Giăng 21
1 Rồi đó, Ðức Chúa Jêsus lại hiện ra cùng môn đồ nơi gần biển Ti-bê-ri-át. Việc Ngài hiện ra như vầy:
After these things Jesus manifested himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and he manifested [himself] on this wise.
2 Si-môn Phi -e-rơ, Thô-ma gọi là Ði-đim, Na-tha-na-ên nguyên ở thành Ca-na trong xứ Ga-li-lê các con trai của Xê-bê-đê và hai người môn đồ khác nữa nhóm lại cùng nhau.
There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the [sons] of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.
3 Si-môn Phi -e-rơ nói rằng: Tôi đi đánh cá. Các người kia trả lời rằng: Chúng tôi đi với anh. Các ngươi ấy ra đi xuống thuyền, nhưng trong đêm đó, chẳng được chi hết.
Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also come with thee. They went forth, and entered into the boat; and that night they took nothing.
4 Ðến sáng, Ðức Chúa Jêsus đứng trên bờ, nhưng môn đồ không biết đó là Ðức Chúa Jêsus.
But when day was now breaking, Jesus stood on the beach: yet the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.
5 Ðức Chúa Jêsus phán rằng: Hỡi các con, không có chi ăn hết sao? Thưa rằng: Không
Jesus therefore saith unto them, Children, have ye aught to eat? They answered him, No.
6 Ngài phán rằng: Hãy thả lưới bên hữu thuyền, thì các ngươi sẽ được. Vậy, các người ấy thả lưới xuống, được nhiều cá đến nổi không thể kéo lên nữa.
And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.
7 Môn đồ mà Ðức Chúa Jêsus yêu bèn nói với Phi -e-rơ rằng: Ấy là Chúa! Khi Si-môn Phi -e-rơ nghe rằng ấy là Chúa, bèn lấy áo dài quấn mình (vì đương ở trần) và nhảy xuống nước.
That disciple therefore whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his coat about him (for he was naked), and cast himself into the sea.
8 Các môn đồ khác đem thuyền trở lại, kéo tay lưới đầy cá, vì cách bờ chỉ chừng hai trăm cu-đê mà thôi.
But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from the land, but about two hundred cubits off), dragging the net [full] of fishes.
9 Lúc môn đồ đã lên bờ, thấy tại đó có lửa than, ở trên để cá, và có bánh.
So when they got out upon the land, they see a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.
10 Ðức Chúa Jêsus phán rằng: Hãy đem các ngươi mới đánh được đó lại đây.
Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now taken.
11 Si-môn Phi -e-rơ xuống thuyền, kéo tay lưới đầy một trăm năm mươi ba con cá lớn lên bờ; và, dầu nhiều cá dường ấy, lưới vẫn không đứt.
Simon Peter therefore went up, and drew the net to land, full of great fishes, a hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, the net was not rent.
12 Ðức Chúa Jêsus phán rằng: Hãy lại mà ăn. Nhưng không một người môn đồ nào dám hỏi rằng: Ngươi là ai? Vì biết quả rằng ấy là Chúa.
Jesus saith unto them, Come [and] break your fast. And none of the disciples durst inquire of him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.
13 Ðức Chúa Jêsus lại gần, lấy bánh cho môn đồ, và cho luôn cá nữa.
Jesus cometh, and taketh the bread, and giveth them, and the fish likewise.
14 Ấy là lần thứ ba mà Ðức Chúa Jêsus hiện ra cùng môn đồ Ngài, sau khi Ngài từ kẻ chết sống lại.
This is now the third time that Jesus was manifested to the disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.
15 Khi ăn rồi, Ðức Chúa Jêsus phán cùng Si-môn Phi -e-rơ rằng: Hỡi Si-môn, con Giô-na, ngươi yêu ta hơn những kẻ nầy chăng? Phi -e-rơ thưa rằng: Lạy Chúa, phải, Chúa biết rằng tôi yêu Chúa. Ðức Chúa Jêsus phán rằng: Hãy chăn những chiên con ta.
So when they had broken their fast, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, [son] of John, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
16 Ngài lại phán lần thứ hai cùng người rằng: Hỡi Si-môn, con Giô-na, ngươi yêu ta chăng? Phi -e-rơ thưa rằng: Lạy Chúa, phải, Chúa biết rằng tôi yêu Chúa. Ðức Chúa Jêsus phán rằng: Hãy chăn chiên ta.
He saith to him again a second time, Simon, [son] of John, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Tend my sheep.
17 Ngài phán cùng người đến lần thứ ba rằng: Hỡi Si-môn, con Giô-na, ngươi yêu ta chăng? Phi -e-rơ buồn rầu vì Ngài phán cùng mình đến ba lần: Ngươi yêu ta chăng: Người bèn thưa rằng: Lạy Chúa, Chúa biết hết mọi việc; Chúa biết rằng tôi yêu Chúa! Ðức Chúa Trời phán rằng: Hãy chăn chiên ta.
He saith unto him the third time, Simon, [son] of John, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
18 Quả thật, quả thật, ta nói cùng ngươi, khi ngươi còn trẻ, ngươi tự mình thắt lưng lấy, muốn đi đâu thì đi; nhưng khi ngươi già, sẽ giơ bàn tay ra, người khác thắt lưng cho và dẫn ngươi đi đến nơi mình không muốn.
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.
19 Ngài nói điều đó để chỉ về Phi -e-rơ sẽ chết cách nào đặng sáng danh Ðức Chúa Jêsus. Và sau khi đã phán như vậy, Ngài lại rằng: Hãy theo ta.
Now this he spake, signifying by what manner of death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.
20 Phi -e-rơ xây lại, thấy môn đồ mà Ðức Chúa Jêsus yêu đến sau mình, tức là người đương bữa ăn tối, nghiêng mình trên ngực Ðức Chúa Jêsus mà hỏi rằng: Lạy Chúa, ai là kẻ phản Chúa?
Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; who also leaned back on his breast at the supper, and said, Lord, who is he that betrayeth thee?
21 Khi thấy người đó, Phi -e-rơ hỏi Ðức Chúa Jêsus rằng: Lạy Chúa, còn người nầy, về sau sẽ ra thế nào?
Peter therefore seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?
22 Ðức Chúa Trời đáp rằng: nếu ta muốn người cứ ở cho tới khi ta đến, thì can hệ gì với ngươi? Còn ngươi, hãy theo ta.
Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what [is that] to thee? follow thou me.
23 Vậy, có tiếng đồn ra trong vòng các anh em rằng người môn đồ đó sẽ không chết. Nhưng Ðức Chúa Jêsus vốn chẳng phải nói rằng: Người đó sẽ không chết; song nói rằng: Nếu ta muốn người cứ ở cho tới khi ta đến, thì can hệ gì với ngươi? đó thôi.
This saying therefore went forth among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, that he should not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what [is that] to thee?
24 Ấy chính là môn đồ đó làm chứng về những việc nầy và đã chép lấy; chúng ta biết lời chứng của người là thật.
This is the disciple that beareth witness of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his witness is true.
25 Lại còn nhiều việc nữa mà Ðức Chúa Jêsus đã làm; ví bằng người ta cứ từng việc mà chép hết, thì ta tưởng rằng cả thế gian không thể chứa hết các sách người ta chép vậy.
And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that should be written.
