1 A-đam sanh Sết, Sết sanh Ê-nót;

Adam, Sheth, Enosh,

2 Ê-nót sanh Kê-nan, Kê-nan sanh Ma-ha-la-le, Ma-ha-la-le sanh Giê-rệt;

Kenan, Mahalaleel, Iered,

3 Giê-rệt sanh Hê-nóc, Hê-nóc sanh Mê-tu-sê-la, Mê-tu-sê-la sanh Lê-méc;

Henoch, Methushelah, Lamech,

4 Lê-méc sanh Nô-ê, Nô-ê sanh Sem, Cham và Gia-phết.

Noah, She, Ham, and Iapheth.

5 Con trai Gia-phết là Gô-me, Ma-gốc, Ma-đai, Gia-van, Tu-banh, Mê-siếc, và Ti-ra.

The sonnes of Iapheth were Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Iauan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

6 Con trai của Gô-me là Aùch-kê-na, Đi-phát, và Tô-ga-ma.

And the sonnes of Gomer, Ashchenaz, and Iphath and Togarmah.

7 Con trai của Gia-van là Ê-li-sa, Ta-rê-si, Kít-tim, và Rô-đa-nim.

Also the sonnes of Iauan, Elishah and Tarshishah, Kittim, and Dodanim.

8 Con trai của Cham là Cúc, Mích-ra-im, Phút, và Ca-na-an.

The sonnes of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, Put and Canaan.

9 Con trai của Cúc là Sê-ba, Ha-vi-la, Sáp-ta, Ra-ê-ma và Sáp-tê-ca. Con trai của Ra-ê-ma là Sê-ba, và Đê-đan.

And the sonnes of Cush, Siba and Hauilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. Also the sonnes of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.

10 Cúc sinh Nim-rốt; người khởi đầu làm anh hùng trên mặt đất.

And Cush begate Nimrod, who began to be mightie in the earth.

11 Mích-ra-im sinh họ Lu-đim, họ A-na-min, họ Lê-ha-bim, họ Náp-tu-him,

And Mizraim begate Ludim and Anamim, Lehabim, and Naphtuhim:

12 họ Phát-ru-sim, họ Cách-lu-him, bởi đó sanh ra họ Phi-li-tin, và họ Cáp-tô-rim.

Pathrusim also, and Casluhim, of whome came the Philistims, and Caphtorim.

13 Ca-na-an sanh ra Si-đôn, là trưởng nam, và Hếch,

Also Canaan begate Zidon his first borne, and Heth,

And the Iebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,

And the Hiuuite, and the Arkite, and the Simite,

16 họ A-va-đít, họ Xê-ma-rít, và họ Ha-ma-tít.

And the Aruadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.

17 Con trai của Sem là Ê-lam, A-su-rơ, A-bác-sát, Lút, A-ram, Uùt-xơ, Hu-lơ, Ghê-te, và Mê-siếc.

The sonnes of Shem were Elam and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram, and Vz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.

18 A-bác-sát sanh Sê-lách; Sê-lách sanh Hê-be.

Also Arpachshad begate Shelah, and Shelah begate Eber.

19 Hê-be sanh được hai con trai: một con kêu tên là Bê-lét; bởi vì trong đời người đó đất đã chia ra; còn tên của người em là Giốc-tan.

Vnto Eber also were borne two sonnes: the name of the one was Peleg: for in his dayes was ye earth deuided: and his brothers name was Ioktan.

20 Giốc-tan sanh A-mô-đát, Sê-lép, Ha-sa-ma-vết, Giê-rách,

Then Ioktan begate Almodad and Sheleph, and Hazermaueth and Ierah,

21 Ha-đô-ram, U-xa, Điếc-la,

And Hadoram and Vzal and Diklah,

22 Ê-banh, A-bi-ma-ên, Sê-ba,

And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,

23 Ô-phia, Ha-vi-la, và Giô-báp. Hết thảy những người đó đều là con trai của Giốc-tan.

And Ophir, and Hauilah and Iobab: all these were the sonnes of Ioktan.

24 Sem sanh A-bác-sát, A-bác-sát sanh Sê-lách,

Shem, Arpachshad, Shelah,

25 Sê-lách sanh Hê-be, Hê-be sanh Bê-léc, Bê-léc sanh Rê-hu,

Eber, Peleg, Rehu,

26 Rê-hu sanh Sê-rúc, Sê-rúc sanh Na-cô, Na-cô sanh Tha-rê,

Serug, Nahor, Terah,

27 Tha-rê sanh Aùp-ram, cũng gọi là Aùp-ra-ham.

Abram, which is Abraham.

28 Con trai của Aùp-ra-ham là Y-sác và ỗch-ma-ên.

The sonnes of Abraham were Izhak, and Ishmael.

These are their generations. The eldest sonne of Ishmael was Nebaioth, and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

And Keturah Abrahams concubine bare sonnes, Zimran, and Iokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah: and the sonnes of Iokshan, Sheba, and Dedan.

33 Con trai của Ma-đi-an là Ê-pha, Ê-phe, Ha-nóc, A-bi-đa, và Eân-đa. Những người ấy đều là con cháu của Kê-tu-ra.

And the sonnes of Midian were Ephah, and Ephar, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah: All these are the sonnes of Keturah.

34 Aùp-ra-ham sanh ra Y-sác. Con trai của Y-sác là Ê-sau và Y-sơ-ra-ên.

And Abraham begate Izhak: the sonnes of Izhak, Esau, and Israel.

35 con trai của Ê-sau là Ê-li-pha, Rê-u-ên, Giê-úc, Gia-lam, và Cô-ra.

The sonnes of Esau were Eliphaz, Reuel, and Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah.

36 con trai của Ê-li-pha là Thê-man, Ô-ma, Xê-phi, Ga-tham, Kê-na, Thim-na, và A-ma-léc.

The sonnes of Eliphaz, Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.

37 Con trai của Rê-u-ên là Na-hát, Xê-rách, Sam-ma, và Mích-xa.

The sonnes of Reuel, Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah.

38 Con trai của Sê-i-rơ là Lô-than, Sô-banh, Xi-bê-ôn, A-na, Đi-sôn, Eùt-xe, và Đi-san.

And the sonnes of Seir, Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.

39 Con trai của Lô-than là Hô-ri và Hô-man; còn Thim-na là em gái Lô-than.

And the sonnes of Lotan, Hori, and Homam, and Timna Lotans sister.

40 Con trai của Sô-banh là A-li-an, Ma-na-hát, Ê-banh, Sê-phi, và Ô-nam. con trai của Xi-bê-ôn là Ai-gia và A-na.

The sonnes of Shobal were Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sonnes of Zibeon, Aiah and Anah.

41 Con trai của A-na là Đi-sôn. con trai của Đi-sôn là Ham-ran, Eách-ban, Dít-ran, và Kê-ran.

The sonne of Anah was Dishon. And the sonnes of Dishon, Amran, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.

42 Con trai của Eùt-xe là Binh-han, Xa-van, và Gia-a-can. con trai của Đi-san là Uùt-xơ, và A-ran.

The sonnes of Ezer were Bilhan, and Zaauan, and Iaakan. The sonnes of Dishon were Vz, and Aran.

And these were the Kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before a King reigned ouer the children of Israel, to wit, Bela the sonne of Beor, and the name of his citie was Dinhabah.

Then Bela died, and Iobab the sonne of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.

45 Vua Giô-háp băng, Hu-sam, người xứ Thê-man, kế vị.

And whe Iobab was dead, Hussham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.

46 Vua Hu-sam băng, Ha-đát, con trai Bê-đát, kế vị; chính vua nầy đánh được dân Ma-đi-an tại đồng Mô-áp; tên bản thành là A-vít.

And when Hussham was dead, Hadad the sonne of Bedad which smote Midian in the fielde of Moab, reigned in his steade, and the name of his citie was Auith.

47 Vua Ha-đát băng, Sam-la người Ma-rê-ca, kế vị.

So Hadad dyed, and Samlah of Mashrecah reigned in his stead.

48 Vua Sam-la băng, Sau-lơ, người Rê-hô-bốt ở trên bờ sông, kế vị.

And Samlah dyed, and Shaul of Rehoboth by the riuer reigned in his stead.

49 Vua Sau-lơ băng, Ba-anh-Ha-nan, con trai Aïc-bồ, kế vị.

And when Shaul was dead, Baal-hanan the sonne of Achbor reigned in his stead.

50 Vua Ba-anh-Ha-nan băng, Ha-đát kế vị; tên bản thành là Pha-i; còn vợ người tên là Mê-hê-ta-bê-ên, con gái của Mát-rết, cháu ngoại Mê-xa-háp.

And Baal-hanan dyed, and Hadad reigned in his stead, and the name of his citie was Pai, and his wiues name Mehetabel the daughter of Matred the daughter of Mezahab.

51 Vua Ha-đát băng. Các trưởng tộc xứ Ê-đôm là: trưởng tộc Thim-na, trưởng tộc A-li-a; trưởng tộc Giê-tết,

Hadad dyed also, and there were dukes in Edom, duke Timna, duke Aliah, duke Ietheth,

52 trưởng tộc Ô-hô-li-ba-ma, trưởng tộc Ê-la, trưởng tộc Phi-nôn,

Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,

53 trưởng tộc Kê-na, trưởng tộc Thê-man, trưởng tộc Mép-xa,

Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,

54 trưởng tộc Mác-đi-ên, và trưởng tộc Y-ram. Đó là các trưởng tộc của Ê-đôm.

Duke Magdiel, duke Iram: these were the dukes of Edom.
