2 Петра 1
1 Симеон Петро, раб та апо́стол Ісуса Христа, до тих, хто одержав із нами рівноці́нну віру в праведності Бога нашого й Спасителя Ісуса Христа:
SHEMUN PETROS, a servant of Jeshu Meshiha, to those who by faith the same in preciousness with us have been made equal, through the righteousness of our Lord and our Redeemer Jeshu Meshiha.
2 благодать вам та мир нехай примно́житься в пізна́нні Бога й Ісуса, Господа нашого!
Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha.
3 Усе, що потрібне для життя та побожности, подала́ нам Його Божа сила пізна́нням Того, Хто покликав нас славою та чесно́тою.
As He who all (things) which of the divine power are unto life and godliness hath given (us), through the knowledge of Him who hath called us unto the glory of him and of virtue,
4 Через них даро́вані нам цінні та великі обі́тниці, щоб ними ви стали уча́сниками Божої Істо́ти, утікаючи від пожадливого світового тління.
by annunciations great and precious which he hath given to you, that by them you may be partakers of the divine nature, while you escape the corruption of the lusts which are in the world;
5 Тому́ докладіть до цього всю пильність, і покажіть у вашій вірі чесно́ту, а в чесно́ті — пізна́ння,
So, with this, bringing in all diligence, add to your faith virtue; but to virtue knowledge,
6 а в пізнанні — стри́мання, а в стри́манні — терпеливість, а в терпеливості — благоче́стя,
but to knowledge perseverance, but to perseverance patience, but to patience godliness,
7 а в благочесті — брате́рство, а в братерстві — любов.
but to godliness brotherly kindness, but to brotherly kindness love.
8 Бо коли це в вас є та примно́жується, то воно зробить вас нелінивими, ані безплідними для пізна́ння Господа нашого Ісуса Христа.
For while these are found with you, and abound, neither slothfulness nor unfruitfulness will stand against you in the knowledge of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha.
9 А хто цього не має, той сліпий, короткозо́рий, він забув про очи́щення з своїх давніх гріхів.
For he with whom these are not found is blind, and seeth not, and hath forgotten the purification of his former sins.
10 Тому́, браття, тим більше дба́йте чинити міцни́м своє покли́кання та ви́брання, бо, ро́блячи так, ви ніко́ли не спіткне́тесь.
Upon this the more, my brethren, be careful, that by your good works your calling and your election you may confirm; for, while you do these, you will never lapse;
11 Бо щедро відкриється вам вхід до вічного Царства Господа нашого й Спасителя Ісуса Христа. (aiōnios g166)
for so abundantly shall be given to you the entrance of the eternal kingdom of our Lord and our Saviour Jeshu Meshiha. (aiōnios g166)
12 Тому то ніко́ли я не зане́дбую про це вам нагадувати, хоч ви й знаєте, і впе́внені в тепе́рішній правді.
Wherefore it doth not weary me to remind you constantly of these, that you may know well, and be established upon this truth.
13 Бо вважаю я за справедливе, доки я в цій оселі, спону́кувати вас нага́дуванням,
But I consider it right, so long as I am in this body, to stir you up in remembrance:
14 знаючи, що я незаба́ром повинен покинути оселю свою, як і Госпо́дь наш Ісус Христос об'явив мені.
knowing that the decease of my body is shortly (to be, ) as also our Lord Jeshu Meshiha hath made me know.
15 А я пильнуватиму, щоб ви й по моє́му відхо́ді за́вжди мали це в пам'яті.
But be careful also that (these) you may continually have; that also after my going forth the memorial of them you may observe.
16 Бо ми сповістили вам силу та прихід Господа нашого Ісуса Христа, не йдучи за хитро видуманими байка́ми, але бувши самови́дцями Його ве́личі.
For it is not after fables which are made with art that we have gone, in making known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha, but as we were spectators of his majesty.
17 Бо Він честь та славу прийняв від Бога Отця, як до Нього прийшов від величної слави голос такий: „Це Син Мій Улю́блений, що Його Я вподо́бав!“
For when he received from Aloha the Father honour and glory, while a voice came to him as this, after the glorious beauty of his majesty, This is my Son, the Beloved, in whom I have delighted;
18 І цей голос, що з неба зійшов, ми чули, як із Ним були на святій горі.
we also this voice heard from heaven, as it came to him when we were with him in the holy mount.
19 І ми маємо слово пророче певніше. І ви добре робите, що на нього вважаєте, як на світильника, що світить у темному місці, аж поки зачне розвидня́тися, і світова́ зірни́ця засяє у ваших серцях,
We have that which is sure also, the word of prophecy; that into which you do well to look, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the sun arise in your hearts.
20 бо ви знаєте перше про те, що жодне проро́цтво в Писа́нні від власного ви́яснення не залежить.
While this first you know, that every prophecy of the scripture its own solution is not.
21 Бо проро́цтва ніко́ли не було з волі лю́дської, а звіщали його святі Божі му́жі, прова́джені Духом Святим.
For not by the will of man came any prophecy, but while by the Holy Spirit led spake the holy men of God.
