Від Луки 6
1 І сталось другої суботи після першої, ійшов Він через засїви, й рвали ученики Його колоссє, та й їли, потерши в руках.
It happened that on a Sabbath he was going through the wheat-fields. His disciples were picking the ears and eating the wheat, rubbing it out with their hands.
2 Деякі ж з Фарисеїв казали їм: На що робите, чого не годить ся робити в суботу?
And some of the Pharisees asked, "Why are you doing what it is not lawful to do on the Sabbath?"
3 І, озвавшись до них, рече Ісус: Хиба й того не читали, що зробив Давид, як зголоднів він і тї, що були з ним:
"Have you never read," answered Jesus, "what David did when he and his followers were hungry?
4 як, увійшовши вій у дом Божий, хлїби показні взяв і їв, і дав також тим, що були з ним, котрих не годилось їсти, хиба одним священикам?
"How he entered into God’s house and took and ate the Presented Loaves, and gave some to his followers, loaves which none must eat but the priests?
5 І рече їм: Син чоловічий - Вів Господь і суботи.
"THE SON OF MAN," he told them, "IS LORD EVEN OVER THE SABBATH."
6 І сталось також другої суботи: ввійшов Він у школу та й навчав; а був там чоловік, що рука в него права була суха.
On another Sabbath he went into a synagogue and was teaching; and there was there a man whose right hand was withered.
7 Назирали ж Його письменники та Фарисеї, чи в суботу сцїляти ме, щоб знайти вину на Него.
Now the Scribes and Pharisees kept watching to see if he would heal on the Sabbath, so that they might be able to bring on accusations to him.
8 Він же знав думки їх, і рече чоловіку сухорукому: Устань і стань на середину. Він же, вставши, стояв.
He was all along aware of their thoughts; and he said to the man with the withered hand, "Rise, and stand there in the midst."
9 Рече ж Ісус до них: Спитаю вас: Що годить ся по суботам: добре робити, чи лихе робити? душу спасати, чи погубляти?
So he rose and stood. Then Jesus said to them. "I ask you whether it is lawful on the Sabbath Day to do good or to do harm? To save a life or to destroy it?"
10 І, споглянувши кругом по всіх їх, рече чоловікові: Простягни руку твою. Він же зробив так, і стала рука його здорова, як і друга.
Then he looked round about on them in anger, and said to him, "Stretch out your hand!"
11 Вони ж сповнились лютостю і говорили один до одного, що б зробити Ісусові.
He did so; and his hand was restored. But they were filled with fury, and they began to talk over together what they could do to Jesus.
12 Стало ж ся тими днями, вийшов Він на гору молитись, і був усю ніч на молитві Богу.
It happened about that time that he went out into the mountain to pray. He continued all night in prayer to God.
13 А, як настав день, покликав учеників своїх; і, вибравши з них дванайцятьох, котрих і апостолами назвав:
And when day dawned he called his disciples, and from among them he selected twelve, whom also he called Apostles missionaries.
14 Симона, що назвав Петром, та Андрея брата його. Якова та Йоана, Филипа та Вартоломея,
They were Simon, whom he had also called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James and John;
15 Маттея та Тому, Якова Алфєєвого та Симона, на прізвище Зилота,
Philip and Bartholomew; Mathew and Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon called the Zealot;
16 Юду Якового та Юду Іскариоцького, що й став ся зрадником;
Jude the son of James, and Judas Iscariot who was the traitor.
17 і зійшовши з ними, став на місці рівному, й товариство учеників Його, і множество велике людей з усієї Юдеї і Єрусалиму, й з побережжя Тирського та Сидонського, що поприходили слухати Його і сцїлятися від недуг своїх,
With these he came down till he reached a level place, where there was a great crowd of his disciples and a great many people from all Judea and Jerusalem and from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon. These came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases.
18 і мучені від духів нечистих; і спїляли ся.
Those who were tormented by unclean spirits were healed also.
19 І ввесь народ шукав приторкнутись до Него: бо сила від Него виходила, й сцїляла всіх.
The whole crowd were trying to touch him, because power emanated from him and cured them all.
20 І знявши Він очі свої на ученики свої, рече: Блаженні вбогі, бо ваше царство Боже.
Then raising his eyes upon his disciples he began to say to them. "Blessed are you poor, For the kingdom of God is yours.
21 Блаженні голодні тепер, бо насититесь. Блаженні плачущі тепер, бо сьміяти метесь.
"Blessed are you who are hungry now, For you shall be filled. "Blessed are you who are wailing now, For you shall laugh.
22 Блаженні, коли ненавидіти муть вас люде, й коли проженуть вас, і осоромлять, і викинуть імя ваше, яв зло, задля Сина чоловічого.
"Blessed are you when men shall hate you, And excommunicate you and reproach you, and cast out your name as evil because of the Son of man.
23 Радуйтесь того дня і веселїтесь, ось бо нагорода ваша велика на небі; так бо чинили пророкам батьки їх.
"Rejoice in that day and exult, For your reward is great in heaven; For even so did their fathers to the prophets.
24 Горе ж вам, багатим І бо прийняли ви утіху вашу.
"But woe to you rich! For you already have received your consolation.
25 Горе вам, ситим! бо голодувати мете. Горе вам, що сьмієтесь тепер; бо сумувати мете да плакати мете.
"Woe unto you who are full now! For you shall suffer hunger. "Woe to you who are laughing now! For you shall wail and weep.
26 Горе вам, коли добре говорити муть про вас усї люде; так бо робили лжепророкам батьки їх.
"Woe to you when all men shall speak well of you! For even so did their fathers to the false prophets.
27 Тільки ж глаголю вам, слухаючим: Любіть ворогів ваших, добре робіть ненавидникам вашим,
"But to you who are listening to me I say, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,
28 благословляйте кленучих вас, і моліть ся за обидників ваших.
Bless those who curse you, pray for those who calumniate you.
29 Хто бв тебе у щоку, підстав і другу; а хто бере твою свиту, й жупанка не борони.
To him who gives you a blow on the jaw Turn the other jaw also; And from him who is robbing you of your cloak Withhold not your coat also.
30 Всякому, хто просить у тебе, дай, і хто бере що твоє, не допевняй ся.
Give to every one who asks you; And do not demand your goods back from him who is taking them away.
31 І, як хочете, щоб чинили вам люде, так і ви чинїть їм.
And as you would like men to do to you, So do you also to them.
32 І коли любите тих, хто любить. вас, яка вам дяка? бо й грішники тих, хто їх любить, люблять.
"If you love those who love you what credit is it to you? Why even sinners love those who love them.
33 І коли добро робите тим, хто добро робить вам, яка вам дяка? бо й грішники те саме чинять.
"And if you are kind to those who are kind to you, what credit is it to you? Even sinners do the same.
34 І коли позичаєте тим, від кого маєте надію одержати, яка вам дяка? бо й грішники грішникам позичають, щоб одержати стільки ж.
"And if you lend to those from whom you are hoping to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, so as to get as much back.
35 Нї, любіть ворогів ваших, і добро робіть, і позичайте, нічого від них не сподіваючись; а буде нагорода ваша велика, й будете синами Вишнього; бо Він благий до невдячних і лихих.
"But you must love even your enemies and be kind to them, And lend, despairing of no man. Then your reward will be great, And you will be the sons of the Most High; For he is kind even to the ungrateful and to the evil.
36 Будьте ж оце милосердні, як і Отець ваш милосерден.
"Do you therefore be merciful, As your Father is merciful.
37 І не судіть, то й не будете суджені; не осуджуйте, то й не будете осуджені; прощайте, то й буде вам прощено.
"Do not judge, and you shall not be judged; Do not condemn, and you shall not be condemned;
38 Давайте, то й вам буде дано; міру добру, наталовану, й струснуту, й надто пересипану давати муть вам на лоно ваше. Такою бо мірою, якою міряєте, відміряєть ся вам.
"Pardon, and you shall be pardoned; Give, and gifts shall be given to you; Full measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, they shall pour into your bosom. For with what measure you measure, they will measure back to you."
39 Сказав же приповість їм: Чи може слїпий сліпого водити? хиба обидва в яму не впадуть?
He also told them a parable. "Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit?
40 Нема ученика над учителя свого; звершений же - буде кожен, як учитель його.
"There is no disciple who is above his master; But every one when he is completely trained will be like his master.
41 Чого ж дивиш ся на порошину в оці брата твого, полїна ж у своєму оці не чуєш?
"And why do you look at the splinter that is in your brother’s eye, but never consider the beam that is in your own eye?
42 І як можеш казати братові твоєму: Брате, дай вийму порошину, що в оцї твоїм, сам в оці своїм полїна не бачивши? Лицеміре, викинь перше ломаку з ока твого, а тодї бачити меш вийняти порошину з ока брата твого.
"Or how can you say to your brother. "Brother, allow me to pull that splinter out of your eye," when you do not see the beam in your own eye? Hypocrite! Take out first the beam from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the splinter from your brother’s eye.
43 Нема бо дерева доброго, що родить овощ пустий; анї дерева пустого, що родить овощ добрий.
"For there is not good tree which bears worthless fruit, nor again any worthless tree which bears good fruit; for each tree is known by its own fruit.
44 Кожне бо дерево по свому овощу пізнаєть ся; не збирають бо з тернини смокви, анї збирають з ожини винограду.
"You do not gather figs from thorns, and grapes are not plucked from a bramble-bush.
45 Добрий чоловік з доброго скарбу серця свого виносить добре; а лихий чоловік з лихого скарбу серця свого виносить лихе: бо з переповнї серця промовляють уста його.
"The good man out of the good treasure-house of his heart brings forth good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure-house of his heart brings forth evil; for the mouth speaks out of the abundance of the heart.
46 На що ж мене звете Господи, Господи, й не робите, що я глаголю?
"And why are you calling me Lord, Lord, and not doing what I tell you?
47 Всякий, хто приходить до мене, й слухає слова мої, та й чинить їх, покажу вам, кому він подобен:
"I will show whom the man that comes to me, and listens to my works, and does them, is like.
48 подобен він чоловікові, будуючому будинок, що викопав глибоко, й положив підвалину на каменї; як же повідь настала, наперла бистрінь на будинок той, та не змогла схитнути його: збудовано бо його на каменї.
"He is like a man who is building a house who digged and went deep and laid a foundation upon rock. And, when a flood came, the torrent dashed against that house, but could not move, because it had been founded upon rock.
49 Хто ж слухає, та не чинить, подобен чоловікові, будуючому будинок на землї, без підвалини, на котрий наперла бистрінь, і зараз упав, і була руїна будинка того велика.
"But he who listens but does not do, is like a man who built a house upon the soil, without foundations, against which the torrent burst, and at once it fell in, and the ruin of that house was great."
