Від Луки 16
1 Оповів же Він й учням Своїм: „Один чоловік був багатий, і мав управи́теля, що оска́ржений був перед ним, ніби він перево́дить маєток його.
AND he spake a parable to his disciples: There was a certain rich man who had a house-chief; and he was accused to him that his substance he wasted.
2 І він покликав його, і до нього сказав: „Що́ це чую про тебе? Дай звіт про своє управи́тельство, бо більше не зможеш рядити“.
And his lord called him, and said to him, What is this that I hear of thee? give me the account of thy house-headship; for thou canst no longer be house-chief unto me.
3 І управи́тель почав міркувати собі: „Що́ я маю робити, коли пан управи́тельство відійме від мене? Копати не можу, просити соромлюсь.
And the house-chief said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh from me the house-headship. I cannot dig, and to beg I am ashamed.
4 Знаю, що́ я зроблю́, щоб мене прийняли́ до домів своїх, коли буду я ски́нений із управи́тельства“.
I know what I will do, that when I shall be put out of the house-headship, they may receive me into their houses.
5 І закликав він на́різно кожного з боржників свого пана, та її питається першого: „Скільки винен ти панові моєму?“
And he called one by one from the debtors of his lord, and said to the first, How much owest thou to my lord?
6 А той відказав: „Сто кадок оливи“. І сказав він йому: „Візьми ось розписку свою, швидко сідай та й пиши: п'ятдеся́т“.
And he said to him, An hundred metres of oil. He saith to him, Take thy book, and sit down quickly, and write fifty metres.
7 А потім питається другого: „А ти скільки винен?“І той відказав: „Сто кірців пшениці“. І сказав він йому: „Візьми ось розписку свою й напиши: вісімдеся́т“.
And he said to another, And thou, how much owest thou to my lord? He saith to him, An hundred kureen of wheat. He saith to him, Take thy book, and sit down, write eighty kureen.
8 І пан похвалив управи́теля цього невірного, що він мудро вчинив. Бо сини цього світу в своїм поколінні мудріші, аніж сини світла. (aiōn g165)
And praised our Lord the house-chief who was unjust, in that he had done wisely; for the sons of this world are wiser than the sons of light in this their generation. (aiōn g165)
9 І Я вам кажу́: „Набувайте дру́зів собі від багатства неправедного, щоб, коли промине́ться воно, прийняли вас до вічних осель. (aiōnios g166)
Also I say unto you, Make to you friends from this wealth of unrighteousness, that, when perfect, they may receive you into the tabernacles of eternity. (aiōnios g166)
10 Хто вірний в найменшому, — і в великому вірний; і хто несправедливий в найменшому, — і в великому несправедливий.
Whoever in the little is faithful, in the great also is faithful; and he who in the little is unjust, in the great also is unjust.
11 Отож, коли в несправедливім багатстві ви не були вірні, — хто вам правдиве довірить?
If, therefore, in the wealth of unrighteousness you have not been faithful, the truth to you who will confide?
12 І коли ви в чужому не були́ вірні, — хто ваше вам дасть?
And if in that which is not yours you are not found faithful, your own who will give to you?
13 Жа́ден раб не може служи́ть двом панам, — бо або одно́го знена́видить, а другого буде любити, або буде триматись одного, а другого зне́хтує. Не можете Богові й мамо́ні служити!“
No man can serve two lords; for either the one he will hate, and the other he will love; or the one he will honour, and the other despise. You cannot serve Aloha and wealth.
14 Чули все це й фарисеї, що були́ сріблолюбці, та й стали сміятися з Нього.
But the Pharishee, when they heard all these things, because they loved money, derided him.
15 Він же промовив до них: „Ви себе видаєте за праведних перед людьми́, але ваші серця знає Бог. Що бо високе в людей, те перед Богом гидо́та.
But Jeshu said to them, You are they who justify yourselves before the sons of men; but Aloha knoweth your hearts. For, what is exalted among men, before Aloha is abominable.
16 Зако́н і Пророки були до Івана; відтоді Царство Боже благовісти́ться, і кожен силку́ється втиснутись в ньо́го.
The law and the prophets were until Juchanon; from thenceforth the kingdom of Aloha is preached, and every one presseth to enter.
17 Легше небо й земля промине́ться, аніж одна риса з Зако́ну загине.
But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than one letter from the law to pass away.
18 Кожен, хто дружи́ну свою відпускає, і бере собі іншу, той чинить пере́люб. І хто побереться з тією, яку хто відпустив, той чинить пере́люб.
Every one who looseth his wife, and taketh another, committeth adultery; and every one who taketh the dismissed, committeth adultery.
19 Один чоловік був багатий, і зодягався в порфі́ру й віссо́н, і щоденно розкішно бенкетува́в.
NOW there was a certain rich man, and he was clothed in byssos and purple, and every day feasted gaily.
20 Був і вбогий один, на ім'я́ йому Ла́зар, що лежав у воріт його, стру́пами вкритий,
And there was a certain poor man, whose name was Loózar; and he lay at the gate of him who was rich, bruised with wounds,
21 і бажав годува́тися кри́шками, що зо сто́лу багатого падали; пси ж прихо́дили й рани лизали йому́.
and desired to fill his belly with the crumbs which fell from the table of that rich. And also the dogs came and licked his wounds.
22 Та ось сталось, що вбогий умер, — і на Авраамове ло́но відне́сли його анголи́. Умер же й багатий, — і його поховали.
Now that poor man died, and angels conducted him to the bosom of Abraham: but that rich man also died, and was buried.
23 І, те́рплячи муки в аду́, звів він очі свої, та й побачив здаля Авраама та Лазаря на лоні його. (Hadēs g86)
And, tormented in shiul, he lifted up his eyes afar, and seeth Abraham, and Loózar in his bosom. (Hadēs g86)
24 І він закричав та сказав: „Змилуйся, отче Аврааме, надо мною, і пошли мені Ла́заря, — нехай умочить у воду кінця свого пальця, і мого язика́ прохоло́дить, бо я мучуся в по́лум'ї цім!“
And he cried with a high voice, and said, My father Abraham, have compassion upon me, and send Loózar, that he may dip the top of his finger in waters, and moisten my tongue; for, behold, I am tormented in this flame.
25 Авраам же промовив: „Згадай, сину, що ти вже прийняв за життя свого добре своє, а Лазар так само — лихе; тепер він тут ті́шиться, а ти мучишся.
Abraham said to him, My son, remember that thou didst receive thy goods in thy life, and Loózar his evils, and now, behold, he reposeth here, and thou art tormented.
26 А крім того всього́, поміж нами та вами велика безо́дня поста́влена, так що ті, що хо́чуть, перехо́дити не можуть ізвідси до вас, ані не переходять ізвідти до нас“.
And with all these, there is a great void set between us and you, that they who would pass from hence unto you are not able, nor they also who would pass from thence to us.
27 А він відказав: „Отож, отче, благаю тебе, щоб його ти послав у дім ба́тька мого,
He said to him, I pray thee, then, my father, to send him unto my father's house:
28 бо п'ятьох братів маю, — хай він їм засві́дчить, щоб і вони не прийшли на це місце стражда́ння!“
for five brethren have I; let him go and testify unto them, that they also come not to this place of torment.
29 Авраам же сказав: „Вони мають Мойсея й Пророків, — нехай слухають їх!“
Abraham said to him, They have Musha and the prophets, let them hear them.
30 А він відказав: „Ні ж бо, отче Аврааме, — але коли при́йде хто з мертвих до них, то покаються“.
But he said to him, No, my father Abraham, but if one from the dead shall go unto them, they repent.
31 Йому ж він відказав: „Як Мойсея й Пророків не слухають, то коли хто й із мертвих воскресне, — не йня́тимуть віри!“
Abraham saith to him, If Musha and the prophets they hear not, neither, if one from the dead should rise, would they believe him.
