До галатів 3
1 О, ви нерозумні гала́ти! Хто вас звів не кори́тися правді, вас, яким перед очима Ісус Христос переднакре́слений був, як ніби між вами розп'я́тий?
O ye Galatians, deficient in understanding! Who hath fascinated you? For lo, Jesus the Messiah hath been portrayed as in a picture, crucified before your eyes.
2 Це одне хочу знати від вас: чи ви прийняли́ Духа ділами Зако́ну, чи із про́повіді про віру?
This only would I learn from you, Was it by works of the law, that ye received the Spirit? or by the hearing of faith?
3 Чи ж ви аж такі нерозумні? Духом почавши, кінчите́ тепер тілом?
Are ye so foolish, that having begun in the Spirit, ye now would consummate in the flesh?
4 Чи ви так багато терпіли нада́рмо? Коли б тільки надармо!
And have ye borne all these things in vain? And I would, it were in vain!
5 Отже, Той, Хто вам Духа дає й чуда чинить між вами, — чи чинить ділами Зако́ну, чи із про́повіді про віру?
He therefore who giveth the Spirit in you, and who worketh miracles among you, doth he these things by the deeds of the law? or by the hearing of faith?
6 Так як Авраа́м „був увірував в Бога, — і це залічено за праведність йому“.
In like manner Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
7 Тож знайте, що ті, хто від віри, — то сини Авраа́мові.
Know ye, therefore, that those who are of faith, they are the children of Abraham.
8 І Писа́ння, передбачивши, що вірою Бог виправдає поган, благовісти́ло Авраамові: „Благосло́вляться в тобі всі наро́ди!“
For, because God knew beforehand that the Gentiles would be made just by faith, he preannounced it to Abraham; as saith the holy scripture, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
9 Тому́ ті, хто від віри, бу́дуть поблагосло́влені з вірним Авраамом.
Believers, therefore, it is, who are blessed with believing Abraham.
10 А всі ті, хто на діла Зако́ну покладається, — вони під прокля́ттям. Бо написано: , Прокля́тий усякий, хто не триває в усьому, що написано в книзі Зако́ну, щоб чинити оте!“
For they who are of the deeds of the law, are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one who shall not do every thing written in this law.
11 А що перед Богом Зако́ном ніхто не виправдується, то це ясно, бо „праведний житиме вірою“.
And that no one becometh just before God, by the law, is manifest: because it is written, The just by faith, shall live.
12 А Зако́н не від віри, але „хто чинитиме те, той житиме ним“.
Now the law is not of faith; but, whoever shall do the things written in it, shall live by them.
13 Христос відкупив нас від прокля́ття Зако́ну, ставши прокля́ттям за нас, бо написано: „Прокля́тий усякий, хто ви́сить на дереві“,
But the Messiah hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, and hath been a curse for us; (for it is written, Cursed is everyone that is hanged on a tree; )
14 щоб Авраамове благослове́ння в Ісусі Христі поши́рилося на поган, щоб обі́тницю Духа прийняти нам вірою.
that the blessing of Abraham might be on the Gentiles, through Jesus the Messiah; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit by faith.
15 Браття, кажу́ я по-лю́дському: навіть лю́дського затве́рдженого заповіту ніхто не відкидає та до нього не додає.
My brethren, I speak as among men; a man's covenant which is confirmed, no one setteth aside, or changeth any thing in it.
16 А обі́тниці да́ні були Авраамові й насінню його. Не говориться: „і насінням“, як про багатьох, але як про одно́го: „і Насінню твоєму“, яке є Христос.
Now to Abraham was the promise made, and to his seed. And it said to him, not, to thy seeds, as being many; but to thy seed, as being one, which is the Messiah.
17 А я кажу́ це, що заповіту, від Бога затве́рдженого, Зако́н, що прийшов по чотириста тридцяти роках, не відкидає, щоб обі́тницю він зруйнував.
And this I say: That the covenant which was previously confirmed by God in the Messiah, the law which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot set it aside, and nullify the promise.
18 Бо коли від Зако́ну спадщина, то вже не з обі́тниці; Авраамові ж Бог дарував із обі́тниці.
And if the inheritance were by the law, it would not be by promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.
19 Що ж Зако́н? Він був даний з причини пере́ступів, аж поки при́йде Насіння, якому обі́тниця да́на була́; він учинений був анголами рукою посере́дника.
What then is the law? It was added on account of transgression, until that seed should come, to whom belonged the promise: and the law was given by angels through a mediator.
20 Але посере́дник не є для одно́го, Бог же один.
Now a mediator is not of one; but God is one.
21 Отож, чи ж Зако́н проти Божих обі́тниць? Зо́всім ні! Якби бо був да́ний Зако́н, щоб він міг оживляти, то праведність справді була б від Зако́ну!
Is the law then opposed to the promise of God? Far be it. For if a law had been given, which could make alive, certainly, righteousness would have been by the law.
22 Та все зачинило Писа́ння під гріх, щоб віруючим була да́на обі́тниця з віри в Ісуса Христа.
But the scripture hath inclosed all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus the Messiah might be given to them that believe.
23 Але поки прийшла віра, під Зако́ном стере́жено нас, за́мкнених до при́ходу віри, що мала об'яви́тись.
But before the faith came, the law kept us shut up unto the faith that was to be revealed.
24 Тому то Зако́н вихо́вником був до Христа, щоб нам виправдатися вірою.
The law, therefore, was a monitor for us unto the Messiah, that we might become just by faith.
25 А як віра прийшла, то вже ми не під вихо́вником.
But the faith having come, we are not under the monitor.
26 Бо ви всі сини Божі через віру в Христа Ісуса!
For ye are all the children of God, by faith in Jesus the Messiah.
27 Бо ви всі, що в Христа охристилися, у Христа зодягну́лися!
For they who have been baptized into the Messiah, have put on the Messiah.
28 Нема юдея, ні грека, нема раба, ані вільного, нема чоловічої статі, ані жіночої, — бо всі ви один у Христі Ісусі!
There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free-born, neither male nor female; for ye are all one in Jesus the Messiah.
29 А коли ви Христові, то ви Авраамове насіння й за обі́тницею спадкоємці.
And if ye are the Messiah's, then are ye the seed of Abraham, and heirs by the promise.
