Thánh Thi 1

1 Phước cho người nào chẳng theo mưu kế của kẻ dữ, Chẳng đứng trong đường tội nhơn, Không ngồi chỗ của kẻ nhạo báng;

Blessed is the man who hath not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the chair of pestilence.

2 Song lấy làm vui vẻ về luật pháp của Ðức Giê-hô-va, Và suy gẫm luật pháp ấy ngày và đêm.

But his will is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he shall meditate day and night.

3 Người ấy sẽ như cây trồng gần dòng nước, Sanh bông trái theo thì tiết, Lá nó cũng chẳng tàn héo; Mọi sự người làm đều sẽ thạnh vượng.

And he shall be like a tree which is planted near the running waters, which shall bring forth its fruit, in due season. And his leaf shall not fall off: and all whatsoever he shall do shall prosper.

4 Kẻ ác chẳng như vậy đâu; Nhưng chúng nó khác nào rơm rác gió thổi bay đi.

Not so the wicked, not so: but like the dust, which the wind driveth from the face of the earth.

5 Bởi cớ ấy kẻ ác chẳng đứng nổi trong ngày đoán xét, Tội nhơn cũng không được vào hội người công bình.

Therefore the wicked shall not rise again in judgment: nor sinners in the council of the just.

6 Vì Ðức Giê-hô-va biết đường người công bình, Song đường kẻ ác rồi bị diệt vong.

For the Lord knoweth the way of the just: and the way of the wicked shall perish.
