Lu-ca 9
1 Ngày kia, Chúa Giê-xu gọi mười hai sứ đồ, ban cho mỗi người quyền năng đuổi quỷ và chữa bệnh.
Then called he the. xii. to gether and gave them power and auctorite over all devyls and that they myght heale diseases.
2 Rồi Ngài sai họ đi công bố Phúc Âm Nước của Đức Chúa Trời và chữa lành người bệnh.
And he sent them to preache the kyngdome of God and to cure the sick.
3 Ngài phán dặn họ: “Đừng mang theo hành trang, không gậy, không bao, không lương thực tiền bạc, cũng không đem thêm áo choàng.
And he sayd to them: Take nothinge to sucker you by ye waye: nether staffe nor scripe nether breed nether money nether have twoo cootes.
4 Vào làng nào, các con cứ ở luôn một nhà cho đến khi qua làng khác.
And whatsoever housse ye enter into there abyde and thence departe.
5 Nếu làng nào không tiếp rước các con, cứ giũ áo ra đi để chứng tỏ không còn trách nhiệm gì về số phận của họ.”
And whosoever will not receave you when ye go out of that cite shake of the very dust from youre fete for a testimony agaynst them.
6 Các sứ đồ đi khắp các làng, công bố Phúc Âm và chữa lành người bệnh.
And they went out and went thorow the tounes preachinge the gospell and healynge every wheare.
7 Khi Hê-rốt An-ti-pa, cai trị xứ Giu-đê, nghe phúc trình về các hoạt động của Chúa Giê-xu thì hoang mang lo sợ. Có người nói rằng Giăng Báp-tít đã sống lại từ cõi chết.
And Herod the tetrarch herde of all that was done of him and douted because that it was sayde of some that Iohn was rysen agayne from deeth:
8 Người khác cho rằng Chúa Giê-xu là Ê-li hay là một trong các tiên tri ngày xưa sống lại từ cõi chết.
and of some that Helyas had apered: and of other that one of the olde prophetes was rysen agayne.
9 Hê-rốt nói: “Ta đã chém đầu Giăng rồi, còn người này là ai mà làm nhiều việc dị thường như thế?” Và vua tìm cách gặp Chúa.
And Herod sayde: Iohn have I behedded: who then is this of whom I heare suche thinges? And he desyred to se him.
10 Các sứ đồ trở về trình báo công việc. Nghe xong, Chúa đem riêng họ đến thành Bết-sai-đa.
And the Apostles retourned and tolde him what great thinges they had done. And he toke them and went a syde into a solitary place nye to a citie called Bethsaida.
11 Nhưng dân chúng biết tin, liền kéo nhau theo Ngài. Chúa tiếp đón đoàn dân, giảng dạy về Nước của Đức Chúa Trời và chữa lành người bệnh.
And ye people knewe of it and folowed him. And he receaved them and spake vnto them of the kyngdome of God and healed them that had nede to be healed.
12 Trời gần tối, mười hai sứ đồ đến thưa với Chúa: “Xin Thầy cho dân chúng giải tán để họ có thể vào làng xóm gần đây mua thức ăn và tìm chỗ nghỉ đêm, vì nơi này hoang vắng quá!”
And when ye daye beganne to weare awaye then came the twelve and sayde vnto him: sende ye people awaye that they maye goo into the tounes and villages roundabout and lodge and get meate for we are here in a place of wyldernes.
13 Nhưng Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Chính các con phải cho họ ăn.” Các sứ đồ ngạc nhiên: “Chúng con chỉ có năm ổ bánh và hai con cá. Hay Thầy muốn chúng con mua thức ăn cho cả đoàn dân này?”
But he sayde vnto them: Geve ye the to eate. And they sayde. We have no moo but fyve loves and two fisshes except we shuld goo and bye meate for all this people.
14 Riêng số đàn ông đã lên đến 5.000 người. Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Các con cho họ ngồi từng nhóm năm mươi người.”
And they were about a fyve thousand men. And he sayde to his disciples: Cause them to syt doune by fyfties in a company.
15 Các môn đệ vâng lời, cho dân chúng ngồi xếp hàng.
And they dyd soo and made them all syt doune.
16 Chúa Giê-xu cầm năm ổ bánh và hai con cá, ngước mắt lên trời cảm tạ Đức Chúa Trời, rồi bẻ ra, đưa các môn đệ, phân phát cho dân chúng.
And he toke the fyve loves and the two fisshes and loked vp to heven and blessed them and brake and gave to the disciples to set before ye people.
17 Mọi người đều ăn no, sau đó các môn đệ đi lượm những mẩu bánh thừa, được mười hai giỏ!
And they ate and were all satisfied. And ther was taken vp of that remayned to the twelve baskettes full of broken meate.
18 Một hôm, Chúa Giê-xu rời đám đông để đi cầu nguyện riêng, các môn đệ quây quần bên cạnh Ngài. Chúa hỏi họ: “Người ta nói Ta là ai?”
And it fortuned as he was alone prayinge his disciples were wt him and he axed the sayinge: Who saye ye people yt I am?
19 Các môn đệ thưa: “Có người nói Thầy là Giăng Báp-tít, người khác cho là Ê-li, người lại bảo là một nhà tiên tri đời xưa sống lại.”
They answered and sayd: Iohn Baptist. Some saye Helyas. And some saye one of the olde prophetes is rysen agayne.
20 Chúa hỏi tiếp: “Còn các con nói Ta là ai?” Phi-e-rơ thưa: “Thầy là Đấng Mết-si-a do Đức Chúa Trời sai xuống trần gian.”
He sayde vnto the: Who saye ye that I am? Peter answered and sayde: thou arte the Christ of god.
21 Chúa Giê-xu căn dặn các môn đệ không được nói cho ai biết Ngài là ai.
And he warned and commaunded them that they shuld tell no man yt thinge
22 Chúa phán: “Con Người phải chịu nhiều thống khổ, bị các trưởng lão, trưởng tế, và các thầy dạy luật khai trừ và bị giết, nhưng sau ba ngày sẽ sống lại.”
sayinge: that the sonne of man must suffre many thinges and be reproved of the elders and of the hye prestes and scribes and be slayne and the thirde daye ryse agayne.
23 Chúa phán cùng đám đông: “Nếu ai muốn làm môn đệ Ta, phải phủ nhận chính mình, hằng ngày vác cây thập tự mình theo Ta.
And he sayde to them all yf eny man will come after me let him denye him sylfe and take vp his crosse dayly and folowe me.
24 Ai tham sống sợ chết sẽ mất mạng. Ai hy sinh tính mạng vì Ta, sẽ được sống.
Whosoever will save his lyfe shall lose it. And who soever shall lose his lyfe for my sake the same shall save it.
25 Nếu một người chiếm được cả thế giới nhưng bản thân phải hư vong thì có ích gì?
For what avauntageth it a man to wynne the whole worlde yf he loose him sylfe or runne in domage of him sylfe?
26 Ai hổ thẹn về Ta và Đạo Ta, Con Người cũng sẽ hổ thẹn về họ khi Ta trở lại trong vinh quang của Ta, của Cha, và các thiên sứ thánh.
For whosoever is ashamed of me and of my sayinges: of him shall the sonne of man be ashamed when he cometh in his awne glorie and in the glorie of his father and of the holy angels.
27 Ta cho các con biết, một vài người đang đứng đây sẽ còn sống cho đến khi nhìn thấy Nước Đức Chúa Trời.”
And I tell you of a surety: There be some of the yt stonde here which shall not tast of deeth tyll they se ye kyngdome of god.
28 Tám ngày sau, Chúa Giê-xu đem Phi-e-rơ, Gia-cơ, và Giăng lên núi để cầu nguyện.
And it folowed about an. viii. dayes after thoose sayinges that he toke Peter Iames and Iohn and went vp into a moutayne to praye.
29 Đang cầu nguyện, gương mặt Chúa biến đổi sáng rực, y phục Ngài trắng và chói sáng.
And as he prayed ye facion of his countenaunce was changed and his garment was whyte and shoone.
30 Thình lình Môi-se và Ê-li hiện ra trong vinh quang hầu chuyện với Chúa.
And beholde two men talked wt him and they were Moses and Helyas
31 Họ đề cập đến việc Chúa sắp chịu chết tại Giê-ru-sa-lem để hoàn thành chương trình của Đức Chúa Trời.
which appered gloriously and spake of his departinge which he shuld ende at Ierusalem.
32 Phi-e-rơ và hai bạn đều ngủ mê. Lúc tỉnh dậy, họ thấy vinh quang của Chúa Giê-xu, và hai người đứng cạnh Ngài.
Peter and they that were with him were hevy with slepe. And when they woke they sawe his glorie and two men stondinge with him.
33 Khi Môi-se và Ê-li từ giã Chúa, Phi-e-rơ bỗng buột miệng: “Thưa Thầy, ở đây thật tuyệt! Chúng con sẽ dựng ba chiếc lều cho Thầy, Môi-se, và Ê-li.” Nhưng Phi-e-rơ không biết mình nói gì.
And it chaunsed as they departed fro him Peter sayde vnto Iesus: Master it is good beinge here for vs. Let vs make thre tabernacles one for the and one for Moses and one for Helyas: and wist not what he sayde.
34 Ngay lúc ấy, một đám mây kéo đến bao phủ mọi người, các môn đệ đều kinh hãi.
Whyll he thus spake ther came a cloude and shadowed them: and they feared when they were come vnder the cloude.
35 Từ trong mây có tiếng phán: “Đây là Con Ta, Đấng Ta lựa chọn! Mọi người phải nghe lời Con!”
And ther came a voyce out of the cloude sayinge: This is my deare sonne heare him.
36 Khi tiếng ấy vừa dứt, các môn đệ chỉ thấy một mình Chúa Giê-xu. Họ giữ kín chuyện đó rất lâu, không nói cho ai biết.
And assone as ye voyce was past Iesus was founde alone. And they kept it cloose and tolde noo man in thoose dayes eny of those thinges which they had sene.
37 Hôm sau, Chúa Giê-xu và các môn đệ vừa xuống núi, một đoàn dân đông kéo đến.
And it chaunsed on the nexte daye as they came doune from the hyll moche people met him.
38 Trong đám đông, một người kêu lớn: “Thưa Thầy, xin cứu con tôi, đứa con trai duy nhất của tôi!
And beholde a man of the copany cryed out sayinge: Master I beseche ye beholde my sonne for he is all that I have:
39 Quỷ nhập vào nó, khiến nó la hét bất chợt và bị động kinh sùi bọt mép. Quỷ hành hạ nó luôn, ít khi để yên.
and se a sprete taketh him and sodenly he cryeth and he teareth him that he fometh agayne and with moche payne departeth fro him when he hath rent him and
40 Tôi nài xin các môn đệ Thầy đuổi quỷ cho, nhưng họ không đuổi nổi.”
I besought thy disciples to cast him out and they coulde not.
41 Chúa Giê-xu trách: “Những người ngoan cố hoài nghi kia! Ta phải ở đây chịu đựng các ngươi đến bao giờ? Hãy đem đứa bé lại đây!”
Iesus answered and sayde: O generacion with oute fayth and croked: how longe shall I be with you? and shall suffre you? Bringe thy sonne hidder.
42 Khi đứa bé đến gần, quỷ vật nó nhào xuống đất, động kinh dữ dội. Chúa Giê-xu đuổi quỷ, chữa lành đứa bé và giao lại cho người cha.
As he yet was a cominge the fende ret him and tare him. And Iesus rebuked ye vnclene sprete and healed the childe and delivered him to his father.
43 Mọi người đều kinh ngạc trước quyền năng phi thường của Đức Chúa Trời. Trong lúc dân chúng đang thán phục các phép lạ Ngài thực hiện, Chúa Giê-xu nói với các môn đệ:
And they were all amased at ye mighty power of God. Whyll they wondred every one at all thinges which he dyd he sayd vnto his disciples:
44 “Các con ghi nhớ lời này. Con Người sẽ bị phản bội và nộp vào tay người ta!”
Let these sayinges synke doune into youre eares. The tyme will come when the sonne of man shalbe delivered into the hondes of men.
45 Nhưng các môn đệ không hiểu lời Ngài dạy, vì trí óc họ như bị đóng kín. Họ lại sợ, không dám hỏi Ngài.
But they wist not what yt worde meant and yt was hyd fro the that they vnderstode yt not. And they feared to axe him of that sayinge.
46 Các môn đệ tranh luận với nhau, xem người nào cao trọng nhất.
Then ther arose a disputacion amoge the: who shuld be the greatest.
47 Chúa Giê-xu biết ý tưởng họ, nên đem một đứa trẻ đến bên cạnh.
When Iesus perceaved ye thoughtes of their hertes he toke a chylde and set him hard by him
48 Ngài phán cùng họ: “Ai nhân danh Ta tiếp rước một em bé như nó, tức là tiếp rước Ta. Còn ai tiếp rước Ta là tiếp rước Đấng đã sai Ta. Trong các con, ai nhỏ nhất lại là người cao trọng nhất.”
and sayd vnto the: Whosoever receaveth this chylde in my name receaveth me. And whosoever receaveth me receaveth him yt sent me. For he yt is least amonge you all the same shalbe greate.
49 Giăng thưa với Chúa Giê-xu: “Thưa Thầy, chúng con thấy có người nhân danh Thầy đuổi quỷ, chúng con đã cấm vì họ không thuộc nhóm chúng ta.”
And Iohn answered and sayde: Master we sawe one castinge out devyls in thy name and we forbade him because he foloweth not with vs.
50 Nhưng Chúa Giê-xu đáp “Đừng cấm! Vì ai không chống các con là theo các con.”
And Iesus sayde vnto him: forbyd ye him not. For he that is not agaynst vs is wt vs.
51 Gần đến ngày về trời, Chúa Giê-xu cương quyết lên Giê-ru-sa-lem.
And it folowed when the tyme was come yt he shulde be receaved vp then he set his face to goo to Hierusalem
52 Ngài sai mấy người đi trước, vào một làng Sa-ma-ri sửa soạn chỗ trọ cho Ngài.
and sent messengers before him. And they went and entred into a citie of the Samaritans to make redy for him.
53 Nhưng dân làng không chịu tiếp rước Chúa, vì biết Ngài muốn lên Giê-ru-sa-lem.
But they wolde not receave him be cause his face was as though he wolde goo to Ierusalem.
54 Thấy thế, Gia-cơ và Giăng hỏi Chúa Giê-xu: “Thưa, Chúa muốn chúng con khiến lửa từ trời xuống thiêu đốt họ không?”
When his disciples Iames and Iohn sawe yt they sayde: Lorde wilt thou that we comaunde that fyre come doune from heven and consume them even as Helias dyd?
55 Nhưng Chúa Giê-xu quay lại trách hai người,
Iesus turned about and rebuked them sayinge: ye wote not what maner sprete ye are of.
56 rồi dẫn môn đệ qua làng khác.
The sonne of ma ys not come to destroye mennes lives but to save them. And they went to another toune.
57 Đang đi trên đường, có người đến thưa với Chúa Giê-xu: “Dù Thầy đi đâu, tôi cũng xin theo.”
And it chaunsed as he went in the waye a certayne man sayd vnto him: I will folowe the whither soever thou goo.
58 Nhưng Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Con cáo có hang, chim trời có tổ, nhưng Con Người không có chỗ gối đầu.”
Iesus sayd vnto him: foxes have holes and bryddes of ye ayer have nestes: but the sonne of man hath not where on to laye his heed.
59 Chúa gọi một người khác: “Hãy theo Ta.” Người ấy đồng ý, nhưng thưa rằng: “Thưa Chúa, trước hết xin cho con về nhà chôn cha con.”
And he sayde vnto another: folowe me. And the same sayde: Lorde suffre me fyrst to goo and bury my father.
60 Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Cứ để những người chết phần tâm linh lo mai táng người chết của họ. Còn con phải đi công bố Phúc Âm của Nước Đức Chúa Trời.”
Iesus sayd vnto him: Let the deed bury their deed: but goo thou and preache the kyngdome of God.
61 Cũng có người trả lời: “Thưa Chúa, con sẽ theo Chúa, nhưng trước hết xin để con về từ giã gia đình con.”
And another sayde: I wyll folowe the Lorde: but let me fyrst goo byd them fare well which are at home at my housse.
62 Nhưng Chúa Giê-xu phán với người ấy: “Ai xao lãng công tác Ta ủy thác, đã đặt tay cầm cày còn ngoảnh nhìn lại phía sau, là người không xứng hợp với Nước của Đức Chúa Trời.”
Iesus sayde vnto him: No man that putteth his honde to the plowe and loketh backe is apte to the kyngdome of God.
