1 Herbir dana ayal öz ailisini awat qilar; Exmeq ayal ailisini öz qoli bilen weyran qilar.
The wisdom of women buildeth their house; but folly plucketh it down with her hands.
2 Durusluq yolida mangidighan kishi Perwerdigardin qorqar; Qingghir yolda mangghan kishi [Xudani] közge ilmas.
He that walketh in his uprightness feareth Jehovah; but he that is perverted in his ways despiseth him.
3 Exmeqning tekebbur aghzi özige tayaq bolar; Aqilanining lewliri özini qoghdar.
In the fool's mouth is a rod of pride; but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.
4 Ulagh bolmisa, éghil pak-pakiz turar; Biraq öküzning küchi bolghandila [sanggha] ashliq tolar.
Where no oxen are, the crib is clean; but much increase is by the strength of the ox.
5 Ishenchlik guwahchi yalghan éytmas; Saxta guwahchi yalghan gepni nepestek tinar.
A faithful witness will not lie; but a false witness uttereth lies.
6 Hakawurlar danaliq izdep tapalmas; Biraq yorutulghan ademge bilim élish asan’gha chüsher.
A scorner seeketh wisdom, and there is none [for him]; but knowledge is easy unto the intelligent.
7 Birawning aghzida bilim yoqluqini bilip yetkende, Uningdin özüngni néri tart.
Go from the presence of a foolish man, in whom thou perceivest not the lips of knowledge.
8 Eqil-parasetlik kishining danaliqi öz yolini oylinishtidur; Exmeqlerning eqilsizliki bolsa özlirining aldinishidur.
The wisdom of the prudent is to discern his way; but the folly of the foolish is deceit.
9 Exmeqler bolsa «itaetsizlik qurbanliqi»ni közge ilmaydu, Heqqaniylar arisida bolsa iltipat tépilar.
Fools make a mock at trespass; but for the upright there is favour.
10 Köngüldiki derdni peqet özila kötüreler; Köngüldiki xushluqqimu bashqilar shérik bolalmas.
The heart knoweth its own bitterness, and a stranger doth not intermeddle with its joy.
11 Yamanning öyi örülüp chüsher; Heqqaniy ademning chédiri güllinip kéter.
The house of the wicked shall be overthrown; but the tent of the upright shall flourish.
12 Adem balisigha toghridek körünidighan bir yol bar, Lékin aqiwiti halaketke baridighan yollardur.
There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof is the ways of death.
13 Oyun-külke bolsa qelbtiki ghem-qayghuni yapar, Xushalliq ötüp ketkende, ghem-qayghu yenila qalar.
Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful, and the end of mirth is sadness.
14 Toghra yoldin burulup yan’ghan adem haman öz yolidin toyar; Yaxshi adem öz ishidin qanaetliner.
The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways, and the good man from what is in himself.
15 Saddilar hemme gepke ishinip kéter; Lékin pem-parasetlik kishi herbir qedemni awaylap basar.
The simple believeth every word; but the prudent [man] heedeth his going.
16 Dana adem éhtiyatchan bolup awarichiliktin néri kéter; Exmeq hakawurluq qilip, özige ishinip aldigha mangar.
A wise [man] feareth and departeth from evil; but the foolish is overbearing and confident.
17 Térikkek exmeqliq qilar; Neyrengwaz adem nepretke uchrar.
He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly, and a man of mischievous devices is hated.
18 Saddilar exmeqliqqa warisliq qilar; Pem-parasetlikler bilimni öz taji qilar.
The simple inherit folly; but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
19 Yamanlar yaxshilarning aldida igiler; Qebihler heqqaniyning derwaziliri aldida [bash urar].
The evil bow before the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous [man].
20 Namrat kishi hetta öz yéqinighimu yaman körüner. Bayning dosti bolsa köptur.
He that is poor is hated even of his own neighbour; but the rich hath many friends.
21 Yéqinini pes körgen gunahkardur; Lékin miskinlerge rehim qilghan beriket tapar.
He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth; but he that is gracious to the afflicted, happy is he.
22 Yamanliq oylighanlar yoldin adashqanlardin emesmu? Biraq yaxshiliq oylighanlar rehim-shepqet, heqiqet-sadiqliqqa muyesser bolar.
Do they not err that devise evil? but loving-kindness and truth are for those that devise good.
23 Hemme méhnettin payda chiqar; Biraq quruq paranglar ademni mohtajliqta qaldurar.
In all labour there is profit; but the talk of the lips [tendeth] only to want.
24 Aqilaniler üchün bayliqlar bir tajdur; Exmeqlerning nadanliqidin peqet yene shu nadanliqla chiqar.
The crown of the wise is their riches; the folly of the foolish is folly.
25 Heqqaniy guwahliq bergüchi kishilerning hayatini qutquzar; Yalghan-yawidaq sözleydighan [guwahchi] yalghan gepni nepestek tinar.
A true witness delivereth souls; but deceit uttereth lies.
26 Perwerdigardin qorqidighanning küchlük yölenchüki bar, Uning balilirimu himayige ige bolar.
In the fear of Jehovah is strong confidence, and his children shall have a place of refuge.
27 Perwerdigardin qorqush hayatning buliqidur; U kishini ejellik tuzaqlardin qutquzar.
The fear of Jehovah is a fountain of life, to turn away from the snares of death.
28 Padishahning shan-sheripi puqrasining köplikidindur; Puqrasining kemliki emirning halakitidur.
In the multitude of people is the king's glory; but in the lack of people is the ruin of a prince.
29 Éghir-bésiq kishi intayin aqil kishidur; Chéchilghaq exmeqliqni ulughlar.
He that is slow to anger is of great understanding; but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
30 Xatirjem köngül tenning saqliqidur; Hesret chékish bolsa söngeklerni chiritar.
A sound heart is the life of the flesh; but envy the rottenness of the bones.
31 Miskinni bozek qilghuchi — Perwerdigargha haqaret qilghuchidur; Hajetmenlerge shapaet qilish Uni hörmetligenliktur.
He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker; but he that honoureth Him is gracious to the needy.
32 Yaman öz yamanliqi ichide yiqitilar; Heqqaniy adem hetta sekratta yatqandimu xatirjem bolar.
The wicked is driven away by his evil-doing; but the righteous trusteth, [even] in his death.
33 Yorutulghan kishining könglide danaliq yatar; Biraq exmeqning könglidikisi ashkara bolmay qalmas.
Wisdom resteth in the heart of the intelligent [man]; but that which is in the foolish maketh itself known.
34 Heqqaniyet herqaysi elni yuqiri kötürer; Gunah herqandaq milletni nomusqa qaldurar.
Righteousness exalteth a nation; but sin is a reproach to peoples.
35 Padishahning iltipati eqilliq xizmetkarning béshigha chüsher; Biraq uning ghezipi nomusta qaldurghuchi uyatsiz xizmetkarining béshigha chüsher.
The king's favour is toward a wise servant; but his wrath is [against] him that causeth shame.
