ngày.

Neither shall the Priests and Leuites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to offer meat offerings, and to doe sacrifice continually.

19 Có lời Đức Giê-hô-va lại phán cho Giê-rê-mi rằng:

And the worde of the Lord came vnto Ieremiah, saying,

20 Đức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Nếu các ngươi có thể phá giao ước ban ngày của ta và giao ước ban đêm của ta, đến nỗi chẳng có ngày và đêm trong kỳ nó nữa,

Thus sayth the Lord, If you can breake my couenant of the day, and my couenant of the night, that there should not be day, and night in their season,

21 thì mới có thể phá giao ước của ta với Đa-vít, tôi tớ ta, mà người sẽ không có con cháu trị vì trên ngai mình nữa, và phá giao ước ta với các thầy tế lễ, tức người Lê-vi, kẻ hầu việc ta.

Then may my couenant be broken with Dauid my seruant, that he should not haue a sonne to reigne vpon his throne, and with the Leuites, and Priests my ministers.

22 Người ta không thể đếm được cơ binh trên trời, và lường cát dưới biển: ta cũng sẽ ban cho Đa-vít, tôi tớ ta, và cho người Lê-vi hầu việc ta, được dòng dõi đông nhiều như vậy.

As the army of heauen can not be nombred, neither the sand of the sea measured: so wil I multiplie the seede of Dauid my seruant, and the Leuites, that minister vnto me.

23 Có lời của Đức Giê-hô-va lại phán cho Giê-rê-mi như vầy:

Moreouer, the worde of the Lord came to Ieremiah, saying,

24 Ngươi há chẳng xét dân nầy nói hay sao? Chúng nó nói: Hai họ mà Đức Giê-hô-va đã kén chọn, thì Ngài bỏ rồi. Như vậy, chúng nó khinh dể dân ta, coi dân nầy chẳng thành một nước nữa!

Considerest thou not what this people haue spoken, saying, The two families, which the Lord hath chosen, hee hath euen cast them off? thus they haue despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.

25 Nhưng, nầy là lời Đức Giê-hô-va phán: Nếu giao ước của ta về ngày và đêm chẳng đứng, và nếu ta đã chẳng định luật phép cho trời và đất,

Thus sayth the Lord, If my couenant be not with day and night, and if I haue not appointed the order of heauen and earth,

26 thì cũng vậy, ta sẽ bỏ dòng dõi của Gia-cốp và dòng dõi của Đa-vít, tôi tớ ta, đến nỗi ta sẽ chẳng lấy trong vòng dòng dõi người những kẻ cai trị dòng dõi của Aùp-ra-ham, của Y-sác, và của Gia-cốp. Vì ta sẽ đem những phu tù trở về, và thương xót chúng nó.

Then will I cast away the seede of Iaakob and Dauid my seruant, and not take of his seede to be rulers ouer the seede of Abraham, Izhak, and Iaakob: for I wil cause their captiuitie to returne, and haue compassion on them.
