Псалми 63
1 Псалом Давидів, коли був він у пустині юдейській. Боже — Ти Бог мій, я шукаю від ра́ння Тебе, душа моя пра́гне до Тебе, тужить тіло моє за Тобою в країні пусте́льній і ви́мученій без води.
A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Idumea. O God, my God, I cry to thee early; my soul has thirsted for thee: how often has my flesh [longed] after thee, in a barren and trackless and dry land!
2 Я так пригляда́вся до Тебе в святині, щоб бачити силу Твою й Твою славу, —
Thus have I appeared before thee in the sanctuary, that I might see thy power and thy glory.
3 ліпша бо милість Твоя над життя, й мої уста Тебе прославля́ють!
For thy mercy is better than life: my lips shall praise thee.
4 Так я буду в житті своїм благословля́ти Тебе, ради Йме́ння Твого́ буду руки свої підіймати!
Thus will I bless thee during my life: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
5 Наси́чується, ніби лоєм і товщем, душа моя, а уста́ мої хвалять губа́ми співни́ми.
Let my soul be filled as with marrow and fatness; and [my] joyful lips shall praise thy name.
6 Як згадаю Тебе на посте́лі своїй, розмишля́ю про Тебе в сторо́жах нічни́х:
Forasmuch as I have remembered thee on my bed: in the early seasons I have meditated on thee.
7 що став Ти на поміч для мене, в тіні́ ж Твоїх крил я співатиму!
For thou hast been my helper, and in the shelter of thy wings will I rejoice.
8 Пригорну́лась до Тебе душа моя, прави́ця Твоя підпирає мене.
My soul has kept very close behind thee: thy right hand has upheld me.
9 Вороги ж мою душу шукають для згуби, — нехай западу́ться до спо́ду землі,
But they vainly sought after my soul; they shall go into the lowest parts o the earth.
10 нехай помордо́вані бу́дуть мече́м, бодай стали шака́лам пожи́вою!
They shall be delivered up to the power of the sword; they shall be portions for foxes.
11 А цар звесели́ться у Бозі, буде хва́лений кожен, хто йому присягає, будуть бо за́мкнені уста лжемо́вцям!
But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that swears by him shall be praised; for the mouth of them that speak unjust things has been stopped.
