Hô-sê-a 12
1 Ép-ra-im ăn gió, chạy theo sau gió đông. Mỗi ngày, nó thêm nhiều sự nói dối và sự hoang vu; nó lập giao ước với A-si-ri, và đem dầu vào Ê-díp-tô.
Ephraim feeds on wind and follows burning heat; all day long he multiplies lies and desolation. And he has entered into a pact with the Assyrians, and he has carried oil into Egypt.
2 Ðức Giê-hô-va cũng có sự khẩn cầu với Giu-đa, và Ngài sẽ phạt Gia-cốp theo đường lối nó; Ngài sẽ báo trả nó theo việc nó lam.
Therefore, the judgment of the Lord is with Judah and a visitation is upon Jacob. He will repay him according to his ways and according to his inventions.
3 Vừa lúc ở trong lòng mẹ, Gia-cốp nắm gót chơn anh mình; và đến tuổi trưởng thành, có quyền nơi Ðức Chúa Trời.
In the womb, he supplanted his brother; for in his good fortune, he had been guided by an angel.
4 Người có quyền hơn thiên sứ, và được thắng; khóc lóc và khẩn cầu người. Ngài đã gặp người tại Bê-tên, và ấy đó là nơi Ngài phán cùng chúng ta,
And he prevailed over an angel, for he had been strengthened. He wept and petitioned him. He found him in Bethel, and there he has spoken to us.
5 tức là Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời vạn quân; danh kỷ niệm Ngài là Ðức Giê-hô-va.
And the Lord God of hosts, the Lord is his memorial.
6 Vậy ngươi khá trở lại cùng Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi; giữ sự nhơn từ và sự công bình, luôn luôn trông đợi Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi.
And so, you should convert to your God. Keep mercy and judgment, and have hope in your God always.
7 Nó là người buôn bán cầm những cân dối trá trong tay mình; nó ưa gian lận.
Canaan, in his hand is a deceitful balance, he has chosen false accusations.
8 Phải, Ép-ra-im nói rằng: Thật, ta đã trở nên giàu; ta đã được của cải. Trong mọi việc ta làm chẳng hề thấy một việc gian ác gì là tội lỗi.
And Ephraim has said, “Nevertheless, I have become rich; I have found an idol for myself. All of my labors will not reveal to me the iniquity that I have committed.”
9 Ta là Ðức Giê-hô-va, làm Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi từ khi ngươi ra khỏi đất Ê-díp-tô, ta sẽ còn làm cho ngươi dưới các trại như trong những ngày lễ trọng thể.
And I, the Lord your God from the land of Egypt, nevertheless will cause you to dwell in tabernacles, just as during the days of the feast.
10 ta cũng đã phán cho các kẻ tiên tri; đã thêm nhiều sự hiện thấy và đã cậy chức vụ các kẻ tiên tri mà dùng thí dụ.
And I have spoken through the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and I have used parables through the hands of the prophets.
11 Ga-la-át là gian ác, chúng nó chỉ là giả dối. Chúng nó dâng những bò đực trong Ghinh-ganh; nên những bàn thờ chúng nó giống như những đống trong luống cày nơi ruộng.
If Gilead is an idol, then they have been sacrificing cattle in Gilgal to no purpose. For even their altars are like clutter on the soil of the field.
12 Gia-cốp trốn đến ruộng A-ram; Y-sơ-ra-ên làm tôi để được vợ, và vì được vợ mà người chăn các bầy.
Jacob fled into the region of Syria, and Israel served like a wife, and was served by a wife.
13 Ðoạn, Ðức Giê-hô-va nhờ một đấng tiên tri đem Y-sơ-ra-ên khỏi Ê-díp-tô; và nhờ đấng tiên tri gìn giữ nó.
Yet by a prophet the Lord led Israel out of Egypt, and he was served by a prophet.
14 Ép-ra-im chọc cho ta phát cơn giận đắng cay; nên máu nó sẽ đổ lại trên nó, và Chúa sẽ trả sự sỉ nhục cho nó nữa.
Ephraim has provoked me to wrath with his bitterness, and his blood will overcome him, and his Lord will requite him for his shamefulness.
