Dân Số 35

1 Ðức Giê-hô-va phán cùng Môi-se trong đồng Mô-áp, gần sông Giô-đanh, đối ngang Giê-ri-cô, mà rằng:

And he spoke Yahweh to Moses in [the] plains of Moab at [the] Jordan of Jericho saying.

2 Hãy biểu dân Y-sơ-ra-ên do trong phần sản nghiệp mình đã có, nhường những thành cho người Lê-vi đặng ở; cho luôn một miếng đất ở chung quanh các thành đó.

Command [the] people of Israel and they will give to the Levites some of [the] inheritance of possession their cities to dwell in and pasture land for the cities around them you will give to the Levites.

3 Người Lê-vi sẽ có những thành đặng ở; còn đất chung quanh các thành nầy sẽ dùng cho súc vật, cho sản vật, và cho hết thảy thú vật của họ.

And they will belong the cities to them to dwell in and pasture lands their they will be for cattle their and for property their and for every animal their.

4 Ðất chung quanh thành mà các ngươi nhường cho người Lê-vi sẽ là một ngàn thước chu vi, kể từ vách thành và ở ngoài.

And [the] pasture lands of the cities which you will give to the Levites [will be] from [the] wall of the city and [the] outside towards one thousand cubit[s] all around.

5 Vậy các ngươi phải đo, phía ngoài thành về hướng đông hai ngàn thước, về hướng nam hai ngàn thước, về hướng tây hai ngàn thước, và về hướng bắc hai ngàn thước; cái thành sẽ ở chính giữa. Ðó sẽ là đất của những thành người Lê-vi.

And you will measure from [the] outside of the city [the] side of east-ward two thousand by the cubit and [the] side of [the] south two thousand by the cubit and [the] side of [the] west - two thousand by the cubit and [the] side of [the] north two thousand by the cubit and the city [will be] in the middle this it will belong to them [the] pasture lands of the cities.

6 Trong số thành các ngươi sẽ nhường cho người Lê-vi, sẽ có sáu cái thành ẩn náu mà các ngươi phải chỉ cho, để kẻ sát nhơn trốn tránh tại đó; ngoài sáu thành đó, các ngươi phải nhường cho người Lê-vi bốn mươi hai cái thành.

And the cities which you will give to the Levites [the] six [the] cities of refuge which you will give to flee there towards the killer and to them you will give forty and two citi[es].

7 Hết thảy thành các ngươi sẽ nhường cho người Lê-vi luôn với đất, số là bốn mươi tám cái.

All the cities which you will give to the Levites [will be] forty and eight citi[es] them and pasture lands their.

8 Về những thành do trong sản nghiệp của dân Y-sơ-ra-ên mà các ngươi sẽ nhường cho người Lê-vi phải lấy bớt nhiều hơn của chi phái có nhiều, và lấy bớt ít hơn của chi phái có ít; mỗi chi phái nhường cho người Lê-vi những thành cân phân theo sản nghiệp của mình sẽ được.

And the cities which you will give from [the] possession of [the] people of Israel from with the many you will increase and from with the few you will decrease each one according to [the] mouth of inheritance its which they will inherit it will give some of cities its to the Levites.

9 Ðoạn, Ðức Giê-hô-va phán cùng Môi-se rằng:

And he spoke Yahweh to Moses saying.

10 Hãy nói cùng dân Y-sơ-ra-ên rằng: Khi nào các ngươi đã đi qua sông Giô-đanh đặng vào xứ Ca-na-an,

Speak to [the] people of Israel and you will say to them if you [are] about to pass over the Jordan [the] land of towards Canaan.

11 thì phải lựa những thành dùng làm thành ẩn náu cho mình, là nơi kẻ sát nhơn, vì vô ý đánh chết ai, chạy ẩn náu mình được.

And you will make happen to yourselves cities cities of refuge they will be for you and he will flee there towards a killer [who] has struck down a person by inadvertence.

12 Những thành đó sẽ dùng làm thành ẩn náu để trốn khỏi kẻ báo thù huyết, hầu cho kẻ sát nhơn không chết cho đến chừng nào ứng hầu trước mặt hội chúng đặng chịu xét đoán.

And they will become for you the cities a refuge from an avenger and not he will die the killer until stands he before the congregation for judgment.

13 Vậy, trong những thành các ngươi nhường cho, sẽ có sáu thành ẩn náu cho các ngươi.

And the cities which you will give six cities of refuge they will be for you.

14 Các ngươi phải chỉ ba thành phía bên kia sông Giô-đanh, và lập ba thành khác trong xứ Ca-na-an; ấy sẽ là những thành ẩn náu.

- three Cities you will give from [the] other side of the Jordan and three cities you will give in [the] land of Canaan cities of refuge they will be.

15 Sáu thành nầy sẽ dùng làm chỗ ẩn náu cho dân Y-sơ-ra-ên, luôn cho khách ngoại bang và kẻ nào kiều ngụ ở trong dân đó, để ai vì vô ý đánh chết một người có thế chạy ẩn mình tại đó.

For [the] people of Israel and for the sojourner and for the resident alien in midst of them they will become [the] six the cities these a refuge to flee there towards any [one who] strikes down a person by inadvertence.

16 Nhưng nếu người ấy đánh bằng đồ sắt, và người bị đánh chết đi, ấy là một kẻ sát nhơn; kẻ sát nhơn hẳn phải bị xử tử.

And if with an instrument of iron - he struck down him and he died [is] a killer he certainly he will be put to death the killer.

17 Nếu người đánh bằng một cục đá cầm nơi tay có thế làm chết, và người bị đánh chết đi, ấy là một kẻ sát nhơn; kẻ sát nhân hẳn phải bị xử tử.

And if with a stone of hand which someone will die by it he struck down him and he died [is] a killer he certainly he will be put to death the killer.

18 Cũng vậy, nếu người đánh bằng đồ cây cầm nơi tay có thế làm chết, và người bị đánh chết đi, ấy là một kẻ sát nhơn; kẻ sát nhơn hẳn phải bị xử tử.

Or with an instrument of wood of hand which someone will die by it he struck down him and he died [is] a killer he certainly he will be put to death the killer.

19 Ấy là kẻ báo thù huyết sẽ làm cho kẻ sát nhơn phải chết; khi nào kẻ báo thù huyết gặp kẻ sát nhơn thì phải làm cho nó chết đi.

[the] avenger of Blood he he will put to death the killer when meets he him he he will put to death him.

20 Nếu một người nào vì lòng ganh ghét xô lấn một người khác, hay là cố ý liệng vật chi trên mình nó, và vì cớ đó nó bị chết;

And if in hatred he will push him or he threw on him with lying in wait and he died.

21 hoặc vì sự thù đánh bằng bàn tay, và vì cớ đó nó bị chết, thì người nào đánh đó hẳn phải bị xử tử. Ấy là một kẻ sát nhơn; người báo thù huyết khi nào gặp kẻ sát nhơn phải làm cho nó chết đi.

Or in enmity he struck down him with hand his and he died certainly he will be put to death the [one who] struck [is] a killer he [the] avenger of blood he will put to death the killer when meets he him.

22 Nếu vì tình cờ, vẫn hòa thuận nhau, mà người có lấn xô, hoặc liệng vật chi trên mình người kia,

And if in an instant with not enmity he pushed him or he threw on him any weapon with not lying in wait.

23 hoặc nếu không phải thù nghịch chẳng có ý làm hại, lại không thấy mà làm rớt một cục đá trên mình người kia, có thế làm chết được, và nếu người chết đi,

Or with any stone which someone will die by it with not seeing [him] and he made [it] fall on him and he died and he not [was] an enemy of him and not [was] seeking harm his.

24 thì cứ theo luật lệ nầy, hội chúng phải xử đoán cho kẻ đã đánh và kẻ báo thù huyết:

And they will judge the congregation between the [one who] struck and between [the] avenger of blood on the judgments these.

25 hội chúng sẽ giải cứu kẻ sát nhơn khỏi tay người báo thù huyết, và biểu người trở về thành ẩn náu, là nơi người đã chạy ẩn mình; và người phải ở đó cho đến chừng nào thầy tế lễ thượng phẩm đã được xức dầu thánh qua đời.

And they will deliver the congregation the killer from [the] hand of [the] avenger of blood and they will return him the congregation to [the] city of refuge his where he had fled there towards and he will dwell in it until [the] death of the priest great whom someone had anointed him with [the] oil of holiness.

26 Nhưng nếu kẻ sát nhơn đi ra ngoài giới hạn của thành ẩn náu, là nơi người đã chạy ẩn mình,

And if ever he will go out the killer [the] border of [the] city of refuge his where he will flee there towards.

27 và nếu kẻ báo thù huyết gặp, giết người ở ngoài giới hạn thành ẩn náu, thì kẻ báo thù huyết sẽ không mắc tội sát nhơn.

And he will find him [the] avenger of blood from [the] outside of [the] border of [the] city of refuge his and he will kill [the] avenger of blood the killer not [will belong] to him blood.

28 Vì kẻ sát nhơn phải ở trong thành ẩn náu cho đến chừng nào thầy tế lễ thượng phẩm qua đời, kẻ sát nhơn sẽ được trở về trong sản nghiệp mình.

For in [the] city of refuge his he will remain until [the] death of the priest great and after [the] death of the priest great he will return the killer to [the] land of possession his.

29 Bất luận các ngươi ở nơi nào, điều nầy phải dùng làm một luật lệ xét đoán cho các ngươi trải qua các đời.

And they will become these [things] for you a statute of judgment to generations your in all dwelling places your.

30 Nếu ai giết một người nào, người ta sẽ cứ theo lời khai của những người chứng mà giết kẻ sát nhơn; nhưng một người chứng không đủ cớ đặng giết ai.

Any [one who] strikes down a person to [the] mouth of witnesses someone will kill the killer and a witness one not he will testify against anyone to die.

31 Các ngươi chớ lãnh tiền chuộc mạng của một người sát nhơn đã có tội và đáng chết, vì nó hẳn phải bị xử tử.

And not you will take a ransom for [the] life of a killer who he [is] guilty to die for certainly he will be put to death.

32 Các ngươi đừng lãnh tiền chuộc kẻ đã chạy ẩn mình trong thành ẩn náu, hầu cho nó trở về ở trong xứ sau khi thầy tế lễ qua đời.

And not you will take a ransom to flee to [the] city of refuge his to return to dwell in the land until [the] death of the priest.

33 Các ngươi chớ làm ô uế xứ mà các ngươi sẽ ở; vì huyết làm ô uế xứ. Nhược bằng có kẻ làm đổ huyết ra trong xứ, nếu không làm đổ huyết nó lại, thì không thế chuộc tội cho xứ được.

And not you will pollute the land which you [are] in it for blood it it pollutes the land and for the land not it will be atoned to the blood which it was shed in it that except by [the] blood of [the] [one who] shed it.

34 Vậy, các ngươi chớ làm ô uế xứ, là nơi các ngươi sẽ ở, và chánh giữa đó là nơi ta sẽ ngự; vì ta là Ðức Giê-hô-va ngự giữa dân Y-sơ-ra-ên.

And not you will make unclean the land which you [are] dwelling in it which I [am] dwelling in [the] midst of it for I Yahweh [am] dwelling in among [the] people of Israel.
