1 [Йәттә күндин] кейин, Аюп еғиз ечип [әһвалиға қарита] өзиниң көрүватқан күнигә ләнәт оқуп мундақ деди: —
Afterward Iob opened his mouth, and cursed his day.
And Iob cryed out, and sayd,
3 «Мән туғулған әшу күн болмиған болса боптикән! «Оғул бала апиридә болди!» дейилгән шу кечә болмиған болса боптикән!
Let the day perish, wherein I was borne, and the night when it was sayde, There is a man childe conceiued.
4 Шу күнни зулмәт қаплиған болса боптикән! Әрштә турған Тәңри көз алдидин шу күнни йоқитивәткән болса боптикән, Қуяш нури униң үстигә чүшүрүлмисә боптикән!
Let that day bee darkenesse, let not God regarde it from aboue, neyther let the light shine vpon it,
5 Шу күнни қараңғулуқ һәм өлүмниң көләңгиси өз қойниға алса боптикән! Булутлар уни жутуп кәтсә боптикән, Шу күнни күн қараңғулатқучилар қорқитип кәткүзивәткән болса боптикән!
But let darkenesse, and the shadowe of death staine it: let the cloude remayne vpon it, and let them make it fearefull as a bitter day.
6 Шу кәчни — Зулмәт тутуп кәтсә боптикән; Шу күн жил ичидики [башқа] күнләр билән биллә шатланмиса боптикән! Шу күн айниң бир күни болуп саналмиса боптикән!
Let darkenesse possesse that night, let it not be ioyned vnto the dayes of the yeere, nor let it come into the count of the moneths.
7 Мана, шу кечидә туғут болмиса боптикән! У кечидә һеч қандақ шат-хурамлиқ аваз яңримиса боптикән!
Yea, desolate be that night, and let no ioy be in it.
8 Күнләргә ләнәт қилғучилар шу күнгә ләнәт қилса боптикән! Левиатанни қозғашқа петиналайдиғанлар шу күнгә ләнәт қилса боптикән!
Let them that curse the day, (being readie to renue their mourning) curse it.
9 Шу күн таң сәһәрдики юлтузлар қараңғулашса боптикән! У күн қуяш нурини беһудә күтсә боптикән! Шу күн сүбһиниң қапақлириниң ечилишини беһудә күтсә боптикән!
Let the starres of that twilight be dimme through darkenesse of it: let it looke for light, but haue none: neither let it see the dawning of the day,
10 Чүнки шу күн мени көтәргән балиятқуниң ишиклирини әтмигән, Мениң көзлиримни дәрд-әләмни көрәлмәс қилмиған.
Because it shut not vp the dores of my mothers wombe: nor hid sorowe from mine eyes.
11 Аһ, немишкә анамниң қосиғидин чүшүпла өлүп кәтмигәндимән?! Немишкә қосақтин чиққандила нәпәстин қалмиғандимән?
Why died I not in the birth? or why dyed I not, when I came out of the wombe?
12 Немишкә мени қобул қилидиған етәкләр болғанду? Немишкә мени емитидиған әмчәкләр болғанду?
Why did the knees preuent me? and why did I sucke the breasts?
13 Мошулар болмиған болса, ундақта мән мәңгү тинич йетип қалаттим, Мәңгүлүк уйқиға кәткән болаттим, шу чағда арам тапқан болаттим.
For so shoulde I now haue lyen and bene quiet, I should haue slept then, and bene at rest,
14 Шу чағда өзлири үчүнла хилвәт җайларға мазар салған йәр йүзидики падишалар һәм мәслиһәтчиләр билән,
With the Kings and counselers of the earth, which haue buylded themselues desolate places:
15 Яки алтун жиққан, Өйлири күмүчкә толған бәг-шаһзадиләр билән болаттим;
Or with the princes that had golde, and haue filled their houses with siluer.
16 Қосақтин мәзгилсиз чүшүп кәткән йошурун балидәк, Нурни көрмәй чачрап кәткән балидәк һаят кәчүрмигән болаттим.
Or why was I not hid, as an vntimely birth, either as infants, which haue not seene the light?
17 Әшу йәрдә рәзилләр аваричиликтин халий болиду, Әшу йәрдә һалидин кәткәнләр арам тапиду;
The wicked haue there ceased from their tyrannie, and there they that laboured valiantly, are at rest.
18 Әшу йәрдә әсирләр раһәттә җәм болиду, Улар әзгүчиләрниң авазини аңлимайду;
The prisoners rest together, and heare not the voyce of the oppressour.
19 Ғерибларму һәм улуқларму әшу йәрдә туриду, Қул болса ғоҗайинидин азат болиду.
There are small and great, and the seruant is free from his master.
20 Җапа тартқучиға немә дәп нур берилиду? Немишкә дәрд-әләмгә чөмгәнләргә һаят берилиду?
Wherefore is the light giuen to him that is in miserie? and life vnto them that haue heauie hearts?
21 Улар тәшналиқ билән өлүмни күтиду, Бирақ у кәлмәйду; Улар өлүмни йошурун гөһәрни кезип издигәндинму әвзәл билиду,
Which long for death, and if it come not, they would euen search it more then treasures:
22 Улар гөрни тапқанда зор хошал болуп, Шат-хурамлиққа чөмиду.
Which ioy for gladnes, and reioyce, when they can finde the graue.
23 Өз йоли ениқсиз адәмгә, Йәни Тәңриниң тосиқи селинған адәмгә немишкә [нур вә һаят] берилиду?
Why is the light giuen to the man whose way is hid, and whom God hath hedged in?
24 Шуңа тамиғимниң орниға налилирим келиду; Мениң қаттиқ пәрядлирим шарқиратмидәк шарқирайду.
For my sighing commeth before I eate, and my roarings are powred out like the water.
25 Чүнки мән дәл қорққан вәһшәт өз бешимға чүшти; Мән дәл қорқидиған иш маңа кәлди.
For the thing I feared, is come vpon me, and the thing that I was afraid of, is come vnto me.
26 Мәндә һеч арамлиқ йоқтур! Һәм һеч хатирҗәм әмәсмән! Һеч теч-аманлиғим йоқтур! Бирақ паракәндичилик һаман үстүмгә чүшмәктә!».
I had no peace, neither had I quietnesse, neither had I rest, yet trouble is come.
