Йов 26
1 А Йов відповів та й сказав:
Then Job answered,
2 „Як безси́лому ти допоміг, як раме́но підпер ти немо́жному?
“How have you helped him who is without power! How have you saved the arm that has no strength!
3 Що ти радив немудрому, й яку раду подав багатьом?
How have you counselled him who has no wisdom, and plentifully declared sound knowledge!
4 Кому́ ти слова́ говорив, і чий дух вийшов з тебе?
To whom have you uttered words? Whose spirit came out of you?
5 Рефаїми тремтять під водою й всі її ме́шканці.
“The departed spirits tremble, those beneath the waters and all that live in them.
Sheol is naked before God, and Abaddon has no covering. (Sheol h7585)
7 Він над порожнечею пі́вніч простяг, на нічо́му Він землю повісив.
He stretches out the north over empty space, and hangs the earth on nothing.
8 Він зав'я́зує воду в Своїх облака́х, і не розбива́ється хмара під ними.
He binds up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not burst under them.
9 Він поставив престо́ла Свого, розтягнув над ним хмару Свою.
He encloses the face of his throne, and spreads his cloud on it.
10 На поверхні води Він зазна́чив межу́ аж до границі між світлом та те́мрявою.
He has described a boundary on the surface of the waters, and to the confines of light and darkness.
11 Стовпи неба тремтять та страша́ться від гніву Його.
The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his rebuke.
12 Він міццю Своєю вспоко́ює море, і Своїм розумом нищить Рага́ва.
He stirs up the sea with his power, and by his understanding he strikes through Rahab.
13 Своїм Духом Він небо прикра́сив, рука Його в ньому створила втікаючого Скорпіо́на.
By his Spirit the heavens are garnished. His hand has pierced the swift serpent.
14 Таж це все — самі кі́нці дороги Його, — бо ми тільки слабке́ шепоті́ння чува́ли про Нього, грім поту́ги ж Його — хто його зрозуміє?“
Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways. How small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?”
