Phục Truyền Luật Lệ 15

1 Cuối mỗi năm thứ bảy, ngươi phải làm năm giải thích.

At the terme of seuen yeeres thou shalt make a freedome.

2 Nầy là lệ của sự giải thích. Phàm chủ nợ phải giải thích món vay mà mình đã chịu cho kẻ lân cận mình vay: ngươi chớ thúc kẻ lân cận mình hay là anh em mình trả lại, vì người ta đã cao rao năm giải thích cho Đức Giê-hô-va.

And this is the maner of the freedome: euery creditour shall quite ye lone of his hand which he hath lent to his neighbour: he shall not aske it againe of his neighbour, nor of his brother: for the yeere of the Lords freedome is proclaimed.

3 Ngươi được thúc người ngoại bang trả lại; song ví anh em ngươi có vật chi thuộc về mình, thì phải tha vật ấy cho người.

Of a stranger thou mayest require it: but that which thou hast with thy brother, thine hand shall remit:

4 Nhưng nơi ngươi chẳng nên có kẻ nghèo nàn, vì Đức Giê-hô-va quả hẳn ban phước cho ngươi trong xứ mà Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời ngươi ban cho ngươi nhận lấy làm sản nghiệp,

Saue when there shall be no poore with thee: for the Lord shall blesse thee in the land, which the Lord thy God giueth thee, for an inheritance to possesse it:

5 miễn ngươi chăm chỉ nghe theo tiếng của Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời ngươi, cẩn thận làm theo các điều răn mà ta truyền cho ngươi ngày nay.

So that thou hearken vnto the voyce of the Lord thy God to obserue and doe all these commandements, which I commande thee this day.

6 Vì Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời ngươi sẽ ban phước cho ngươi, y như Ngài đã phán; ngươi sẽ cho nhiều nước vay, còn chính ngươi không vay ai; ngươi sẽ quản hạt nhiều nước, song các nước ấy sẽ chẳng quản hạt ngươi.

For the Lord thy God hath blessed thee, as he hath promised thee: and thou shalt lend vnto many nations, but thou thy selfe shalt not borow, and thou shalt reigne ouer many nations, and they shall not reigne ouer thee.

7 Nếu trong thành nào của xứ mà Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời ngươi ban cho, ở giữa ngươi có một người anh em bị nghèo, thì chớ cứng lòng nắm tay lại trước mặt anh em nghèo của mình đó.

If one of thy brethren with thee be poore within any of thy gates in thy land, which the Lord thy God giueth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poore brother:

8 Nhưng khá sè tay mình ra, cho người vay món chi cần dùng trong sự nghèo nàn của người.

But thou shalt open thine hand vnto him, and shalt lend him sufficient for his neede which he hath.

9 Khá coi chừng, kẻo có một ác tưởng nơi lòng ngươi, rằng: Năm thứ bảy tức là năm giải thích, hầu gần! Khá coi chừng kẻo mắt ngươi chẳng đoái thương anh em nghèo của mình, không giúp cho người gì hết, e người kêu cùng Đức Giê-hô-va về ngươi, và ngươi sẽ mắc tội chăng.

Beware that there be not a wicked thought in thine heart, to say, The seuenth yeere, the yeere of freedome is at hand: therefore it grieueth thee to looke on thy poore brother, and thou giuest him nought, and he crie vnto the Lord against thee, so that sinne be in thee:

10 Ngươi phải giúp cho người, chớ cho mà có lòng tiếc; vì tại cớ ấy, Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời ngươi sẽ ban phước cho mọi công việc của ngươi, và mọi điều ngươi đặt tay vào mà làm.

Thou shalt giue him, and let it not grieue thine heart to giue vnto him: for because of this the Lord thy God shall blesse thee in al thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand to.

11 Vì sẽ có kẻ nghèo trong xứ luôn luôn, nên ta mới dặn biểu ngươi mà rằng: Khá sè tay mình ra cho anh em bị âu lo và nghèo khó ở trong xứ ngươi.

Because there shall be euer some poore in the land, therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand vnto thy brother, to thy needie, and to thy poore in thy land.

12 Khi một trong các anh em ngươi, là người Hê-bơ-rơ, bất luận nam hay nữ, bị bán cho ngươi, thì sẽ hầu việc ngươi trong sáu năm, song qua năm thứ bảy, ngươi phải giải phóng người.

If thy brother an Ebrewe sell himselfe to thee, or an Ebrewesse, and serue thee sixe yeere, euen in the seuenth yeere thou shalt let him goe free from thee:

13 Khi ngươi giải phóng người, chớ cho người đi ra tay không.

And when thou sendest him out free from thee, thou shalt not let him goe away emptie,

14 Phải cấp cho người một vật chi, hoặc trong bầy mình, hoặc của sân đạp lúa mình, hoặc của hầm rượu mình, tức là cấp cho người vật bởi trong của cải mà Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời ngươi đã ban phước cho ngươi.

But shalt giue him a liberall reward of thy sheepe, and of thy corne, and of thy wine: thou shalt giue him of that wherewith the Lord thy God hath blessed thee.

15 Hãy nhớ rằng mình đã làm tôi mọi trong xứ Ê-díp-tô, và Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời ngươi đã chuộc ngươi; bởi cớ ấy, ngày nay ta truyền cho ngươi làm các điều nầy.

And remember that thou wast a seruant in the land of Egypt, and the Lord thy God deliuered thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day.

16 Nhưng nếu kẻ tôi mọi ngươi nói rằng: Tôi không muốn đi ra khỏi nhà chủ, vì nó mến ngươi và gia quyến ngươi, lấy làm thỏa lòng phục dịch ngươi,

And if he say vnto thee, I will not go away from thee, because he loueth thee and thine house, and because he is well with thee,

17 thì bấy giờ, ngươi phải lấy một cái dùi, để tai người kề cửa mà xỏ, vậy người sẽ làm tôi tớ ngươi luôn luôn. Ngươi cũng phải làm như vậy cho tớ gái mình.

Then shalt thou take a naule, and perce his eare through against the doore, and he shall be thy seruant for euer: and vnto thy maid seruant thou shall doe likewise.

18 Ngươi chớ có nặng lòng mà giải phóng người, vì người đã phục dịch ngươi sáu năm, ăn phân nửa công giá của một người làm mướn; vậy Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời ngươi sẽ ban phước cho ngươi trong mọi công việc ngươi làm.

Let it not grieue thee, when thou lettest him goe out free from thee: for he hath serued thee sixe yeeres, which is the double worth of an hired seruant: and the Lord thy God shall blesse thee in all that thou doest.

19 Ngươi phải biệt riêng ra thánh cho Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời ngươi mọi con đầu lòng đực sanh trong bầy bò hay chiên của ngươi. Chớ cày bằng con đầu lòng của bò cái mình, và chớ hớt lông con đầu lòng của chiên cái mình.

All the first borne males that come of thy cattell, and of thy sheepe, thou shalt sanctifie vnto the Lord thy God. Thou shalt do no worke with thy first borne bullocke, nor sheare thy first borne sheepe.

20 Mỗi năm, ngươi và gia quyến ngươi sẽ ăn nó trước mặt Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời ngươi, tại nơi mà Ngài sẽ chọn.

Thou shalt eate it before the Lord thy God yeere by yeere, in the place which the Lord shall chose, both thou, and thine household.

21 Nhưng nếu nó có tì vít chi, què hay đui, hoặc bị tật nặng khác, thì chớ dâng nó cho Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời ngươi,

But if there be any blemish therein, as if it be lame, or blind, or haue any euill fault, thou shalt not offer it vnto the Lord thy God,

22 phải ăn nó trong thành mình: kẻ bị ô uế, và kẻ được sạch cũng đều được ăn hết, như ăn con hoàng dương hay là con nai đực.

But shalt eate it within thy gates: the vncleane, and the cleane shall eate it alike, as the roe bucke, and as the hart.

23 Chỉn ngươi chớ ăn huyết nó; phải đổ huyết trên đất như nước vậy.

Onely thou shalt not eate the blood thereof, but powre it vpon the ground as water.
