I Sử Ký 25
1 Ða-vít và các quan tướng đội binh cũng để riêng ra mấy con cháu của A-sáp, Hê-man và Giê-đu-thun hầu phục dịch, lấy đờn cầm, đờn sắt, và chập chỏa đặng nói tiên tri; số người phục sự theo chức của họ là như sau nầy:
David and the leaders of the army selected some of the sons of Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun to prophesy with harps, with stringed instruments, and with cymbals. Here is the list of the men who performed this service:
2 Về con trai A-sáp, có Xác-cua, Giô-sép, Nê-tha-nia, và A-sa-rê-la, đều là con trai của A-sáp, ở dưới tay A-sáp cai quản, vâng theo ý chỉ của vua mà ca xướng.
From the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asharelah, the sons of Asaph, under the direction of Asaph, who prophesied under the king's supervision.
3 Về con trai của Giê-đu-thun có Ghê-đa-lia, và Si-mê -i, là sáu người đều ở dưới quyền cai quản của cha chúng, là Giê-đu-thun, dùng đờn cầm mà nói tiên tri, cảm tạ và ngợi khen Ðức Giê-hô-va.
From the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six in all, under the direction of their father Jeduthun, who played the harp for giving thanks and praising Yahweh.
4 Về con trai của Hê-man có Búc-ki-gia, Ma-tha-nia, U-xi-ên, Sê-bu-ên, Giê-ri-mốt, Ha-na-nia, Ha-na-ni, Ê-li-a-tha, Ghi-đanh-thi, Rô-mam-ti-Ê-xe, Giốt-bê-ca-sa, Ma-lô-thi, Hô-thia, và Ma-ha-xi-ốt.
From the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shubael, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth.
5 Những người đó đều là con trai của Hê-man, thổi kèn và ngợi khen Ðức Chúa Trời. Hê-man vâng mạng của Ðức Chúa Trời mà làm đấng tiên kiến của vua. Ðức Chúa Trời ban cho Hê-man được mười bốn con trai và ba con gái.
All these were the sons of Heman the king's prophet. God gave Heman fourteen sons and three daughters to lift up his horn.
6 Các người ấy đều ở dưới quyền cai quản của cha mình là A-sáp, Giê-đu-thun, và Hê-man, để ca-xướng trong đền Ðức Giê-hô-va với chập chỏa, đờn sắt, đờn cầm, và phục sự tại đền của Ðức Chúa Trời, theo mạng lịnh của vua.
All these were under the direction of their fathers. They were musicians in Yahweh's house, with cymbals and stringed instruments as they served in God's house. Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman were under the king's supervision.
7 Chúng luôn với anh em mình có học tập trong nghề ca hát cho Ðức Giê-hô-va, tức là những người thông thạo, số được hai trăm tám mươi tám người.
They and their brothers who were skilled and trained to make music to Yahweh numbered 288.
8 Chúng đều bắt thăm về ban thứ mình, người lớn như kẻ nhỏ, người thông thạo như kẻ học tập.
They cast lots for their duties, all alike, the same for the young as well as the old, the teacher as well as the student.
9 Cái thăm thứ nhứt nhằm cho Giô-sép về dòng A-sáp; cái thăm thứ nhì nhằm Ghê-đa-lia; người anh em và con trai người, cộng được mười hai người;
Now regarding Asaph's sons: The first lot fell to Joseph's family; the second fell to Gedaliah's family, twelve persons in number;
10 cái thăm thứ ba nhằm Xác-cua, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người;
the third fell to Zaccur, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
11 cái thăm thứ tư nhằm Dít-sê-ri, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người;
the fourth fell to Izri, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
12 cái thăm thứ năm nhằm Nê-tha-nia, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người;
the fifth fell to Nethaniah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
13 cái thăm thứ sáu nhằm Búc-ki-gia, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người;
the sixth fell to Bukkiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
14 cái thăm thứ bảy nhằm Giê-sa-rê-la, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người;
the seventh fell to Jesarelah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
15 cái thăm thứ tám nhằm Ê-sai, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người;
the eighth fell to Jeshaiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
16 cái thăm thứ chín nhằm Ma-tha-nia, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người;
the ninth fell to Mattaniah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
17 cái thăm thứ mười nhằm Si-mê -i; các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người;
the tenth fell to Shimei, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
18 cái thăm thứ mười một nhằm A-xa-rên, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người;
the eleventh fell to Azarel, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
19 cái thăm thứ mười hai nhằm Ha-sa-bia, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người;
the twelfth fell to Hashabiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
20 cái thăm thứ mười ba nhằm Su-ba-ên, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người;
the thirteenth fell to Shubael, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
21 cái thăm thứ mười bốn nhằm Ma-ti-thia, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người;
the fourteenth fell to Mattithiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
22 cái thăm thứ mười lăm nhằm Giê-rê-mốt, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người;
the fifteenth fell to Jerimoth, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
23 cái thăm thừ mười sáu nhằm Ha-na-nia, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người;
the sixteenth fell to Hananiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
24 cái thăm thứ mười bảy nhằm Giốt-bê-ca-sa, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người;
the seventeenth fell to Joshbekashah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
25 cái thăm thứ mười tám nhằm Ha-na-ni, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người;
the eighteenth fell to Hanani, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
26 cái thăm thứ mười chín nhằm Ma-lô-thi, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người;
the nineteenth fell to Mallothi, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
27 cái thăm thứ hai mươi nhằm Ê-li-gia-ta, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người;
the twentieth fell to Eliathah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
28 cái thăm thứ hai mươi mốt nhằm Hô-thia, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người;
the twenty-first fell to Hothir, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
29 cái thăm thứ hai mươi hai nhằm Ghi-đanh-thi, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người;
the twenty-second fell to Giddalti, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
30 cái thăm thứ hai mươi ba nhằm Ma-ha-xi-ốt, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người;
the twenty-third fell to Mahazioth, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
31 cái thăm thứ hai mươi bốn nhằm Rô-man-ti-Ê-xe, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người.
the twenty-fourth fell to Romamti-Ezer, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number.
