Від Івана 16
1 Се я глаголав вам, щоб ви не поблазнились.
These thinges haue I saide vnto you, that ye should not be offended.
2 Вилучати муть вас із шкіл; ба прийде час, що всякий, хто вбиває вас, думати ме, що службу приносить Богу
They shall excommunicate you: yea, the time shall come, that whosoeuer killeth you, will thinke that he doeth God seruice.
3 І се робити муть вам, бо не знали нї Отця, нї мене.
And these things will they doe vnto you, because they haue not knowen ye Father, nor me.
4 Та се сказав я вам, щоб, як прийде час, згадали про се, що я глаголав вам; бо з вами був.
But these things haue I tolde you, that when the houre shall come, ye might remember, that I tolde you them. And these things said I not vnto you from ye beginning, because I was with you.
5 Тепер же йду до Пославшого мене; й нїхто з вас не питає мене: Куди йдеш?
But now I go my way to him that sent me, and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?
6 Та що се сказав я вам, смуток сповнив ваше серце.
But because I haue saide these thinges vnto you, your hearts are full of sorowe.
7 Тільки ж я правду глаголю вам: лучче вам, щоб я пійшов; як бо не дійду, Утішитель не прийде до вас; як же пійду, пришлю Його до вас.
Yet I tell you the trueth, It is expedient for you that I goe away: for if I goe not away, that Comforter will not come vnto you: but if I depart, I will send him vnto you.
8 А Той прийшовши, докорить сьвітові за гріх, і за правду, і за суд:
And when he is come, he will reproue the worlde of sinne, and of righteousnesse, and of iudgement.
9 за гріх бо не вірують у мене;
Of sinne, because they beleeued not in me:
10 за правду ж, бо я до Отця мого йду, й більш не побачите мене;
Of righteousnesse, because I goe to my Father, and ye shall see me no more:
11 за суд, бо князь сьвіта сього осуджений.
Of iudgement, because the prince of this world is iudged.
12 Ще багато маю глаголати вам, та ви не можете носити нині.
I haue yet many things to say vnto you, but ye cannot beare them nowe.
13 Як же прийде той Дух правди, то проведе вас до всякої правди; бо глаголати ме не від себе, а все, що чути ме, буде глаголати, й що настане, звістить вам.
Howbeit, when he is come which is the Spirit of trueth, he will leade you into all trueth: for he shall not speake of himselfe, but whatsoeuer he shall heare, shall he speake, and he will shew you the things to come.
14 Той мене прославить: бо з мого прийме і звістить вам.
He shall glorifie me: for he shall receiue of mine, and shall shewe it vnto you.
15 Усе, що має Отець, - моє: тим я сказав, що з мого Він прийме, і звістить вам.
All thinges that the Father hath, are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shewe it vnto you.
16 Трохи, і не будете видїти мене; а знов трохи, і побачите мене; бо я йду до Отця.
A litle while, and ye shall not see me: and againe a litle while, and ye shall see me: for I goe to the Father.
17 Казали тоді деякі з учеників Його між собою: Що се, що каже нам: Трохи, і не будете видїти мене, а знов трохи, і побачите мене, і: Бо я йду до Отця?
Then said some of his disciples among them selues, What is this that he saieth vnto vs, A litle while, and ye shall not see me, and againe, a litle while, and ye shall see me, and, For I goe to the Father.
18 Казали ж: Що се, що каже: Трохи? Не знаємо, що Він каже.
They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A litle while? we know not what he sayeth.
19 Знав же Ісус, що хотіли Його спитати, й рече їм: Про се розпитуєтесь між собою, що я сказав: Трохи, і не будете видїти мене, а знов: трохи, і побачите мене?
Now Iesus knew that they would aske him, and said vnto them, Doe ye enquire among your selues, of that I said, A litle while, and ye shall not see me: and againe, a litle while, and yee shall see me?
20 Істино, істино глаголю вам: Що плакати й ридати будете ви, сьвіт же веселитись; ви ж смуткувати мете, та смуток ваш на радощі обернеть ся.
Verely, verely I say vnto you, that ye shall weepe and lament, and the worlde shall reioyce: and ye shall sorowe, but your sorowe shalbe turned to ioye.
21 Жінка як роджає, смуток має, бо прийшла година її; скоро ж уродить дитину, вже не памятає муки з радощів, що народив ся чоловік на сьвіт.
A woman when she traueileth, hath sorowe, because her houre is come: but assoone as she is deliuered of the childe, she remembreth no more the anguish, for ioy that a man is borne into the world.
22 І ви оце тепер смуток маєте; знов же побачу вас, і звеселить ся серце ваше, і радощів ваших піхта не візьме од вас.
And ye nowe therefore are in sorowe: but I will see you againe, and your hearts shall reioyce, and your ioy shall no man take from you.
23 І того дня в мене не питати мете. Істино, істино глаголю вам: Що чого нї попросите в Отпя імям моїм, дасть вам.
And in that day shall ye aske me nothing. Verely, verely I say vnto you, whatsoeuer ye shall aske the Father in my Name, he will giue it you.
24 Досі не просили ви нїчого в імя моє. Просіть, то й приймете, щоб радість ваша була певна.
Hitherto haue ye asked nothing in my Name: aske, and ye shall receiue, that your ioye may be full.
25 Оце приповістями глаголав вам; та прийде час, що більше вже приповістями не глаголати му вам, а явно про Отця звіщу вам.
These things haue I spoken vnto you in parables: but the time will come, when I shall no more speake to you in parables: but I shall shew you plainely of the Father.
26 Того дня просити мете в імя моє, і не глаголю вам, що я просити му Отця за вас.
At that day shall ye aske in my Name, and I say not vnto you, that I will pray vnto the Father for you:
27 Сам бо Отець любить вас; бо ви мене полюбили, й увірували, що я від Бога вийшов.
For the Father himselfe loueth you, because ye haue loued me, and haue beleeued that I came out from God.
28 Я вийшов од Отця, і прийшов на сьвіт. Знов оставляю сьвіт і йду до Отця.
I am come out from the Father, and came into the worlde: againe I leaue the worlde, and goe to the Father.
29 Кажуть Йому ученики Його: Оттепер явно глаголеш, і приповісти ніякої не кажеш.
His disciples saide vnto him, Loe, nowe speakest thou plainely, and thou speakest no parable.
30 Тепер знаємо, що знавш усе, і не треба, щоб хто питав Тебе. По сьому віруємо, що від Бога вийшов єси.
Nowe knowe wee that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should aske thee. By this we beleeue, that thou art come out from God.
31 Відказав їм Ісус: Тепер віруєте?
Iesus answered them, Doe you beleeue nowe?
32 Ось прийде час, і нині прийшов, щоб ви розсипались кожен у свій бік, а мене самого зоставили; та я не сам, бо Отець зо мною.
Beholde, the houre commeth, and is already come, that ye shalbe scattered euery man into his owne, and shall leaue me alone: but I am not alone: for the Father is with me.
33 Се глаголав я вам, щоб у менї впокій мали. У сьвітї горе мати мете, тільки ж бодріть ся: я побідив сьвіт.
These thinges haue I spoken vnto you, that in me ye might haue peace: in the world ye shall haue affliction, but be of good comfort: I haue ouercome the world.
