1 Поглянувши ж добачив, як кидали дари свої в скарбону заможні.
And he biheeld, and saye tho riche men, that casten her yiftis in to the treserie;
2 Побачив же й одну вдовицю вбогу, що кидала туди дві лепти.
but he saye also a litil pore widewe castynge twei ferthingis.
3 І рече: Правдиво глаголю вам, що вдовиця вбога ся більш усїх укинула:
And he seide, Treuli Y seie to you, that this pore widewe keste more than alle men.
4 всі бо ті з достатку свого кидали у дари Божі, ся ж з недостатку свого увесь прожиток свій, що мала, вкинула.
For whi alle these of thing that was plenteuouse to hem casten in to the yiftis of God; but this widewe of that thing that failide to hir, caste al hir liflode, that sche hadde.
5 І як деякі говорили про церкву, що каміннєм красним та посьвятами украшена, рече:
And whanne sum men seiden of the temple, that it was apparailid with gode stoonus and yiftis,
6 Із сього, що бачите, прийдуть днї, в котрі не зоставить ся камінь на камені, щоб не зруйновано.
he seide, These thingis that ye seen, daies schulen come, in whiche a stoon schal not be left on a stoon, which schal not be destried.
7 Питали ж Його, кажучи: Учителю, коли ж се буде? й що за ознака коли се мав стати ся?
And thei axiden hym, and seiden, Comaundour, whanne schulen these thingis be? and what tokne schal be, whanne thei schulen bigynne to be don?
8 Він же рече: Гледїть, щоб не була введені; многі бо прийдуть в імя моє, кажучи: Що се я. А час приближив ся; не йдіть же за вами.
And he seide, Se ye, that ye be not disseyued; for many schulen come in my name, seiynge, For Y am, and the tyme schal neiye; therfor nyle ye go aftir hem.
9 Яв же почуєте про войни та ворохобнї, не полохайтесь; мусить бо перш се статись; тільки ж не зараз конець.
And whanne ye schulen here batailis and stryues with ynne, nyle ye be aferd; it bihoueth first these thingis to be don, but not yit anoon is an ende.
10 Тодї рече їм: Устане нарід на нарід і царство на царство,
Thanne he seide to hem, Folk schal rise ayens folk, and rewme ayens rewme;
11 і трус великий по місцях, і голоднеча, й помір буде, й страхи, й о-внаки з неба великі будуть.
grete mouyngis of erthe schulen be bi placis, and pestilencis, and hungris, and dredis fro heuene, and grete tokenes schulen be.
12 Та перш того всього наложать на вас руки свої і гонити муть, видаючи в школи й темницї, і водячи перед царі та ігемони задля імя мого.
But bifore alle these thingis thei schulen sette her hoondis on you, and schulen pursue, bitakynge in to synagogis and kepyngis, drawynge to kyngis and to iusticis, for my name;
13 І станеть ж воно вам на сьвідкуваннє.
but it schal falle to you in to witnessyng.
14 Постановіть же в серцях, ваших наперед, не готовитись відказувати:
Therfor putte ye in youre hertis, not to thenke bifore, hou ye schulen answere; for Y schal yyue to you mouth and wisdom,
15 я бо дам вам уста й премудрість, котрій не здолїють противитись, анї встояти усї противники ваші.
to whiche alle youre aduersaries schulen not mowe ayenstonde, and ayenseie.
16 Будете ж видавані й від родителїв, і братів, і родини, й приятелїв; і вбивати муть деяких з вас.
And ye schulen be takun of fadir, and modir, and britheren, and cosyns, and freendis, and bi deeth thei schulen turmente of you;
17 І будете ненавиджені від усіх задля імя мого.
and ye schulen be in haate to alle men for my name.
18 Та й волосина з голови вашої не загине.
And an heere of youre heed schal not perische;
19 У терпінню вашому осягнїть душі ваші.
in youre pacience ye schulen welde youre soulis.
20 Як же побачите, що обгорнуто таборами Єрусалим, тоді знайте, що наближило ся спустїннє його.
But whanne ye schulen se Jerusalem ben enuyround with an oost, thanne wite ye, that the desolacioun of it schal neiye.
21 Тодї, хто в Юдеї, нехай біжять у гори; а хто в середині в йому, нехай виходять; а ті, що по селах, нехай не ввіходять у него.
Thanne thei that ben in Judee, fle to the mountans; and thei that ben in the mydil of it, gon awei; and thei that ben in the cuntreis, entre not in to it.
22 Бо се днї мести, щоб справдилось усе написане.
For these ben daies of veniaunce, that alle thingis that ben writun, be fulfillid.
23 Горе ж важким і годуючим у ті днї! буде бо біда велика на землі, і гнів на народі сьому.
And wo to hem, that ben with child, and norischen in tho daies; for a greet diseese schal be on the erthe, and wraththe to this puple.
24 І поляжуть від гострого меча, й позаймані будуть у полонь до всіх поган; і топтати муть Єрусалим погане, доки сповнять ся часи поган.
And thei schulen falle bi the scharpnesse of swerd, and thei schulen be led prisoneris in to alle folkis; and Jerusalem schal be defoulid of hethene men, til the tymes of naciouns be fulfillid.
25 І будуть ознаки на сонцї, й місяці, й зорях, а на землї переполох народів у ваколотї; як зареве море та филї.
And tokenes schulen be in the sunne, and the mone, and in the sterris; and in the erthe ouerleiyng of folkis, for confusioun of sown of the see and of floodis;
26 І омертвіють люде від страху та дожидання того, що прийде на все-денну: сили бо небесні захитають ся.
for men schulen wexe drye for drede and abidyng that schulen come to al the world; for vertues of heuenes schulen be mouyd.
27 І тодї побачять Сина чоловічого йдучого на хмарі з силою і славою великою.
And thanne thei schulen se mannys sone comynge in a cloude, with greet power and maieste.
28 Як же почне се діятись, випростуйтесь і підіймайте голови ваші; бо наближилось викупленнє ваше.
And whanne these thingis bigynnen to be maad, biholde ye, and reise ye youre heedis, for youre redempcioun neiyeth.
29 І сказав приповість їм: Бачте смоківницю і всякі дерева:
And he seide to hem a liknesse, Se ye the fige tre, and alle trees,
30 Як розпукутоть ся вже, бачивши самі розумієте, що вже близько лїто.
whanne thei bryngen forth now of hem silf fruyt, ye witen that somer is nyy;
31 Так і ви, коли побачите, як се станеть ся, знайте, що близько царство Боже.
so ye, whanne ye seen these thingis to be don, wite ye, that the kyngdom of God is nyy.
32 Істино глаголи вам: Ще не перейде рід сей, доки все станеть ся.
Treuli Y seie to you, that this generacioun schal not passe, til alle thingis be don.
33 Небо й земля перейде, слова ж мої не перейдуть.
Heuene and erthe schulen passe, but my wordis schulen not passe.
34 Остерегайте ся ж, щоб часом не обтягчились ваші серця прожорством та пянством, та журбою життя сього, й щоб несподівано на вас не настиг день той.
But take ye heede to you silf, lest perauenture youre hertis be greuyd with glotony, and drunkenesse, and bisynessis of this lijf, and thilke dai come sodein on you; for as a snare it schal come on alle men,
35 Бо, як сітка, впаде на всіх, що живуть на лицї всієї землі.
that sitten on the face of al erthe.
36 Пильнуйте, по всяк час молячись, щоб удостоїли ся втекти від того всього, що має статись, і станути перед Сином чоловічим.
Therfor wake ye, preiynge in ech tyme, that ye be hadde worthi to fle alle these thingis that ben to come, and to stonde bifor mannus sone.
37 Навчав же днями в церкві, ночами ж виходячи, пробував на горі, званій Оливною.
And in daies he was techynge in the temple, but in nyytis he yede out, and dwellide in the mount, that is clepid of Olyuet.
38 Усї ж люде сходились рано до Него в церкву слухати Його.
And al the puple roos eerli, to come to hym in the temple, and to here hym.
